Just sounds the same as her stuff from the pst five years ... has a good voice so I’m giving her a one but otherwise ... tasteless and cheesy beats and lyrics that we have heard before

Taylor Swift has shown some potential before....there’s some projects by her that I really find solid, inventive, and well crafted. 1989 was the last album by her that I could tolerate. I really admired her throwback to the old pop sound. Reputation was a huge misstep that just seemed like an album that was playing catch up to some other artists. Now Lover comes in, and while not all songsTaylor Swift has shown some potential before....there’s some projects by her that I really find solid, inventive, and well crafted. 1989 was the last album by her that I could tolerate. This album is really wonderful from my point of view. The beat, the rhythm, sounds and so on is really amazing. Also I could say that this time every song in the album contains a good story, and speak out her personal political opinion as well.

I'm so deeply in love with this album. It's possibly Taylor Swift's best work yet. The lyrics showcase her growth as a songwriter, and I'm quite sure 'Lover' will be a popular wedding song for decades to come. Listening to Lover has got me thinking about and feeling love in all sorts of ways - whether it's romantic, platonic, or familial. It's a whole masterpiece!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This album is a chronicle of love throughout the ages of a person (schoolgrounds to adulthood), from friendship to family and lover. But it's not JUST that. If you've been waiting for Taylor Swift to go political in song? Miss Americana is the one for you. Through a metaphor of a friendship or relationship, she paints her experience as an American hearing the news and being in the center of it, which, as a foreigner, I enjoy. Spoiler alert: 2016 is the apocalypse.
If you enjoyed a parody of her portrayal in the likes of Blank Space? London Boy is for you.
If you would enjoy a love song about Karlie Kloss, that describes the anxiety and fragility of an established, happy relationship that you're afraid to lose? Cornelia Street is for you.
If you can relate to feeling helpless as a relative struggles with their health? Soon You'll Get Better is for you.
The music of this album is airy and dreamlike, and it fits well with the (albeit extremely coton candy colored) aesthetics chosen for the album. It's a music to think to, to hike to, to lie in the grass to. While Reputation was wrathful and angry, Lover is letting go and exposing what is INSIDE the armor, protected by all the spikes of Reputation. It feels, in terms of evolution, the continuation of 1989, after the shield of Reputation has been put securely in place.

Probably Taylor's best album to date, is inventive and experiments with different genres of music. We have a little jazz going on on the extremely sexual False God and a Avril Lavigne 06' pop-punk with Paper Rings and Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince.

Taylor isn't afraid of telling the world how she feels about Joe Alwyn and to show every process of their relationship. The cruel start, the errors and the rights, the moments of anxiety and the moments of clarity. As true love, it's not always great but it's Golden.
A love letter for love is indeed the best description someone could put to this album.

It’s an album that screams out for an editor, but when it hits the right notes, it demonstrates just why Taylor Swift is one of the biggest pop stars in the world.

Ultimately, Lover is overstuffed and meandering, but serves as a positive reprieve from her past struggles in the public eye, and represents an artist at the peak of her creativity, power, and—one hopes—continued romantic bliss.

Lover is a fabulous record, full of super-fun standout pop hits that make your heart burst. It oozes with Swift’s much more palatable upbeat sass. She’s in love and also thinking about different kinds of love.
