Gaga has yet again shown another layer to both her musical and artistical expression. The album has a beautiful mix of ballads and pop songs influenced by country or rock themes. This is by far the most emotional and personal album she has ever created.

Yes, a very personal album by Lady Gaga but, 'Joanne' feels a bit bland. For me this is her second worst album after 'ARTPOP'.

There is some good news though. 'Hey Girl' feat Florence Welch and 'Million Reasons' are brilliant tracks that just stand way above the rest. But I have to admit, a Florence only version of Hey Girl would be even more brilliant.

The moment you hear the first song you suddenly say, "Wait is this Lady Gaga?" Though you feel like the songs you're listening to doesn't feel too Gaga, it's still her. More matured than ever and after having a joint album with Tony Bennett, she has learn so much. Being an artist to a musician.

Very solid and beautiful album, with gorgeous melodies and a very nice production. I hope gaga will continue to this path on the next years. I'm a little Joanner.

I'm battling with some kind emotions in this moment of my life and this album is so relatable with people who feel this way, it helps connect and understand each other. I know Gaga will never read my comment but I just want to thank you for being there in a way no one ever has. You've inspired me beyond belief.

'Joanne' is the type of album that you don't see very often. It's authentic, raw, and deeply personal. Her last album 'ARTPOP' was as creative as it can be, but it lacked in many aspects. There's a lot of experimenting with various genres (the glam rock of 'Diamond Heart', edgy rock of 'John Wayne', country-influenced 'Sinners Prayer', dance-infused 'Dancin' in Circles' etc.), and all of these songs work. There may be a few filler songs (I can only think of one so far, but that number may go to 0 as I continue to listen to it), but as a whole - it's in its best form; a complete package.

The album tells a story, as if it was a movie soundtrack, and that's the best compliment an album can get. Lady Gaga, you've done it again - you've changed pop music for the better.

This is her most mature and different work to date and I'm not afraid to say, the best one. I am glad there is an artist like her that makes real music that will stay forever, not one-time hits that are to fade away in 2 months.

This is a fantastic album. All the songs could make you sad, could make you happy, could make you dance...could make you feel. And this is what good music is supposed to do!

Lady Gaga returns with another album. This album has some great beats but overall it feels like a step-down from her previous album, Artpop. The song writing are okay, with the exception of three songs.

The best songs on this album are Hey Girl, Million Reasons and A-yo. Those songs are better than any other songs on her previous project. The album does have some really great songs but

The album does have some really great songs but also some really mediocre songs. Perfect Illusion is probably her worst single, but, it's still isn't a bad song. This album kind of feels like it is unfinished.

Overall, the album is still a good album to listen to. It isn't a top 10 album of the year, but some of the songs on this album such as A-yo is one of the best songs of the year.

Somehow, she just keeps getting better. Bloodpop does a wonderful job of making some of the more retro-sounding songs sounds modern, and Gaga's vocals are more powerful than ever. This album is going to be on repeat for quite awhile.

Flawed though it is, this brave and canny album hits the reset button and buys her a future. [Jan 2017, p.105]

Unfortunately, therein lies the biggest problem with Joanne: for every time that Gaga seemingly breaks free of her shackles and embraces something more “real,” she quickly scuttles back into her comfort zone and hides behind glistening production. This probably isn’t quite the sound of the real Stefani Germanotta, but if you squint hard enough there’s a semblance of a real person in amongst the pop haze.

Joanne is certainly not the all-conquering opus it was intended to be and will prove divisive, but it remains a daring and exciting record, delivered from one of modern pop’s most unique and singular voices.
