    Bono done good his son's band is rockin and shows lots of promise. Great music and vocals and writing. Now I am an Inhaler fan!

    It's really hard to tell if the glass here is half full or half empty. My sense is that singer Eli Hewson (Bono's son) has his eye on the prize but it's going to take a lot more than sounding like his dad and stealing ideas from U2's playbook to take him there. While "Slide Out My Window" is pleasant enough, It Won't Always Be Like This is pretty much retro rock from the 1990s-2010'sIt's really hard to tell if the glass here is half full or half empty. While "Slide Out My Window" is pleasant enough, It Won't Always Be Like This is pretty much retro rock from the 1990s-2010's (Keane, Snow Patrol, Coldplay, etc.). While I enjoyed listening to the album and appreciated the production values, I didn't feel inspired by the music or the band. It's disappointing that "I Want You", "Falling In", and "Ice Cream Sundae" were not included on this debut.… Expand

    The album may be produced to within an inch of its life but what cannot be denied is that Inhaler know how to write catchy songs in the vein of pop rock. There is a lot to like and very little to complain about on "It Won't Always Be Like This". Eli Hewson has been blessed by the genetics Gods and has inherited his father's magnificent vocal chords but he's got the confidence already toThe album may be produced to within an inch of its life but what cannot be denied is that Inhaler know how to write catchy songs in the vein of pop rock. There is a lot to like and very little to complain about on "It Won't Always Be Like This". Eli Hewson has been blessed by the genetics Gods and has inherited his father's magnificent vocal chords but he's got the confidence already to do more with them at his young age than Bono had. He's also got a similar songwriting talent but due to a number of factors and circumstances, lacks the introspection and depth. This may well come in time though. It's not a one man show though and the whole band put on a cracking performance on this. There are a few lyrical facepalm moments but there are an equal amount of astute lines present as well. In the main though, this is about the music rather than the topics covered. Inhaler have all the signs of having the ability to play to large venues in future and while their connections may have given them their start, they certainly taken their chance and delivered on it. The title track is a genuinely great song and opens the album. "My Honest Face" and "Cheer Up Baby" are Kings of Leon/Stereophonics style arena rock. "Slide Out the Window" and "A Night on the Floor" make up side A and are keeping with the hook heavy, radio friendly feel of the other tracks. The second half of the album is a little bit more adventurous and definitely sees the band push their sound to a degree with a few interesting coda's and left turns taken. This album might lack edge and grit but it more than makes up for this in pure tunage, tight playing and an excellent vocal performance. Very enjoyable listen.… Expand

    A great sound, beautiful vocals, catchy songs, young energy, impressive guitars and a strong drummer.

    A good first album from the band. It isn't a stand-out release but it serves as a good introduction to who Inhaler are and who they could become. They seem to have a lot of potential and but it seems that they are trying not to live in the shadow of Bono and U2. I look forward to what lies ahead.

    Only so many bands can enter the indie scene with this solid of a debut album. Some standout songs include the title track, ‘My Honest Face’, and the short but well placed interlude ‘Strange Time To Be Alive’. In just 11 tracks, Inhaler doesn’t just prove that they can get your attention—but that they can keep it, too.

    ‘It Won’t Always Be Like This’ distills an optimism we can just about taste, but can’t quite feel. The sound of a band coming into their own, it finds INHALER taking a deep breath, and making the most important step forwards of their career.
