    Amazing album! People who are not from the ARMY should give a chance and listen too. The boys did a perfect work, with perfect vocals, dance, raps and lyrics. So proud of them!

    I've been a BTS fan since 2016, a K-Pop fan since 2014, and perhaps have known K-pop for longer than that. I've listened to really good albums and very subpar ones, but I don't think any K-pop album has given me as much joy as Map of the Soul: 7 has. I'm usually never compelled to write reviews for most things in my life, but this album is really something else.

    Just when I thought BTS    I've been a BTS fan since 2016, a K-Pop fan since 2014, and perhaps have known K-pop for longer than that. I've listened to really good albums and very subpar ones, but I don't think any K-pop album has given me as much joy as Map of the Soul: 7 has. I'm usually never compelled to write reviews for most things in my life, but this album is really something else.

    Just when I thought BTS couldn't step it up any further, once again, they've shown a new sound to us and showing that they are always experimenting. It's honestly such a mature sound, it makes everything else they've done in the past not necessarily bad, but a little lacking in what MOTS: 7 delivered to us.

    They have travelled through so many genres in this album alone, from the Latin beats of "Filter" to the hard-hitting rap of "UGH!" and the R&B vibes of "My Time". I can't even list all the genres because each one has its own flavor, and even when I have a "least favorite" song, it's never been something I've actually disliked. I also love how they collaborated with people across the globe, even going to younger artists in the UCLA music departments, and showed that music can reach anyone.

    I also think this is the most personal album BTS has written. RM was not kidding when he said that this was pretty much their career diary in an album, and even before I read the lyric translations, I could almost feel what they were feeling: all the pain and anguish of fame as seen in "Interlude: Shadow" but the joy of being with their fans and looking up to the future as seen in "WAB: The Eternal" and "Outro: Ego".; Jungkook's conflict with growing up too fast in "My Time" and V & Jimin's beautiful friendship as seen in "Friends"; even the older releases in the album like "Intro: Persona" played a nice interlude into the newer releases and a nice hats off to their debut era selves. They also make sure to talk to us as well as listeners, like in "Moon" when Jin was singing directly about ARMY and "00:00" was a nice comfort song that tells us it's never too late to start over.

    Listening to this album felt like getting a hug regardless of what was playing because it felt like we were getting to know them, but they were also trying to help us as well.

    I think I almost teared up the first time I listened to this album: it is by far the best K-Pop album I've ever had the pleasure of listening to, and I'm pretty sure I will never shut up about this album because it is living beyond all the hype it was given.    … Expand

    This album is amazing, it's has so many different genders, and that's amazing cause you can totally choose what goes well with your style, besides this album has so much emotion, you can really feel them through the songs. I truly loved it.

    This album is I think BTS's best so far. It excellently genre-mixes and has introspective tracks as well as uplifting ones. There's really something for everyone on this album, and it's all of incredibly great quality. I'm blown away by this and their Kinetic Manifesto film/music video for ON as well as the amazing vocals and rap skills they serve throughout the album. Hats off, gentlemen.

They give thanks to their ARMYs by staying by their side even though there were many difficulties. They end the album with reassurance that they embraced and got through the hardships together and these experiences is what made them stronger and grow as artists.     I love this album, especially ON, Black Swan, We are bulletproof: Eternal and Louder than bombs. Every song is a whole new and fresh vibe that people should really give them a try.     The album is honestly the best album I have ever listened to. It has such sweet emotional tracks about the boys themselves such as Friends, Inner Child and We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal and such boppy songs such as Outro: EGO. it shares a deep message with the fans that ,in my opinion, no other musician has done BTS are truly the boyband of the century

    I am not a BTS fan but my sister is and she sent me the link on the new album and I was beyond shook. It's a masterpiece. The diversity, the talent, the vocals, and most importantly the meanings behind those lyrics!! I use to think bts was overrated but now I really think they're underrated. Seriously, give these dudes a chance, you'll see why they're loved and cherished by their fans.

    Esse álbum é simplesmente incrível, cada faixa com um significado único e especial. Não consigo nem escolher qual é minha faixa favorita porque todas são perfeitas e transmitem um misto de sentimentos à quem ouve, realmente BTS nunca decepciona.

    It's amazing how these guys can pull off anything and better each time. They deserve more recognition with the works that they've put out. The vocal range, the story and meaning behind these songs, the choreography, it's undeniable even if you aren't a fan that BTS deserve so much more than this. I hope they keep producing bomb music as always. Sending in my well wishes.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The album is not only a compilation of new songs but also some songs of their last release Map of the Soul Persona. These tracks together with the new 15 ones are the perfect combination, not only for story line/message purposes but also to showcase their ability to handle different music genres perfectly. Each solo track is characteristic of each member when it comes to their stories, nonetheless it’s also a change up since the genres and moods of each solo are not the “usual” or what you would normally expect for each member and their solos. When it comes to subunits you can feel the different colors and chemistry of these members singing their stories as pairs, trios or quartets. Ugh is compose by the rappers and they become the group’s front battle line when it comes to hate. The track “Respect” is the follow up of “Ugh” and is two of the three rappers (RM and Suga) That take a moment to point fingers at those who talk behind their backs and pretend to respect them as musicians just because their group is now a successful one. The two rappers repeat how saying that you respect someone has become a too easy of an action that sometimes it has lost its meaning. The singers of the group take songs like “zero o’clock” to comfort fans and talk about those hard moments in life where you are lost and don’t even know why you feel down. It’s the perfect track to talk to fans about their own down moments while trying to relate to the fans feelings. “My time” and “inner child” are introspective songs about a past-present and the two singers feelings about it. “Filter” is a harmonious masterpiece that talks about the different sides Jimin sees of him, sides he thinks others see or want from him and even the sides he desires to show and give to people, specially his fans. All the rappers solos are the perfect ways to start, reach climate and finish the album. The track “friends” showcases perfectly a friendship so strong and deep that you might feel jealous of said friendship.
    Moon by the member Jin is just what you would desire of a melody, vocals and comforting lyrics. This solo is one of those that caught fans off guard since Jin is known for his beautiful, soul touching ballads and even if it’s still a calm song, it’s a more upbeat and less dramatic track than what he would normally deliver. Besides that change that shows his growth and willingness to keep on trying new things in music, Jin delivers a vocally amazing performance full of feeling and sincerity. About “louder than bombs”? One word: bop! “We are bulletproof: the eternal” it’s the contrary of what fans expected yet it’s as amazing and full filling of what a great song is suppose to be. Generally these album of full of genres and stories that connect with each other so perfectly even if they are musically so different. An amazing album that reflects who the group is, who they aspire to be and what they consider they are right now, not only in their own eyes but in the eyes of strangers, fans and even haters.    … Expand

    This album is my favorite of the year. It explores many different genres while still managing to keep a cohesive theme. The lyrics are deep and thought provoking while the vocals and music are so easy to listen to. Whether you want to just enjoy the sound or dive deep into Jungian psychology this is the perfect album.

    There is a lot of component on this album. It is not only focusing on one thing. True artist explore and willing to challenge themselves and that is what exactly BTS is doing. They are brave and unapologetic.

    It's so wonderful this album. I want say there are some english verses. Lyrics are very profound and inspiring. And if you are into urban music this album is it.

    the album is so fresh! there is not one skip, all songs are total bops. I love it! mots7 is phenomenal. the album convinces you that stanning bts is the best decision anyone could ever make.

    Great album with such a diverse collection of songs. The album’s structure was well built that it feels like you get lost in the story as each song plays along. Once again, BTS proves why they are the best and ahead of the music industry by aeons.

    Persona lacked the natural fluidity and chicness of their best music. Those problems aren’t exactly mitigated here, since most of those songs appear on this album too, but within this new context, they feel like a flashback before the saga continues. Many of the new songs are better about balancing Easter eggs for day-ones with new entry points for more casual listeners.
