Easily one of the best albums of 2004. The album not only has 6 hits, including the mega hit Hollaback Girl, but also sky-rocketed Gwen to fame, and it's obvious why. Showing great variety and versatility, from soft tracks like Cool, to songs you could dance to, like What You Waiting For. Great album! Only Gwen could pull this kind of thing off. This not only has pop in it's finest form but also has pints of rock, ska like her work with No Doubt such as "Danger Zone" and "What You Waiting For" and it also has an 80's feel to it with the song "The Real Thing" GREAT ALBUM!

An exceptional jewel of a pop album, each song is a different personality and a complete masterpiece in and of itself. Producers, Dr. Dre, Nelle Hooper, Tony Kanal, and the Neptunes have helped Stefani craft possibly the best album of the 2000s

Usually I am not a fan of this type of music, but I found this cd to have a lot of catchy songs on it, and overall is just a fun cd to listen to. Maybe it isnt the most artistic cd, and its deffinatly not the most sophisticated, but it does provide some fun.

though Gwen sometimes sounds like shes stretching her voice too far the album is a refreshing splash of color in todays black and white music scene she proves she can handle almost any type of music: hip hop. pop, dance, rock, & R&B

You have to take this album for what it was meant to be.... and fun project Gwen wanted to do for herself alone that ended up getting released. With this first solo attempt,Gwen was not trying to make a statement - this album in her own words was just an omage to all the great music she grew up with. Not NO DOUBT,not neccessarily better, but decadent & wonderful in its own right.Adventurous, different from anything else &a breathn of fresh air to the industry....congrats! Brave!

This was a good debut album for Gwen Stefani. She has really broken out of her "No Doubt" years. I hope that Gwen Stefani comes out with a sophomore album soon because this album is pretty popular.

Absolutely flawless as long as you take it at face value- as a fun, dumb dance album. Even the 'low points' ("Long Way to Go," "Luxurious") are good and the high points ("What You Waiting For," "Bubble Pop Electric," "Crash," "Danger Zone") are pure brilliance. The best record of 2004 hands down.

It's a fun pop record, that isn't made to be taken seriously, if she wanted to make a serious record she would have come out with another No Doubt disc. It's catchy, cool and stylish.

  1. LAMB has one mega-hit, one okay song, three stillborns, and seven full-fledged embarrassments.
  2. An ultra sleek and, it has to be said, generally impressive, 80s-inspired party record.
  3. The subject matter on the indistinguishably titled Love, Angel, Music, Baby is painfully mainstream throughout.
