    Thai sis the best album of 2022!!!!! Not a single skip on this album. It is filled with lyrical masterpiece after masterpiece. Not only on the standard edition but also on the 3 AM edition. This album is TIMELESS and gets even better with every listen. This album is an essential for all music lovers.

    this is absolutely wow. She keeps re-inventing herself. The deluxe album tracks are absolutely phenomenal. This may be one of her best work so far ( although it’s really hard to keep getting better and better when you are the best out there)

    Taylor Swift did it again, this is so strong and incredible, hands down. Taylor is in her 5th peak era and almost above the level of other albums. This is my new personality, welcome midnights me.

    Taylor Swift manages again to make catchy pop anthems and telling her true self at the same time. Although Folklore's artistic personality and poetry might seem a little off, the singer is capable of creating good quality music with a fantastic concept. Midnights' lyrics and productions are not disappointing at all.

    This is not a bad record but it's a disappointment after the folk records and the re-recordings, the songs are enjoyable and the lyrics are great but the production is something that you've heard before and it may seem like Taylor has nothing new to offer in the pop genre.     After the grandiosity that “folkmore” was, it would be really hard for Taylor to keep the pace up. Unfortunately, in my opinion, she didn’t. But, it doesn’t mean necessarily that she didn’t manage to make a great album too. Lyrically wise she did great with “Anti-Hero”, “You’re On Your Own, Kid” and others. The main flaw on midnights for me is its production, which reminds me of “Lover”. AAfter the grandiosity that “folkmore” was, it would be really hard for Taylor to keep the pace up. Unfortunately, in my opinion, she didn’t. But, it doesn’t mean necessarily that she didn’t manage to make a great album too.     Even though the album seems like something we all heard before, the lyrics are a standout. She perfectly joins good synthpop beat with high-level lyrics as seen on Folklore and Evermore. The album seems even more complete with the 3AM edition bonus tracks. She'll have a long career... Even if you don't like her.

    Some strong songs but it felt slightly off theme at points - almost as if they were pushing the 'Midnights' narrative for unity. Some tracks were throwaway, others were good. Not sure about its longevity, we'll have to wait and see!

Lavender Haze and Maroon are just so different from anything she's done before, and Anti-Hero is hands down herThis was the best album of 2022.     Midnights represents the stories of those sleepless nights, that sort of things that we never get able to talk because they’re so internalized on our mind and we can’t just por them out. I loved the “what keeps you up at night?” theme.
    It’s something that really interest me and got me since the first moment.

    álbum maravilhoso. todas as músicas do álbum fazem você se conectar mais ainda com o álbum. a faixa que mais mostra o que é o álbum "midnights" é "midnight rain". nesse álbum tem uma das letras mais pesadas e fortes da carreira da taylor e do ano, se qualificando até ser uma das melhores da década. esse álbum é um complicado de tristeza ("would've could've should've"), autoestimaálbum maravilhoso. todas as músicas do álbum fazem você se conectar mais ainda com o álbum. a faixa que mais mostra o que é o álbum "midnights" é "midnight rain". nesse álbum tem uma das letras mais pesadas e fortes da carreira da taylor e do ano, se qualificando até ser uma das melhores da década. esse álbum é um complicado de tristeza ("would've could've should've"), autoestima depois de um péssimo relacionamento ("bejeweled"), ser a causadora do término (midnight rain), ter uma autoestima extremamente baixa ("anti -hero"), superar ("karma"), e acho melhor vocês escutarem as outras faixas para tirarem a própria opinião. com todo esse álbum foi mostrado que a Taylor é SIM a artista da década e music industry. Taylor sempre será uma excelente artista e nenhum hater/anti dela pode provar o contrário desse fato. um álbum extremamente criticado por uns e amado por pessoas que entendem de composição e músicas. enfim, acho que já deu para entender como a Taylor fez um álbum complexo e como ela se provou como ótima artista com essa resenha.

    When I first listened to “Midnights” I had it rated higher than a 7. Since it’s been out a while it’s been hard to revisit it. It’s a good album overall but I feel it’s lacking something. The production falls a little flat on some of the songs (maroon for example). There are a lot of ideas on this album and I wished they pushed more to the pop side or the alternative side. 7.5/10

    What else would one want from an album? Swift isn't shy to talk about the big topics. Insecurity, Revenge, Loneliness, mistakes. It's an iconic album with wonderful tracks. Well it's kind of the same with 'Midnights'. Very good, but not on par with my personal favourites (being Red, Speak Now, Folklore, Evermore).

    Some songs are very groovy and catchy : 'lavender haze', 'anti hero', 'karma'.
    Some are more experimental / personal, and less likely to be a bop, but I still like them VERY much : 'you're on your own kid', 'vigilante **** 'mastermind'.
    And some are pretty boring to be honest : 'labyrinth', 'bejeweled', 'maroon'... Not my cup of tea anyway.

    The albums gains weight and depth with the '3am songs', some of which are really good ('the great war', 'would've, could've, should've', 'dear reader'). I don't like Paris though. The song. Not the city. I live in here and I love it. The song doesn't do the city justice. But anyway.

    Production wise it's... well, it's cohesive. But I feel like, ever since Red didn't get the Grammy in 2013, she's been obsessed with making 'cohesive' albums, which I don't get. To me, an album doesn't need to be cohesive to be a great album. 'Midnights' is very cohesive but it doesn't make it better than some of her more diverse albums. But that's just my opinion.

    I like Taylor best when she gets dramatic and unleashes the beautiful and sharp lyrics, the key changes, the waves of contradictory emotions... A few example of this in various albums of hers are : 'Mary's song', 'the way I loved you', 'dear John', 'all too well' (obviously), 'out of the woods', 'getaway car', 'cruel summer', 'august', 'betty', 'champagne problems'... I don't find many songs with this 'dramatic' vibe that I like on 'Midnights'. I'm still vibing to some songs ('lavender haze', 'karma', 'the great war'), and enjoying some lyrics ('mastermind', 'you're on your own kid', 'dear reader'), but there's no all encompassing masterpiece of a song in here, save maybe 'anti hero'.

    I've read some critics here saying that, if this album wasn't by Taylor, we wouldn't pay it as much attention and hype. Which is probably true, to be fair. But it doesn't make it a bad album either.    … Expand

    I did not enjoy it as much as her last two releases, the 2020 sister albums. It just felt a bit watered down and a mixture of lover and reputation, That being said songs such as ANTI HERO, KARMA AND SWEET NOTHING are great. The 3am tracks sound more like the sister albums and I especially LOVE the great war and high infidelity

    A great album full of some of her best tracks. Vigilante **** Lavender Haze, You’re on your own kid, maroon, karma, and bejeweled are all perfect songs. A handful of okay tracks are present, but overall great record.

    She just never disappoints. Perfect mix of the vibes of 1989, darkness of Reputation, and lyricism of Folklore and Evermore. Somehow she managed to make an album that sounds nothing like Taylor Swift, and, at the same time, SO much like Taylor Swift.

    Swift always comes back with not only a hit song but a hit album. This album brings back her pop genre. As she’s being doing a lot of folk and country lately, this definitely bombarded with great pop hits. Karma and Midnight rain are definitely the best songs form the album after would’ve could’ve should’ve.

    I just love the whole album. I’m not a Taylor Swift fan, or wasn’t, but this album made me look her as never before. The album is very consistent, personal and rich. Lot of nuances in her voice. Anti-hero, you’re ok your own, kid, bejeweled and the Great War my personal favorites.

Many songs call back melodically to older classics, which seem over-utilised in this album. Slower, more mellow 3am tracks stood out as lyrical masterpieces.
