Terrific record. Waw. Explosive, both vintage and avant-garde tastes, marvelous samples, shiny production, embodied lyrics, no featuring, reflective cuts, one bonus track, both touching and raw sequences, mind-blowing beat switches, comfortable length, and the list goes on and on. Nas spits remarkable verses all throughout, just slightly disrupting or messy from time to time. So many moodsTerrific record. Waw. Honesty, I think this and KD2 are nearly perfect. The Albums first 8 tracks are absolute flames, and contain some of Nas's best work. "Thun" has top some of the best verses of the year. "Legit" might have the sample of the year, along with Nas breathing fire. The sleeper song for me on this album is "WTF SMH" where Nas goes in on the industry and culture.

In a review I wrote for "Magic" on Amazon, I said "Nas is Dr. Strange and Hitboy is his Timestone," because together, he's bringing back Nas's penmenship that rivals his "Illmatic" to "I Am" days, which were undoubtable his most legendary.

Nas's lyrical prowess and Hitboy's legendary production is setting the industry standard for what true Hip-Hop from the soul sounds like.

Legit. Sometimes you just need some uninterupted raw hip hop; That butterrry flow floating over these nyc sounds and that’s what King’s Disease III does best. The production is wild and there’s a wide variety between tracks. It’s easy to have half the album in regular rotation. Nas remains relevent. Nas' lyrical performance on this album is top tier, considering his age and the current time. Hit boy production has enabled Nas to blend in through the old school and new school style effortlessly. This album should straight away go to the museum. 10/10

Nas proves he's still got it. This effort is a consistent listen which left me nodding my head, not only to its agreeable modern boom-bap hybrid sound, but also to Nas's confident delivery. What KD3 delivers on with its high-level production by hit-boy and casual lyricism, I feel it misses some of the edge and flavour which Nas's classics deliver on so well. Great Album. Nas is rapping elite here.
Ghetto Reporter sets it off with Dont Shooting wrapping up the message.
The theme of this album is Black Unity, Stop The Violence. There really isnt a message for the Culture more important than that. Its funny a track like Beef is still relevant. In the wake of rapper Takeoff's death a week or so prior to this album's release, that message was

Hit-Boy did an amazing job with the production on this joint man. Like seriously...That Five Heartbeats sample on Legit, that baseline on Recession Proof, that Mary J vocal sample and drill beat send off on Reminisce, that beat switch on WTF SMH, that sax on Get Light, the grittiness of that beat for Beef, those guitars on the transition hook for Dont Shoot. Hit-Boy came to play as always.
Four great albums from these two in two years. Amazing. They're both in Rare Form.
Side note, I see alot of fake bias Em and Jay stan 0 reviews. Those bot reviewers are just trying to lower the Metascore like that culture vulture publication Pitchfork!
Great Album with great music with "the Author on tracks" urging us Black Men to unite and set aside our petty differences. What else needs to be said here.

Superb album to end off the King's Disease trilogy, and arguably the best album of the three. Even thirty years into his career, Nas can still release classics like this, which is something that very few rappers are capable of. This album helps reaffirm Nas' legacy as one of the all-time greats.

The resulting work is at once loose and deeply complex, effortless in its incisiveness yet still dazzling at its peaks. The three bullions on the album’s cover say it best: this duo keep on producing gold.

Nas sounds like he’s regained his confidence as the king once more. He sounds like the king. He’s in that “Ether” mindset once more – not necessarily as vicious, but simply sounding like he’s willing to name names and it feels like he’s genuinely having fun with his writing.
