Jack in the Box deserves every ounce of the critical acclaim it has received. Hobi weaves a story through each track in a way that few artists do these days. This album is meant to be listened to as a complete work. I highly recommend.

Listen to the album one song after the other as placed and you would know what a perfect album is like. J-Hope has bared his soul in his album, shared his thoughts, vulnerability, fear and wish to keep being passionate for his music. Hiphop lovers are bound to love it, but so are great music lovers

The songs stop and equal sign felt really refreshing, he reflected on our society the modern world and the importance of being respected no matter who you are. We are all equal and deserve to be loved. This is such a powerful message. What if and future are 2 powerful songs where jhope opens up ! I honestly felt 1000 different type of emotions while listening to this album. Arson and more the 2 title tracks are amazing and I'm particularly in love with their beats. Pandora box is the essence of who jhope is. This album is so different from hope world its the darker version of himself. But it's also him but raw. And the metaphor of the box is genius, he was living inside this box and Finally got out and burned it all. He also used the fire to represent the celebrity fame etc like a burning fire consuming him ? Or a fire that will continue to make him shine? .I like the meaning of arson and I think he did well placing it as the last song on the album. And I particularly liked the musicality of music box: reflection. In less words: jhope is an amazing artist, he is a genius and a great mind. The musicality the lyrics, the Rap, everything was on point, it's beyond expectations. He took risks and went out of his comfort zone , he made another someone's favorite song, another someone " safe zone" . He is amazing . He is our hope, our sunshine but beyond thay he is also jung hoseok with a full range of beautiful human emotions that unveiled in this albums. Thank you for sharing your art and thoughts with us.

The whole production is a work of art. Not looping this one is getting really hard for every fan out there. Make sure to listen with headphones to get the best experience. Specially for the transition from Music Box to What If... I can't wait for the world to hear the mastermind that is Jung Hoseok.

J-Hope did a very daring job with this album, showing us a side of himself that was totally unknown to the public, with dark stories and visuals that completely contrast with the look marked by being bright and cheerful, as everyone knew him. It's an intimate and complete album. The songs are short, they taste like "I want more", but the length was a perfect choice to avoid saturation due to the composition style.Jack In The Box is beautiful and wonderful. Expand

It is an exquisite album that shows us the duality of a professional from his own essence, feelings and perceptions, JHope has worked very hard to show us another part of himself with a mix of well integrated sounds, flow and wordplay.

Whether the music on Jack in the Box suits your taste or not, it’s hard to dismiss this album as an artistic statement rather than just chapter 1/7 of BTS proving they can also make money in ways beyond official group releases.

The artist born Jung Ho-seok delivers emotional depth and irresistible energy. Backed by rowdy production, his aggression, raspy delivery, and tongue-twisting bars take center stage, showcasing the rap-focused perspective that he brings to the BTS formula.

There’s an excellent three track run from “What if…,” an energetic song that samples Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya,” into mid-tempo standout “Safety Zone” before a touch of Hope World familiarity returns in the optimistic “Future.”
