Another masterpiece! I thought nothing could top Ultraviolence but I think Lust For Life is a contender for album of the year and should be recognized by the establishment!

Lust for Life is a masterpiece of an album. Every song is at least pretty good; most songs are near perfect. I don't buy albums very often, but i bought this, and I'm glad i did.

Lana outdones herself with every album. The album is a delight to listen to. It fills you with a serene feeling that makes you feel sad when it is over. Highlights include: Love, Change, Cherry, Get Free and Heroin

Álbum maduro, poético e consistente. Lana aborda questões sexuais (In My Feelings) até problemas políticos, como em Change. Lust for Life é sem dúvidas o melhor trabalho da cantora desde Ultraviolence.

Beautiful. Powerful. intense. Probably Lana's Best Album.
    "I waited for you
In the spot you said to wait
In the city, on a park bench
In the middle of the pouring rain
    ‘Cause I adored you
I just wanted things to be the same
You said to meet me up there tomorrow
    But tomorrow never came
    Tomorrow never came".

I think this album can be divided into two parts. The first one is summery. "Love" captures what her fans have always been looking for, a great opening. Personally, I don't really like the title track with The Weeknd as much as their brilliant collaborations before like "Prisoner" and "Stargirl".

The following tracks are so amazing, love the sound of orchestra at the beginning of "13 Beaches", the explicit words she added in the background of "Cherry" and her whistle at the nearly end of "White Mustang".

Especially, I love her hip-hop influenced sound in "Summer Bummer" & "Groupie Love" with her rapper friends. "In My Feeling", which is allegedly about G-Eazy, is such a bop, so sexy.

"Coachella - Woodstock In My Mind" is like a hyphen between herself and real-life issues.

The second part with a little bit political begins by the feministic anthem "God Bless America - And All the Woman In It". It's my favorite track on this album so far. Her questions from "When the World Was At War We Kept Dancing", I think only time could answer them. The next two tracks are also duets, both Stevie Nicks and Sean Lennon did awesome jobs.

Three final songs with short titles but long duration. All of them show how great Lana's writing ability is. Their melodies are like heaven, from "Heroin", "Change" to "Get Free". She is absolutely "out of the black" of reality. And "into the blue" of freedom.

The desire for life is burning and catching on every song, every beat, a little intimate but it's really something wonderful what she did here and special.

Such an incredrible record, as she says. I love that there is the sad music that Lana Del Rey Fans are used to but there is also happy songs which reminds me of her unreleased songs. And I also like all the aesthetics behind this album, the artwork and the music videos.

Expand

Lana goes political, but on a way that shows us that an artist can be everything and that's what is really worth: showing to the world what you think in the most beautiful verses and melodies. Perfect production, melancholic but glamorous, as always. Really personal but powerful and meaningful. In one phrase: everything a true music fan would've ever loved.

Not to be biased but I really love this album! I really thought it would sound like Born to Die but not at all, it's like a mixing of all her previous album and she did a really good job at it! Favorite songs are the collaboration with Stevie Nicks, Cherry, In My Feelings and God Bless America.. .

The optimism of Lust For Life is a pleasant surprise, though the album is still painted in the same shades as Del Rey’s previous releases. At times it’s some of her best material, but it seems like a record best experienced in pieces than as a proper whole.

While Del Rey’s voice remains firmly at the forefront, the spare arrangements encourage listeners to fill in their own emotional blanks for once.

Throughout this accomplished, assured new record, Lana manages to repeatedly freeze time and capture those fleeting cinematic moments that make us who we are, while reminding us of who we could be.
