His pre-pubescent voice is cloying and the lyrics don't help. The music is saccharine, generic and forgettable.

Like other reviews, this album is just too generic, and has annoying songs everywhere.

When I first heard Baby playing I was in a school trip and I was 100% convinced it was sung by a girl. Can we just wait for the artist to grow up, get a voice, get a direction and then launch them in stardom?

Wow, that was...interesting. When Justin Beiber’s album “My World” came out, everyone seemed to go nuts over it, and I cannot see why. Most of the songs in it are electronic corny messes, though I must admit there are a couple songs in here that I actually enjoyed, like Down To Earth. I’m pretty sure that’s the only reason that this album did not score in the red. For the rest of the songs, I will not be listening to them again since I do not get paid enough to want to do so (haha I am an unpaid critic). One Time had distracting generic electronic drums (actually, electronic everything, so the music wasn’t that great), the “ay” bits in it were extremely cringy, and the rest of the lyrics were nothing special. Favorite Girl had a lot better music than One Time, but it was plagued by even cornier lyrics. Bleh. I was very surprised by Down To Earth, which I actually liked. It had powerful lyrics, which I did not expect. Its lyrics may have been a little repetitive, but otherwise it was super. I thought Bigger had a good message, but this song was extremely hard to take seriously. At the time of this release, Beiber was only 15 years old. This begs the question of “how much bigger” he is that the time he is referring to. It just seems so odd for any high schooler to talk about their maturity levels that way. One Less Lonely Girl was the only other song on this album that was decent. It had weird lyrical timing, and I’m not sure how I felt about those (most of the lyrics were good but a large portion of them were really cheesy). The song was also a bit repetitive but the music was splendid. I would describe First Dance as (sorry) garbage. I don’t usually like to describe music that way, since I like to respect the fact that someone actually wrote this, but the whole song seemed so fake. The lyrics were terrible, and so was the electronic music (I struggled listening to the whole thing). Plus, where the heck did the rap come from? It really did not fit the mood the song was trying to create. Overall, just a trainwreck of a song. The bass was good but even that could not change my mind about this song. It was horrible. The sad thing about this too, is that Love Me was not any better. Its music was bad but somehow its lyrics were worse. They were the worst kind of cheesy, and I wanted to make it stop but I wanted to give this album a fair review so I powered through. I don’t feel bad giving that song a zero. In general, besides maybe two good songs here, I would advise skipping this whole album, as it just was bad. The only reason I listened to it was because people were flipping out over Changes, and I wanted to review that. The only problem is, I like building up from an artist’s oldest albums to their newest, and this is Justin Beiber’s oldest album. After listening to his first, I can tell this is going to be a long journey. Highlight: Down To Earth.

This album is very generic and worthless. Missing connection between tracks. The lyrics and their melodies are nothing new, it seems to be a recycling of sounds already gavados by other artists

Simply put this album is not worth spending your hard earned money on. This is unsurprisingly the first of many many many bad albums something that I believe will continue.

Flat voice , annoying sound, we can consider that the only thing helpful in this album is some compositions , boring teen pop , childish, and immature , expected more from you Bieber , nothing new about the sun , always the bubblegum pop to fasten the little girls teenagers, we still have a Purpose , and a Believe to save the right discography

What a piece of crap! Justin Bieber and his music sucks. And JB is also one of those singers I beat up in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U AND Nintendo 3DS. Avoid this trash of dog poop at all costs!!!!! Buy Mario Party 9 and 10, or Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D instead of this pile of dog poop mixed with diarrhea. He even got detained and arrested by the cops! xD lol

Songs with cheap poppy sound and simplistic, dull and typical vocals, that's what My World is. And does Bieber ever get better at music? No thank you very much.

This album is excellent! If, of course. you're looking for something to ward off would be rapists from entering your home. But then again; they much just kill you for listening to such garbage and then track down the person responsible for bastardizing the music industry.

Is Justin Bieber really a singer? I do not see any music in this album. I think the only great thing he has done is trending in Twitter. Oh, I made a mistake. He is not responsible for that, his fans.

  1. Members of the Clutch, Midi Mafia, â??Trickyâ? Stewart, Usher, and a handful of other notable producers and songwriters grant Bieber a set of songs that isn't quite top-level quality, but the singer more than gets by on his squeaky-clean charm and natural ability.
  2. Bieber is indistinguishable from any of a thousand prefab pop aspirants with musical inadequacies that need glossing over in the studio.
  3. Not surprisingly, My World is long on sugary puppy-love ballads and dinky dance-pop confections; diabetics are advised to stay away.
