Pink is one of the most interesting performers in pop music. She's true to form on I'm Not Dead.

This is not one of her best albums. This IS her best album! Way to go P!nk! Every song is listenable and worth multiple plays, her voice is better than ever, and the lyrics are very personal, but great at the same time.

While Stupid Girls is great, and a few of the other tracks really stand out (especially the folk-y numbers that oddly work), too much of the album sounds like Kelly Clarkson.

This album has great lyrics and the best is that most of the songs are very catchy. I really think that this is Pink's best album yet.

P!NK throughs in important current issues such as abortion, gay rights, the war in Iraq and serveral other political issues. I like this song because it is important that young students like me get ingaged in politics and leanr what is goin on throughout the world! PS: Just a cool fact about the song 'Dear Mr. President'...Did you know that P!NK was only allowed to play it on one TV show in the United States (Jimmy Kimmel Live). No other TV stations allowed it becasue of its criticism of our President. P!NK herself says she doesn't want it to becaome a single because commercialism would make the song lose its meaning, however she sings the song in other countries such as Germany and Australia. This album was both amazing and disappointing, There were quite a few misses in the music. The lyrics of most of the songs reflect Pink's opinions on the world, and therefore it was a delighting album when you actually listened closely to the lyrics. The actual music was average in my opinion, and on first look I wasn't really amazed. But after a while of listening it was good. The lyrics for the new single 'Stupid Girls' reflected Pink's views on how TV and other infulences cause girls to make the wrong decisions. This album was worth every cent. You probably should be able to see how instead of folllowing the majority of pop culture, Pink has made her own unique genre. However, there were a few shots far from the bulls-eye, and those have spurred me to rate this an 8. Expand

While it'll never come close to M!ssundastood, I'm Not Dead is a pleasent album. Easily, "Who Knew", is one of the strongest songs on a so-so album. "Dear Mr. President" SHOULD rock your world, and bonus track "I Have Seen The Rain" is worthy of a Grammy. Without these, the album can't REALLY stand.

She's not bad at this Pop-Rock For Teenage Girls caper, I just wish she hadn't abandoned R&B completely. It is what it is, though. I'm Not Dead incorporates a nice balance of risque subjects, anger, childishness, melodrama, finger-pointing, vulnerability and tunes.

One of P!nk's defining albums. It's got her prints all over it. It's fun, it's loud, it's beautiful and it's utterly likeable. She's both alternative, and mainstream - that in itself should be commended.

This album is Pink's best, and if there were a 9.5 option,. I would certainly take it. Great vocals, outstanding lyrics, and brilliant tunes. Pinks signature album, I believe. The best pop album of the decade!

    1. Stupid Girls - This song is mean. That's a fact. I understand the intent, and I respect the attempt to share her opinion on the matter, but I really think she went a little bit far with this song, and she crossed the line with the video. The song itself isn't bad. It's catchy, but the lyrics are too much. 3.5/5

    2. Who Knew - Without doubt, Who Knew is the best song on the album. It's

The song itself isn't bad. It's catchy, but the lyrics are too much. 3.5/5

    2. Who Knew - Without doubt, Who Knew is the best song on the album. It's really beautiful and shows off her softer side. I remember listening to this song on the radio when i was like, 8. Who knew that one day, I'd love it as much as I do. It's just... amazing. It's one of the best songs of all time. 5/5

    3. Long Way to Happy - It's a cool song. I love the chorus. It's more countryish-rock that most of the CD. It has a really great vibe. I love the instermental in it. It's not anything special, though. It really gets overshadowed by the rest of the CD. 3.5/5

    4. Nobody Knows - It's a really strong ballad. Everything about it is great. It has so much power to it. Her vocals are amazing here. 4/5

    5. Dear Mr. President - Lots of controversy over this track. No matter your political party, you really have to think about the lyrics for a minute. They don't really do anything to offend republicans. It could apply to any president. It really describes why I will never be president. 4/5

    6. I'm Not Dead - Her album titles always seem to be some of the weaker songs on the album. I could think of a better album name. That being said, this is a little better than her other title tracks, but still overshadowed by the rest of the CD. It's just not my cup of tea. 3/5

    7. Cuz I Can - This is one of the more generic songs on the CD. I try to stay away from generic music, but Cuz I Can is pretty catchy. It's got a really powerful beat. The lyrics are well written, but the message is messy. 3.5/5

    8. Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely) - The best track since Who Knew. The chorus is super catchy & fun, but it's not generic at all. It's got nice lyrics, too. It's one of those songs that make you want to dance and all that. 4.5/5

    9. U + Ur Hand - One of the standouts. The chorus is one of the best on the album. The verses are pretty weak though. It's a really fun track. It'll def make you dance. 4/5

    10. Runaway - Runaway is one of the best songs on the CD. Everything about it is absoulutely flawless. It has really nice lyrics. The beat is a little slow, but it's not bad. The chorus is to die for. It's not upbeat, but it's really nice and one of the best on the CD. 5/5

    11. The One That Got Away - The album goes acoustic for TOTGA. Not sure about it though. The lyrics are nice, but "He made cappactinos, what kind of man makes cappatinos?" Really? I know she can do better than that. It's really nice, though. 3.5/5

    12. I Got Money Now - I'm not sure if putting this after The One That Got Away was a good idea. It might get a little boring by this point. It's more R&Bish than the rest of the CD. I'm not sure the point of the song. She has money now, so everything is okay? Doesn't sound like the message I'd expect from her. Anyways, it's an okay song. 3/5

    13. Conversations With My 13 Year Old Self - It's such a beautiful song. It's really sad, and I think she did a great job with it. It's really haunting, and one of the best songs on the CD. 5/5

    14. I Have Seen The Rain - The song means a special meaning to her, so I think it does have its place on the CD. Acoustic songs aren't her high point. The lyrics are really nice, though. 3.5/5

    15. Heartbreaker - Leaving this off of the standard edition was a mistake. It's better than most of the songs that did make the standard album. It's got a great rock style to it. 4/5

    16. Centerfold - It's a great song, and I would have rather seen this than any of the acoustic music. It's not catchy, but rock isn't made to be catchy. 4/5

    17. Fingers - What's with that music? If you pitched it, it could be a Britney Spears song. Fortunately, I'm a huge Britney fan, and Britney def does clubby songs better. P!nk should stick to rock-pop, as that's what she does best.

An extraordinary good album for pop standards. P!nk's got punky songs and deeper ones, always sung good with decent lyrics. She mixes the music for the radio with the meaningful stuff (Dear Mr. President, Nobody Knows) with the entertaining radio stuff (U + Ur Hand, Fingers) and hence "I'm Not Dead" is a good album. But it's no 8 or 9 or 10 - it would need a lot more to get such a rating...
