    Too much expectation for an album which is just OK. The first two led singles were too catchy and failed to reach good chart position. When it finally came out I realized that actually there are no big hits in this work (even if there are 18 tracks in it) that you can really feel the absence of Max Martin in this one.

    taylor has proven yet again that she has no artistic growth whatsoever. she is 29 and this album sounds like it should be kidzbop songs. lyrics like “spelling is fun” proves she is nothing more than a mediocre songwriter and with her lack of vocal abilities this album is not enjoyable.

    Taylor never disappoints. Amazing songwriter. The way she emotes every word is amazing. The production is superb and her vocals keep getting better and better. A cohesive album that feels balanced and perfect really.

She built this album all about love and equality and it has this sexual undertones(really well placed by the way). But as the same time it is political and a critic to the U.S government, and is feminist and we deal with the haters and we have a little bit of the Kaye situation and she talks about her mom's cancer (One of the best ones )(really missed Yee haw Taylor) and embraces her childish side.

    The only reason why i didn't give it a 10 is because some tracks i used to love aged poorly for me, like "i forgot that you existed", "the man" and "miss americana & the heartbreak prince" I STILL LIKE THEM THOUGH i just have to fight the urge to skip them when they start playing, but i can vibe to them if i force myself to go through the first seconds.

    It's one of her most exciting albums. The sound, compositions the fluidity it brings in each box makes it a great show! Being honest in that came the footprint to break over your heart and participation in totally all the details makes it get nice and like a river running.     Great album. This Taylor album has a lot of mixed emotions. The man is one of the songs as it explains how our society is. The lyrics are awesome and some songs have great instrumental. However, I don't like the pop on some songs and lyrics, "ME!" and "you need to calm down" basically have a not-so special meaning and the beat is too mainstream. Album is a roller coaster of emotions.

    It is a good album that reflects the qualities of Taylor Swift as a writer. The problem with ‘Lover’ is that it is too long, so the sequence in it is lost. It’s elegant but without reaching the sublime, it is certainly not her best attempt so far.

    Lover could be seen as an album with a mixture of heartfelt songs with a few songs shoved in for the sole purpose of comprising an album, and although I'm a massive Taylor Swift fan this is what I first thought, however, I urge you to listen again. Lover is an album that radiates positivity, which is why it has so many upbeat and pop-like beats, which could be seen as generic on the firstLover could be seen as an album with a mixture of heartfelt songs with a few songs shoved in for the sole purpose of comprising an album, and although I'm a massive Taylor Swift fan this is what I first thought, however, I urge you to listen again. Lover is an album that radiates positivity, which is why it has so many upbeat and pop-like beats, which could be seen as generic on the first listen, however, the truth is on the contrary. Taylor should be applauded for her incredible and wizard-like abilities of wordplay and storytelling, each song tells you something meaningful, whether it's gay rights, or empowering women or simply declaring her love in the most poetic way possible, we must not forget that Taylor is a storyteller of the highest ability. When I first listened to the album I thought that it was to "poppy", but the more I listened the more I realized that Lover is her coming out of her cage handcrafted by the men of the music industry (or in other words just called the music industry) and declaring what she has believed for years and most of it is portrayed positively, hence the positive music. Despite this, she isn't afraid to go deep when she talks about her mother's battle with cancer, which is one of the most beautiful tracks on the album, which I think anyone who has been through something like that can relate to word for word. The man, an ode to any woman out there showing that although you may be questioned for how clever you are or how you got to a place of power that if you were a man you would be told, "they'd say id hustled, put in the work, thy wouldn't shake their heads and question how much of this I deserve." The whole song makes you slowly realize just how differently men are treated (if you haven't already realized) and in a way, the song decodes every harmful message that has ever been directed towards you as a woman and translates them into what would have been told to you if you were a man. Lover the title track, a masterpiece, however a song I wasn't a big fan of to start off with. This is a song, like many of Taylors, where you have to listen multiple times to realize the wordsmanship behind it, I believe with many of Taylor's songs, the music is just a vehicle for the most beautiful poem you have ever heard. To refine what I have said, Taylor Swift is saying something important you just have to listen and not judge her off of what the men in the industry have crafted her to be. "ME!", "IFTYE" and "INTHAF" are not a good songs at all in this album, so I give this a 8. and it should have been removed and replaced with a more beautiful track. Taylor Swift is easily one of the best songwriters of her generation, and that is exemplified in this album, especially in songs like The Man, Cornelia Street, and Cruel Summer.
