after I listened to Jack in the Box, I realized that it is not a new side of jhope. it is the depiction of his vulnerabilities that we may have overlooked because we only saw his happy and bright side. This album sounded like a confession.

Jack In The Box unleashes Jhope's darker side as he said on his previous interviews and he perfectly expressed that out on every track of the album especially on more and arson! JITB will really surprise you on the range Jhope has, he really go beyond his bright and sunshine vibe as we always know. Solid 10/10! Expand

One of the best albums that I've heard in a while, all the songs are top notch and it shows how much he worked hard for it. The vocals, rap, lyrics and production of the whole album is mind-blowing. All I can say is its a banger no skip album.

I first heard MORE, the pre-released single from this album by J-hope. I didn't really liked it at first listen maybe because of the genre. When the album dropped, i listened to it from top to bottom. It was a wild experience! I love how this album is arranged. It has it's own story line and concept. Some songs may not be my cup of tea just like MORE but the songs' lyrics are great. I appreciate the lyrics and J-hope's message that he wants to convey. This album is great! I think hiphop fans would enjoy this. My favorite tracks are EQUAL SIGN, FUTURE AND SAFETY ZONE. You should check those songs out.

Jack In The Box is really different from J-hope's first mixtape Hope World. He showed a different side of himself thru this album. I appreciate how he chose to go for this genre and concept even tho it's not something easy and cannot guarantee commercial success. But J-hope is a member of BTS and they are known for taking their music and art seriously. They will do whatever they want and stay true to themselves. They will release the music they want, they're innovative, experimental and not afraid to try new things. I truly admire them. I've seen how they grew as artists and as a person. They're great role models. This album might not be my most favorite album in the world but this is an amazing album full of amazing music. Everyone should check this out. Thank you for the music J-hope!

The songs stop and equal sign felt really refreshing, he reflected on our society the modern world and the importance of being respected no matter who you are. We are all equal and deserve to be loved. This is such a powerful message. What if and future are 2 powerful songs where jhope opens up ! I honestly felt 1000 different type of emotions while listening to this album. Arson and more the 2 title tracks are amazing and I'm particularly in love with their beats. Pandora box is the essence of who jhope is. This album is so different from hope world its the darker version of himself. But it's also him but raw. And the metaphor of the box is genius, he was living inside this box and Finally got out and burned it all. He also used the fire to represent the celebrity fame etc like a burning fire consuming him ? Or a fire that will continue to make him shine? .I like the meaning of arson and I think he did well placing it as the last song on the album. And I particularly liked the musicality of music box: reflection. In less words: jhope is an amazing artist, he is a genius and a great mind. The musicality the lyrics, the Rap, everything was on point, it's beyond expectations. He took risks and went out of his comfort zone , he made another someone's favorite song, another someone " safe zone" . He is amazing . He is our hope, our sunshine but beyond thay he is also jung hoseok with a full range of beautiful human emotions that unveiled in this albums. Thank you for sharing your art and thoughts with us.

This one's concept is a bit different from his first mixtape 'Hope World', but the vibe and meaning of his songs are there. My personal favourites from his new work are Equal Sign, Music Box: Reflection, Safety Zone, Future, and Arson. The Intro has me on goosebumps! The mix of vocals and rap is so good! This album is an absolute masterpiece! I dig the old school hip hop it's giving. The concept overall is so unique & brilliantly done. The songs are perfectly cohesive & the lyrics are very introspective. I can't express enough how amazed I am with J-hope's brain, talents, and capabilities. This one defenitely deserves the universal-acclaims!

This album truly showed his ability to morph and blend different beats, sounds, flows, and cadences that he hasn’t shown before on previous works. Through his 9 going on 10 years of being in an amazingly well-rounded group with various abilities, he solidified his own name ever further with this work!

J-Hope did a very daring job with this album, showing us a side of himself that was totally unknown to the public, with dark stories and visuals that completely contrast with the look marked by being bright and cheerful, as everyone knew him. It's an intimate and complete album. The artist born Jung Ho-seok delivers emotional depth and irresistible energy. Backed by rowdy production, his aggression, raspy delivery, and tongue-twisting bars take center stage, showcasing the rap-focused perspective that he brings to the BTS formula.

There’s an excellent three track run from “What if…,” an energetic song that samples Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya,” into mid-tempo standout “Safety Zone” before a touch of Hope World familiarity returns in the optimistic “Future.”
