Her best record to date, a great fusion between classic and new Kesha. It's high road, literally. The album gives uplifting moods and shows how Kesha can be the most versatile artist out there in the mainstream business.

Kesha is a genius! "High Road" shows the maturity she had started in "Warrior", but she still plays with the old Ke$ha from "Animal / Cannibal", showing that she doesn't give a damn about haters. This work demonstrates the freedom of a singer and songwriter to present her vision, love and passion. Kesha manages to balance everything in impeccable work.

Kesha took us on rollercoaster with this record, she successfully integrated her old style with her new one. It is evident that this record is so spontaneous and made with love and shows that kesha is in a good place finally.

Perhaps Kesha's most complete work. This album contains a pleasant sound atmosphere that does not stick to a single formula, with intelligent lyrics, nostalgic and a light pop that only an artist like her can do. In summary: High Road is the perfect balance between all Kesha's albums.

This album has no skips. So much variety. The lyricism is immaculate, and the production is outstanding. The message overall is really positive, safe to say this album will make you happy, or at least want to be. She really didn't limit herself with this, it sounds like she had fun making this record and you can feel the same fun-feeling listening to it.

She REALLY brought the party in 2020 much like the start of the last decade. This is what you get if you put rainbow and her older $ sign music in a blender. Fantastic. And the fact that she’s written everything and still sounds like her older music makes it obvious that she was really involved in the artistic process even before.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Kesha is having fun on High Road and making music that she clearly loves. To me, that’s what makes this record so important. Kesha shines in highlights including the previously-released Raising Hell, Tonight, and Kinky, which is credited to both Kesha and Ke$ha, presenting Kesha at her brightest and boldest. Other highlights include BFF and Resentment, which have Wrabel all over them and find Kesha successfully searching for the middle ground between the Rainbow era and her new era. All-in-all, High Road is a record full of both songs to play at your next pregame and songs you simply want to belt out while hugging your best friend. Kesha is back and better than ever, and we should all be thrilled about it. Expand

Here is everything when artists says "this is for the fans". This is totally in her truth. The craziness, sadnesses, bad ass **** and like she said "put a **** in everything". Nothing last forever. So do what you do, and live.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. High Road explores both sides we’ve seen from Kesha thus far, blending her party girl image we saw in the early years of last decade, with the new more vulnerable side of Kesha was saw with 2017’s ‘Rainbow’. Kesha navigates these two personalities well throughout the record, showing she’s not afraid to party on the album's opener, ‘Tonight’, but still singing of her hardships growing up without a father on ‘Father Daughters Dance’. Her collaborators on this album see her crossing genres from the gospel-infused ‘Raising Hell’ featuring Big Freedia, an up and coming bounce artist, to the acoustic ballad ‘Resentment’ featuring rock and country legends Brian Wilson and Sturgill Simpson. The track with the most excitement may be ‘Kinky’, which features Kesha’s alter ego Ke$ha, who dominated the charts in the early 2010s. Finally, the title track ‘High Road’ shows Kesha is not afraid to venture into rap, as she raps about her chart success and pretentiousness. Overall, this new cohesive Kesha will have both fans and radio listeners alike excited to see what is to come. Expand

High Road works because of Kesha’s self-assurance and self-possession.
  2. 90
A celebration of lightness, of fun, and of growing, learning, healing, High Road confidently and comfortably reconciles the different sides of Kesha which previously felt separate.
  3. 80
The genre-hopping leads to the odd stumble here and there, but overall the never boring, often excellent High Road finds Kesha returning to the party on her own terms.
