Here come the haters. Reading all the negative reviews people are saying the album is actually a 5/6 and some even a 7 but they are giving it a 0 to bring the score down. Obviously rating it incorrectly. Eminem fans are really happy with the album because for them Eminem delivered. Stans could have done the same thing for Revival, but they gave it a 6.

yeah not his worst, but certainly not his best by any means. a lot of the lyrics are just something a teenager could write up

This hurts to say but i don't like this album. He has some decent to trash beats, he has horrible hooks and keeps his annoying stacatto fast flow that lost it's magic after the first few times he did it. His attitude is like a 50 year old man who keeps fighting young kids to get off his lawn. I get why he hates this new generation; his last album was him literally taking a **** on it; youThis hurts to say but i don't like this album. Eminem is in a corner with nothing to say, he has done it all, he rose to be the illest on the mic, he beat his demons, he survived the hard streets of Detroit and I'm not taking that away from him but he has nothing to say; All the clever wordplay an rhymes can't cover up that. I hope that with all the success he gets from this album dosen't bleed to his next one. Expand

I know all the Eminem fans are just spamming 10/10. Which is fake. However, despite wanting to give this a 0-1 just to compensate their fake reviews. I am still going to give it what i think it deserves a 4-5. Reasoning: Cons:
Corny lines in serious songs bother me. The beats were not my favorite. The hooks DID NOT do it for me. Also did not care about eminem’s love life nor did I expect

    Pros:
    He can rappity rap fast
Em is obviously skillful in placement of rhymes, lines and double entendres Pretty good features
I can feel his emotion in some tracks.
Overral not enough to save it, not a trash album, but nothing making it special.

Production is insane. Em is a technical master. Feels like a toned down kamikaze

It has its moments of storytelling and super-zippy-fast-rapping, but it's filled with corny lines and bad hooks. A notch below Kamikaze.

Disappointing album from Eminem. When making fun of new artists he becomes exactly what he criticized.

Id put this album in his top 5. The beats are really well put and the feature list is great. Its nice to see Em incorporate the newer generation. Glad logic wasn’t on the album tho

Eminem isn't good. Just because it rhymes doesn't mean it's good fellas. He raps fast to the point where its hard to listen to. The corny bars are there like always. He should've given Juice Wrld a verse on Godzilla because he was the best part of the song. He also proved he could rap when he freestyled over "My Name Is", which is probably why you wanted him on your album in the firstEminem isn't good. Improvement from last two albums. But definitely did not see any replay value and didn’t excite or intrigue me. Felt like he got “outrapped” by Anderson Paak, and shared several corny bars.

I created a metacritic account because this has gotten out of hand and I wanted to be a voice of reason. Eminem should let his legacy speak for himself, this album is inconsistent and the low points outweigh the high points. It's a 4/10 and everyone needs to relax. Expand

He clearly cares about his output, but “Music To Be Murdered By” is, unfortunately, another mixed bag of tricks, propped up by lyrical acrobatics and underwhelming production.

If they look hard enough, any artist could find criticism of their work online. That’s sort of the curse of the Information Age. But not everyone overreacts quite as much as Eminem does. But if his fears grow tiring, his lyrical ability can still give you something to admire, even if the album is somewhat uneven.

It is not, strictly speaking, a good record—Eminem hasn’t made one of those in a decade—but it boasts enough technical command and generates just enough arresting ideas to hold your attention.
