I appreciate the variety of songs on the album, but I didn't fall in love with as many songs as I hoped. I love "Boy With Luv" so much, and I wish there were more songs on the album like that. I love the boys and their personalities, but strictly based on the album I think there is definitely room for improvement in the future.

Definitely not my fav album by them, it shows again the versatility of the group and meaningful lyrics like in Black Swan and Louder Than Bombs. This is interesting to listen and the production of the album make you think about the explosive K-Pop. It sounds very crazy and emotive, it's not my favorite but its Okay. The songwritters... well You don't need so many songwritters to make a great album, just think in Adele, Taylor Swift and others artist. The production is cool tha's all.

Though I'm very well aware that this album doesn't really have the cohesiveness, I would say that this is one of their most meaningful albums. This album serves as an ode to themselves.

Favorite Tracks: Interlude: Shadow, Black Swan, My Time, UGH!, 00:00 (Zero O'Clock), Moon, Respect

I'll be brief. It seems that I make myself a favor by not knowing the extensive past of this South Korean boy band that it seems it has won the right to be one of the best icons of K-Pop. What around 25 producers achieve with this album was simply recycle and exponentiate a history of Pop that it's actually so popular that it seems a brothel. I'll try to not be very severe, but there's is barely a couple of reasons why to hear this almost hour and a half of invisible, non-transcendental and too cliche to be enjoyed music and it probably doesn't worth it.

Falls flat on melodies and has too many cheesy lyrics. Some songs feel disjointed. It would be a stronger album if a few of the songs in the second half were left on the chopping block.

The album is not bad, in my opinion. The lyrics are really inspiring and not too bad. Most of the songs are good, but forgettable and felt disjointed.
'My Time', 'UGH!', 'We are bulletproof: the Eternal', 'Black Swan (Offcial SIngle Ver.)', 'Louder than bombs' are those songs that falls out as flat and ended up being fillers.
Their voice is heavily processed throughout the whole album

Their voice is heavily processed throughout the whole album and it's bothering me which made the album not enjoyable at first listen.
The rapping in the album can get tiring and repetitive but some songs contains really good rap such as 'Interlude: Shadow', 'Respect', 'Outro: Ego'.
I'm upset honestly that they didn't include the orchestral ver. of 'Black Swan' which are the best song i've ever heard so far. The trap version are just straight-up forgettable.

I was expecting this comeback to be amazing, but this is dissappointing, sorry.

Lot of people want to act like this album is as good as those great album come from last year (like NFR! or MAGDALENE), but no. I think it's not bad, but there still some tracks makes me feel boring and awkward. Album is not very impressive me but it enough to make me want to heard their next project.

I was expecting too much or something. This was really disappointing. I'll admit I listened to this album in 3 broken up pieces, so this may have been a reason for disappointment.

I think the reasons I don't like the album come from two major things. Firstly, the track listing makes this hell for me. I feel the album jumps from one general feeling to another. One song will be intense, while the next one right after that will be more calm (i.e. Black Swan to Filter). Had songs been switched around so that intense songs are paired and gradually calm down to a more gentle feeling, it would have benefitted significantly.

Secondly, I personally think most of the songs on this album are really forgettable. Perhaps the track listing made it much worse. Even a day after listening to the album, I couldn't recall very many of the songs at all, which muddled this shadow feeling of the album that BTS uses so predominantly.

Highlights of the new songs on the album for me include "Ugh!", "ON", "Black Swan", and "Interlude: Shadow". The rest of the songs, especially after a couple weeks after listening to the album, I cannot recall at all. I'm really sorry. I'll try to listen to the album again soon. I wish I could adore this album as much as most people do. Perhaps a second impression will turn it around! I hope so!

As a whole, the strong but not particularly unruly “7” is less sure-footed than “Love Yourself: Tear,” the group’s last full-length, from 2018, and the first K-pop album to debut atop the Billboard album chart.

Taut and primal, “MOTS: 7” is a kind of self-referential homage. ... Each get solo turns to shine here, their collective work is what stands out.

Persona lacked the natural fluidity and chicness of their best music. Those problems aren’t exactly mitigated here, since most of those songs appear on this album too, but within this new context, they feel like a flashback before the saga continues. Many of the new songs are better about balancing Easter eggs for day-ones with new entry points for more casual listeners.
