Tired, cringe and pointlessly overblown. Madame X is a beyond terrible pop latin record that in repect to Madonna's legacy, should've been shelved.

Madame X is the record Madonna needed to make. Although she did use Auto-tune that little too much, but, i Like it and it just adds to the album. Songs like God Control and Extreme Occident prove that Madonna can make powerful political statements that should be quotable in today's world. Well Done!

Best Songs: Batuka, I Don't Search I Find, God Control, Extreme Occident, I Rise,

Doing something different doesn't always mean it's something that looks good. Madame X is like that for me. It has some glorious moments that refer to a Madonna more Madonna like God Control, I Don't Search I Find, Crave. But moments like Medellín, **** i'm loca, make it tasty, even Batuka in which madonna takes away all the originality of the track to robotize her melody and her voiceDoing something different doesn't always mean it's something that looks good. A different work, but not very interesting to hear again.

It's easily her best album since Hard Candy. Although the lead single wasn’t good enough, most of the album brings some great compositions and catchy songs, like Madonna always did. So glad to see that she is back after two forgettable albums.

Sorry but this album is just awful. I appreciate Madonna is exploring her new sound by trying adding some flavors on each track. Not bad for her 14th studio album but this ain't it.

The most experimental and adventurous album and the best of album of a decade. Madonna once again proves why she is the greatest solo artist of all time.

"Madame X" is so much better than her latest efforts. Madonna's latest album is bizarre and interesting. Some choices may seem odd but in the end, everything feels coherent with the theme and her alter-ego's background story. The tour was amazing too and is complementary to this work of art, check it out!

Amazing cohesive album, perhaps wrong lead single. But overall all songs are great. Highlights: God Control, Crazy, Batuka. This album deserves a chance to listen without prejudice. Saddly Madonna is banned from radio play and the album flopped. But listening to it in the Madame X tour was a delight!

"Medellin" is an okay track, with really odd, but quite cool production choices. Chorus could've been longer, because it feels a little bit short. "Dark Ballet" starts really epic, with powerful statements matched by right production. But the second half of the song presents Tchaikovsky's piano ballad with Madonna's distorted vocals - you can get used to it after some time, but it would be"Medellin" is an okay track, with really odd, but quite cool production choices. But the second half of the song presents Tchaikovsky's piano ballad with Madonna's distorted vocals - you can get used to it after some time, but it would be really nice to hear the song with that experimental part. Another track is even more experimental with many sections. "God Control" starts with Madonna mummbling, and it continues with church choir transforming into hi-NRG dance track. Maybe with too much auto-tune, but you can really groove to this! And Madonna's delivery is really cool and fitting. "Future" didn't clicked to me at the begining, but now it's one of the album tracks I enjoy the most. Production here is really great.
"Batuka" didn't click with me for the first listen too, but I started grooving to it with time. However I can say that this song is very flawed, not only it feels inconsistent, but Madonna's vocals are so so bad here. She really should stop using/reduce usage of auto-tune. "Killers Who Are Partying" is a fine composition, usage of Portugese is really nice.
"Crave" got me immedietly. A trap-pop ballad with really cool vocals slayed by both Madonna and Swae Lee. The lyrics are lovely too. "Crazy" and "Come Alive" are a little bit slower compared to the rest of the album, but faster than "Crave". However both of them contain the kick, and they're nice to listen to. "Crazy" has some Spanish lyrics which always fit Madonna, while "Come Alive" ends nicely with a choir. "Extreme Occident" is really fascinating track which is kinda splitted into two parts. I love how the bridge kicks in!
Another track that I didn't vibe to at first listen - "Faz Gostoso" - is a nice dance song. However it has one major flaw - Madonna sounds here so ugly...and that kinda festival-y bridge doesn't connect with the rest of the song much and it's kinda out-of-place -- I'm glad it's that short. **** I'm Loca" it's a passable effort. It'd be cool if it's spoken outro didn't exist, it's kinda embarassing. "I Don't Search I Find" is the closest thing on this album to be called an "album filler" with it's disposable nature. However this disco tune is really nice to vibe too. "Looking for Mercy" is really nice retrospective track with lush production. Album closer, "I Rise", is an anthem, production and vocals are here on point, with explosive outro, that's what we need!
It's really nice offering. Madonna simply serves a role of this kind of experimental artist that doesn't need to have a hits right now, even though "Crave" or "I Rise" could've been easily big with proper promotion and hype. They are also my most favorite tracks of the album, with "Future" and "Extreme Occident". Definitely this record is not for everyone, due to it's artsy, experimental nature - but if you're into that stuff you might really enjoy it.

I love Madonna. But this is not an album. This is pure garbage. If Madonna wanted to make her fans hate her new music, this was the way to do it. Don't listen to it. You will be majorly disappointed.

Disregarding the main single with Maluma (which I find crappy) the rest of the album is exceptional... Madonna delivers one of the most underrated albums of the year... She did show why she is the queen of reinvention... the album is a must listen

A weird, raw, wild, viceral & overproduced album. A classic. Madonna presents Madame X as an extention of her different personas, each one reflected on each song. We can hear Madonna, the human, exposing her rarest thoughts and her weird vision of justice from her rich position.

Madonna remains the great entrepreneur, playing tough, still making her own (right?) business moves and kudos to her for all that - but ever since "Music", her records are mostly a let down; adding to it the unbearable presence of auto-tune, it is just beyond comprehension how a human ear can ever cope listening to anyone filtering through one such utterly dreadful effect.

The video teaser for "Madame X" was promising, but the moment she presented it with "Medellin" any expectations for this album to be something else were gone instantly. File under turbo-folk. Sadly so.

Masterpiece! Strong lyrics, incredible visuals, experimental and deliciously artistic sound. Extreme Occident, Looking for Mercy, God Control, Batuka e Killers Who Are Partying are the best tracks, but all the others also have their quality and space. The Queen of pop reinvented herself once more and entered her most experimental work to date.

Arte experimental. Madonna siempre encontrando su mejor lado, reinventándose como siempre. Merece más aprecio por eso. Sus canciones son buenas, algunas más buenas que otras pero eso no quita el esfuerzo y el talento que tiene al componer y cantarlas con emoción.

Overall, Madonna’s fourteenth album Madame X feels as if Mirwais had mostly completed a decent run-of-the-mill modern pop record, albeit with a cool hotch-potch global feel; hip nods in place to fado, dub and other micro-genres dunked amongst the trap and retro disco. But then just before sign-off, Herself went through the top-lines with a sharpie. ... None of these carefully curated flourishes feel as if they truly live inside the ‘whole’ of this music. Instead it all feels plonked on top of a template.

Madonna has created this music for an audience of one: Herself. Often it works. Sometimes it doesn’t.
