Although I know about Billie since 2016 when she released "Six Feet Under" and love her EP "dont smile at me", I can't seem to like her albums. I don't know why, it just seems uninspired to me and it is a shame. The track that shares the same name as the album is a banger though.

Escutar esse álbum é uma mistura de sentimentos e emoções e eu realmente gostei da experiência. É uma grande evolução da Billie, me surpreendeu.

AOTY so far for me, easily. In a year in which many of my favorite artists have disappointed, Billie Eilish surprised me by going well above and beyond her already great debut album from 2019. This thing is simply an electropop masterpiece. The first three tracks are very strong. As much as I wish I could talk about all of them, it would take too much time. "Oxytocin" and "Goldwing" are a badass back-to-back combo. "Lost Cause", like many of the songs that come before and after it, is simply superb in the writing department. Finneas absolutely killed it on producing all of these tracks as well, "Overheated" being another highlight. The album's best run, however, doesn't even come until towards the end. "NDA", "Therefore I Am", and the title track are just sooooo flawless. I don't dislike the closing track "Male Fantasy" either, I've seen it get more hate than it deserves. Kudos to both Billie and Finneas for knocking this one out of the park. As soon as I listened to this album for the first time I went straight to Target to pick up the vinyl. Very very close to being a 10/10 for me. Expand

It was a weak album compared to the previous album and bad singles were chosen for the album, but it has good lyrics and production

I was really disappointed with this album, majority of these songs are boring and sound extremely similar. Nothing compared to her first album, don't understand what the hype is about this album at all.

The track Happier Than Ever could give this album a ten alone. Some gems in there but damn that song is her best work to date. Oxytocin is also a highlight.

At first listen, I wasn't impressed. Now, I consider it an album of the year contender. It's just such a vulnerable and raw album, where Billie explores her musicality by writing about things she experiences in her life since her massive debut and somehow it feels like I'm listening to her serenading us with her life story. It's just such a vulnerable and raw album, where Billie explores her musicality by writing about things she experiences in her life since her massive debut and somehow it feels like I'm listening to her serenading us with her life story. The lyrics are also a major departure from her previous album, which she shows way more maturity and poise in her writing than her debut, as seen on tracks like the album closer Male Fantasy and folk-ballad Your Power, where her vulnerability is on display for the world to see. It's also intriguing to see how Billie incorporates certain genres into songs based on their messages, like Happier Than Ever, where she sings over a soft guitar in the first-half in the song only to let out her true anger in the second portion of the song in a rock-heavy outro, or the beautifully harmonic intro in GOLDWING, where it feels like she's introducing this sense of innocence only to warn said "gold winged angel" to not beware of the greed and manipulation by the industry who only want to use her. Overall, the album is a wonderful development from her debut, and it's only a matter of tuning in in a few years to find out how she's going to follow this up. Expand

While the track happier than ever is amazing with a twisting climax and engaging lyrics. The rest of the album feels very repetitive and forgettable. Just awful, wannabe Lorde/Lana Del Rey. Very bland, poor song-writing..... Do appreciate the more forward instrumentals in stead of the bland beats but that is just the only positive thing of this album overall....

A worthy follow up to Billie's first album. As a whole her first album is tighter and more lean. We got hit after hit. With this record we see Billie growing into a young woman. This a lighter and more mature album and although its not as great as her first album its still a damn good one. Aside from a few tracks billie has created another album that defines her generation. Showing so much more than her debut album, i think Billie is taking a great path. This is a sexy, loud and, weirdly sad record. From the screaming all your feelings out title-track to the sexy club bop Oxytocin, it's all about growing up and noticing how to embrace yourself and love yourself better.

So, whilst it may not boast songs that stick with you for months in the way that Eilish’s first does, Happier Than Ever feels like a project that will age more gracefully and, in years to come, it may even come to eclipse that which came before it.
  2. 80
“Your Power” is the slowest-and-lowest moment on “Happier Than Ever,” but as a whole the album is softer, quieter, more languid than Eilish’s trap-inflected debut. ... The dreamy-jazzy mode suits her singing, which has never sounded better than it does throughout “Happier Than Ever.”

Billie Eilish’s second album expands upon everything that worked the last time and pushes it in new directions, a creative muse restless and bold in its ambition. It may not always land, but this is a terrific release that proves Eilish’s staying power, demonstrating she’s more than up to the task of delivering on the promise of her debut.
