    A departure from the dark sounds of Reputation. Lover at times does not always hit the mark with songs I skip on repeat listens of the album. But it charts new sounds and new territory, her happiness with being in love and with her life shines through every song.

    This is one of Taylor Swift’s best albums and a glorious comeback after her slightly disappointing previous album. This album seems to be one of the first times she talks about being in love rather than just recently being out of love.

    I've been listening to Lover non stop for the past week and I think I'm in a place where I can say it's her best album yet (a spot I've continuously gave to Speak Now). Lover comes in at a stark contrast to the dark vengeful sounds of Reputation, made during a time in her life where she felt her lowest. A lot of people felt the persona she adopted during that era wasn't herself. With LoverI've been listening to Lover non stop for the past week and I think I'm in a place where I can say it's her best album yet (a spot I've continuously gave to Speak Now). Lover comes in at a stark contrast to the dark vengeful sounds of Reputation, made during a time in her life where she felt her lowest. A lot of people felt the persona she adopted during that era wasn't herself. With Lover it's more of a return to face; going back to the bright masterful songwriter we fell in love with. The album features her best songwriting since Red, as well as a nostalgic return to country on the title track that'll put you in the mind of her earlier work. All in all it's a happy bubbly album that'll remind you that her penmanship is unmatched; Miss Americana is a political song that uses High School as a metaphor, Cornelia Street explains the devastating after effects of heartbreak, and You Need To Calm Down is a fun song that embraces the LGBT.     It's not a step forward, but neither a step back. This is an amazing album full of poppy catchy hooks and memorable lyrics. I'd say that it's Taylor returning to form and at the same time, evolving into something bigger and mature. Lover isn't as bold as reputation, but leaves a clear statement: she's owning Pop Music since 2012 and in a 2019-music industry dominated by rap artists, she'sIt's not a step forward, but neither a step back.     This album has a lot of great productions and lyrics! It's a pop album (alternative pop?), And I need to thank Taylor for not getting into the rap / hip-hop / trap "wave" and releasing PLUS a mainstream album that looks like so many others in recent years. It's cohesive, pleasant and sometimes nostalgic! Sometimes it reminds me of teenage 2000s movies. Obviously, it contains fillers, butThis album has a lot of great productions and lyrics!     This is one of Taylor best albums ever. She is consistent with her sound and tone in this one. Her vocals are her best ever. The lyrics, that may be not better than Speak Now or Red, are without a question one of the best of her entire career. I can´t wait what she will do next because this is an almost perfect album.

    This is the first album by Taylor Swift that I can say it completely captivated me. The production on this album is mesmerizing, Taylor's vocals keeps getting better while you scroll down trough the album and the LYRICS are going to hit deep parts of your heart. PLEASE, get ready to hear track 12. I wasn't ready and end up crying. TAYLOR SWIFT YOU DID THAT!!

    solid pop album that clearly shows a grownt and maturement from Taylor Swift. it can halve some low moments like ME! or exhausting moments like paper rings, but in general it really conveys what shes telling: true love uplifts.

    In “Lover”, Swift has obliviously explored her lyrics from her love stories that has inspired and moved a lot of young teenagers, to using her influence in her lyrics on reflecting social problems. In the track “The Man”, she has clearly sung out how she was discriminated as a woman, by comparing herself with Leonardo DiCaprio, when it comes to partners, fame, and money.     This album is, indeed, a love letter to love itself — in its unabridged, most raw, most vulnerable, most passionate, most golden form. Arguably Taylor's best album till date. She has done a magnificent job — be it the verses, the bridge, or the vocals, she's surpassed her own standards, and in the most glorious way ever.

    Not a single break up song in sight, but pure love songs. The glow up we all deserved. The album has it all, the lyrics, the production, the cohesiveness. Superb.

Taylor Swift is one of my top 5 favorite musical artists of all time. The cover and cd artwork is beautiful, I love the pastel colors. Taylor Swift's writing is phenomenal especially on the songs Lover, The Archer, and Soon You'll Get Better. Taylor Swift's vocals are terrific on the album just like they always are. The production was great. I love all of the songs on Lover and I decided to rank them from 1-18 os here is my ranking Lover, Soon You'll Get Better, The Archer, Cruel Summer, You Need to Calm Down, ME!, I Forgot That You Existed, Miss Americana + the Heartbreak Prince, Paper Rings, London Boy, The Man, I Think He Knows, Afterglow, Daylight, Cornelia Street, Death by a Thousand Cuts, False God, and It's Nice to Have a Friend. The music video for ME! has outstanding visual effects and great choreography, the music video for You Need to Calm Down is fantastically fun and I loved all of the celebrity cameos, and the music video for Lover is super cute and sweet. I also loved the memo's and the behind the scenes writing and recording of I Forgot That You Existed and Lover. A hands down A+ album.… Expand
