As a huge fan of psychedelic rock, I would say that this is one of the greatest works in the genre since The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. Not many that albums that take me so far in the musical space. Kind of illustrates the Genius that was Syd Barrett. Claypool and Lennon is not just for the "connoisseur", but also for the neophytes that like hearing best of the genre type of albums. Great album, Sean kicked out his girlfriend at last and paired with the great les claypool, the result is a highly psichadellic album, with great basslines, drums and off coruse both Sean and Les voices, great songs here give it a try

Though there are innumerable influences at work here, it is blessed with an offbeat and singular charm.

It works, thanks in this case to an engagingly loopy clutch of lysergic psych-pop oddities created with Primus frontman Les Claypool.

Monolith of Phobos is an artistic anomaly that, like this year’s election season, will find listeners ultimately settling for one side or another; it’s not that either necessarily likes their choices, rather it’s more they’ve been left with little option other than to settle with the results.
