    In Love Sux, Avril’s 7th studio album, the canadian singer makes a throwback to the pop punk genre, reminiscent from her first albums. It is a great record, but some things like the short duration of the songs bothers me a little bit. I really liked “Bite Me” and “Love it When You Hate Me” as singles, they surely are highlights of the album.     É um bom álbum sim, não é melhor que os 3 primeiros e muito menos que seu antecessor, mas Avril vocalmente volta impecável.
    Neste álbum temos a volta do Pop-punk que tornou a Avril tão conhecida e prestigiada, porém as faixas são muito superficiais e extremamente curtas em relação ao que nós nos acostumamos a ver da AL.

    The punk princess is finally back, this album is a really good comeback. I love a lot of songs, my favourite is Déja vu. Also Cannonball is a perfect opening track for this album.

    I'm glad she's back on her roots. The old punkish rock type of genre. I'm just kinda bit off with few tracks especially the initial track. I think it didn't set the mood of the album and that is one of my least favorite track. Avalanche is the best track of the album.

    There’s a reason she’s the princess of pop punk and this record is proof that she still remains so. Very nostalgic vibe and Avril sticks to her roots and excels as usual.

    No, it's not deep or profound, and at times it's hard to believe that this is all coming from the mind of a 37-year-old woman. But to nostalgic fans such as myself, this is easily her best album since The Best Damn Thing and I absolutely LOVE IT. Expect teenage fun and you will not be disappointed. Cannot wait for the next one!

    This is Avril’s best album since The best damn thing in 2007. I’m so happy to see her coming back to the genre that made she a star. The whole album is amazing, no skips, a funny and energetic experience from beginning to end. Love you so much Avril!!

    She joined the right people, lyrics are good, sounds it’s over the top! She did a great album but it’s too short. Glad she’s back even though I don’t think people is ready for this masterpiece.

    Even if Lavigne intended to make something short and silly, it speaks to a larger mainstream conversation of the supposed limits surrounding women’s ability to remain interesting in pop culture. Love might indeed suck, but we know that Avril is capable of so much more.

    The uncharitable take would be that a 37-year-old still writing lyrics in txt spk is quite cringe, but the truth is that Love Sux – three-minute banger after three-minute banger, complete with classic Lavigne “woah-oh-ohs” – is exuberant enough to have you slipping on a pair of Vans and partying like it’s 2002.

    Across the board, Lavigne sounds like she’s having good, real fun for the first time in ages. If the album is following a major pop-punk trend in pop music, it also serves as a reminder that Lavigne helped shape so much of that sound in the first place.
