    That was the best album I've ever heard of a Korean artist. like you don't even feel he's Korean because his rap and the way he pronounces words is very cool. I love his lyrics and he wrote them by himself!!! He really did a great job. really love you Hobi. you're a genius!!. wait here for your next album and please eat well and protect yourself in military service. My little legend.

It's a very cool album, it talks about the Rapper's, (J-Hope from BTS), struggle and personal thoughts as he went from a mere street dancer to a global sensation, how he was consumed with the need to achieve more and in turn what it did to his inner self. He also went through many existential crisis in order to differentiate between his on screen and off screen personas, he said that he felt like he had been wearing a mask all alone and in the last few songs made peace with himself. It's an awesome work, I encourage everyone to listen to this album and read the lyrics!… Expand

    This album is so inspiring, I got introduced to hip-hop genre through this album, I love the lyrics and all the songs. I never like Korean music before but I am checking out this artist.

This album is best listened to in its entirety in the order j-hope has determined, as this is the only way to fully understand its message. Although the most distinctive and addictive songs are more and arson, which show raw and great hip-hop, for me,This album shows how mature and talented artist j-hope is.     Jack in the Box is nothing close to the K-Pop genre; it was more of a collective of sounds and samples that only j-hope could breathe life into. While listening to JITB, I feel like I was going back to my childhood. It gave me such nostalgia. I had goosebumps. Plus, the artistry and the versatility of this album earned a chunk of my respect to j-hope as a soloist and a musician.

    He is such a wild cardー an aceー to the music industry, because j-hope before a rapper/producer and songwriter is a dancer who was born through dance and the music that plays on the street. Such a breather this album is.

    Additional to that is that the lyrics here are all controversial. Yet still very humble and kind at same time. It is also so raw and so open, it scared me a little because JITB shows me a side of j-hope that is not an idol, but a human in his most vulnerable and innocent form.

The songs individually are also magnificent, the grunge rap in More is excellent, and my favorite is Pandora Box.

    The most creative album ever. From the album cover, the title tracks, music videos, the song itself, the lyricism and the performances, every single part of this album is so creative. The theme "jack in the box" fits so well with the artists but was also unexpected which gave the element of surprise. The songs expressed and confessed feelings and thoughts hidden deep like a jack in theThe most creative album ever. Even though the concept is scary and more intimidating, I find it a little bit more laid back in comparison to J-hope's first mixtape "Hope World". Hope World was bright and colorful and fun in first sight, but reading the lyrics and understanding the song would make you realize that it's actually more scary. Jack in the box is scary, dark but colorful, and showcased his craziness but really it's a confession and expression of the real person inside him. The track "equal sign" touched people's hearts and is fans favorite for a reason.… Expand

    Love the album and the message j-hope wanted to portray through it. So different and refreshing from what the "kpop" label is. Just an amazing experience listening from top to bottom.

    Whether the music on Jack in the Box suits your taste or not, it’s hard to dismiss this album as an artistic statement rather than just chapter 1/7 of BTS proving they can also make money in ways beyond official group releases.

    There’s an excellent three track run from “What if…,” an energetic song that samples Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya,” into mid-tempo standout “Safety Zone” before a touch of Hope World familiarity returns in the optimistic “Future.”
