DaraghL.Sep 17, 2007Different to their stuff, but a good album no matter what the critics say.

JohnSep 15, 2007I think it's not as good as HT but it's a much more interesting than Meteora.

-
DarnellSep 13, 2007It's a great album and it's not an emo album. Linkin Park actually got LESS emotional with their music. The lyrics have different layers of meanings. Some of it is POLITICAL. (i.e. "No More Sorrow", "Little Things Give You Away", etc)

JimmySep 10, 2007Lyrically improved but not musically.

-
DaveSep 8, 2007It's different but not bad. It's softer and slower than previous releases but if you're a pretty open-minded music fan, you'd like this album.

JoshA.Sep 7, 2007This is possibly the best CD Linkin Park has ever done. Forget those people who hated it, if you want to either rock out or calm down and sleep, then Minutes to Midnight is the right choice for you. "What I've Done" was a success, so that means the album is a very huge success. Don't waste your time thinking about it, just buy it! You'll thank me later.

RaviT.Sep 3, 2007Shit what the others have said. This is the bestt album I have ever listened. If you have no taste then don't vote!

BethB.Aug 30, 2007There's a reason why the critics are sitting at computer terminals and Linkin Park are out filling stadiums and arenas. They are musicians and they do their particular brand of music very very well.

SamS.Aug 25, 2007This is a fantastic piece of work by Linkin Park, people who are slamming the album need to wake up, the guys have done fantastic and have already sold a load of these albums showing its popularity!

DamianAug 20, 2007It's an OK album but it's nowhere as good as Meteora or Hybrid Theory.

YashR.Aug 17, 2007This album is not really as bad as ppl reckon it is... I really enjoyed it.. Really shows the band's maturity.I'm really happy they are reducing the rap.

ToddH.Aug 17, 2007Linkin Park is to Minutes to Midnight as Def Leppard is to Slang.

EricC.Aug 14, 2007Heard the whole thing with my brother in his car. God awful. It's like all they are trying to do is end up in a soundtrack for a Michael Bay movie (which they did). One horrible rock ballad after another. They try so hard to be thoughtful and emotional, but ends up being a sob session for guys who probably realize they suck, and just want someone, anyone, so like them.

JamesC.Aug 13, 2007Chester Bennington tries to break away from being Shinoda's sidekick, and fails miserably. The album is trash, i'm glad I didn't buy it the first day it came out, because that'd be one of the most expensive coasters i've ever bought. Next time i'm craving some Linkin Park, i'll queue up "The Rising Tied".

DavidC.Aug 11, 2007This is far from crap. I can see why most people are calling it that but you gotta understand that Linkin Park can't put out yet another album similar to Hybrid Theory. They decided to take a different route and came out with this. This album is indeed too soft for a lot of the older fanbase to listen to but if you can get past that, this is a very enjoyable record.

InsertNameHereAug 4, 2007The album is very different from the previous albums and a lot of the songs are...quieter, not what I expected from a new Linkin Park album and the first time I listened to it I was disgusted at the vast majority of the CD, but No More Sorrow, What I've Done, Given Up, and Bleed It Out give an otherwise horrible album some life.

sarisc.Aug 2, 2007progression. reinvention. evolution. linkin park is unessential. this album is imitation. it is filth that dulls the minds of the many who listen to it. we as a human race must evolve past this garbage. or remain stupid. and continue to de-evolve.

-
mikebAug 2, 2007I think LP's new album is more creative than thier last, seeing that they added a few songs that were slower and some more political, but they strayed to far from thier roots to far...its an ok album

SparxyJul 31, 2007This album is one of they're best in my opinion. they are broadening they're music genre a little and trying new things and they have done a wonderful job with it

peterJul 30, 2007Great sounding album, It's a step back to old fashioned song making in the form of ballads and I have no problem with that

Awards & Rankings
-
The California rap-rockers are stymied by their decision to stay roughly within the shrieky boundaries of their genre (albeit with less emphasis on the rap).
-
Amid the stabs at growth, every new effect sounds borrowed.
-
As you might imagine, the band’s emo makeover doesn’t always go smoothly.
