    Swift's new magnum opus. Contains a few of her best lyrics. Stepped out and said things she was previously very reluctant about. An artistic growth. Sonically, it contains inspirations from 60's to the 00's, but mostly 80's (which she sounds best sonically).

    Lover is an album worthy of everyone listening to.Unlike taylor's previous albums, although the album has reduced continuity considerations, each song adds an emotionally tangible transition.
    When I listened to this album, I prefer a looping play instead of a full list.It can be said that in all kinds of situations, you can find the song that best suits your mood on this album.

    Absolute masterpiece, every song tells it's own little story which I think it's awesome. Shout out to the cinematic masterpiece that Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince is.

She really shows her "Lover" side and the album sticks to it's theme very well which a lot of the times artists fail to do. Many of the tracks have a vintage feeling to it which is definitely something new from Taylor. Once again she has released a new album with brand new content which she has not showcased on the previous albums. Like Taylor had said before the release of this album, it's not all gonna be happy love songs and that you can find something romantic in a lot of things like heartbreak, lonliness etc. Taylor managed to fulfill her promise. Afterglow is a song that talks about Taylor owning up to her mistakes in a relationship but how she doesn't want to lose her partner. Archer is a very sad song about anxiety and lonliness, but still it manages to keep the "Lover" theme. Just everything about the songs give that "love" energy.
    The lyrics are just perfect. We have various lyrics that go very deep whether they're about feelings or politics. For example "Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince" which is a one huge metaphore for Americas current political state. Taylor's vocals also are stronger than ever. We can see her showcasing her vocal abilities in tracks like "Afterglow" and "Cruel Summer". Taylor also uses a lot of her falsetto on this album which really fits the songs very well.
    This album deserves all the love it gets because of it's theme, vocals, complexity and lyrics. It's Taylors best album to this date for it's maturity and the ability to paint a picture for the listener.    … Expand

    When Taylor released ME! And YNTCD (they’re not bad but it was a little weird to release them as singles) I was afraid that the album wouldn’t be as good as the previous ones and I’m glad was wrong. The album turned out to be amazing. My favorite songs are Lover, The Man, Paper Rings, Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince, London Boy and Soon you’ll get better, though others are reallyWhen Taylor released ME! Major topics are explored with this album, such as sexism (The Man), politics (Miss Americana), supporting the LGBT community (You Need To Calm Down) and trying to cope with a family member battling cancer (Soon You’ll Get Better). Swift also goes through the different types of love and all its different forms: true love (Lover),Lover is a breathe of fresh air in today’s pop music. Major topics are explored with this album, such as sexism (The Man), politics (Miss Americana), supporting the LGBT community (You Need To Calm Down) and trying to cope with a family member battling cancer (Soon You’ll Get Better). Swift also goes through the different types of love and all its different forms: true love (Lover), struggling with self-love (The Archer), the freedom and joy of moving on from a toxic past love (I Forgot That You Existed). The major highlights that come from Lover, are the deep cuts. Afterglow is a top favorite. Swift’s vocals are powerful and possibly some of her best. The chorus hits and she lets out a belt confessing her fault and wanting to work things out. The lyrics are crafted well, while the beat is impactful while the electric guitar mixes so well with it all. Swift had spoken in the past about refraining from using horns in her music. In False God, she has shown herself why she should never be afraid. The light saxophone is effective and dreamy in this song. A song about getting past hardships and working things out is whimsical and is written so beautifully. Cruel Summer is on the rise and is a fan favorite for a reason. A pop force that will make any listener repeat it for a second time in a row (or even more). The aggression and also vulnerability of the track is powerful. Songs like Cornelia Street and Death By a Thousand Cuts are also highlights that any listener must experience when going through this album. Really sit there and indulge in the lyrics, vocals and instrumentals throughout those tracks. For once, it seems Swift has created an album that will make you refuse to skip a single track.     Taylor's best album yet. I love every second of it. My favorites are Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince, Afterglow, and Cruel Summer but honestly I love them all.

    Lover is a fabulous record, full of super-fun standout pop hits that make your heart burst. It oozes with Swift’s much more palatable upbeat sass. She’s in love and also thinking about different kinds of love.
