    another creative masterpiece. in folklore she takes characters and writes us a storybook straight out of the fiction that goes on in her head. Not to mention she wrote and produced this album in just over 3 months. It's an adventure into her own fantasy world and I personally think it's one of her best. 1010 recommend.

    perfect albums! I really liked this album, it's my favourite of hers and probably one of my favourites of all time. I think its her most cohesive work so far. All the songs feel different, yet have a similar enough sound to give them a collective identity.

    This is Taylor’s magnum opus. This is the album that will last for a lifetime. It is an absolute classic and this just goes to show that Taylor is not just extremely talented, she’s also a genius. Every song sounds like a poem. I honestly wish more songs would be like the ones from folklore

This is one of the best body of works of the year. On "folklore" Taylor allows her heart to find true inspiration and for consequence we are able to witness her best work as an artist, mainly as a songwriter. Going against the current "80's" trend (which I am enjoying A LOT), Swift brings chill and calming songs that can truly help us reflect positively about life, sounding like a "fresh air" that can inspire us to make it through everything that has been going on for the last five months. On the other hand, the metaphors and powerful lyrics (a Taylor's classic) can send you to another world, a place for deep thoughts and reflections.
    "folklore" isn't a mainstream pop album. It wasn't made to be sucessful on streaming playlists, not even made with short songs in order to count more plays. It's all about the concept, the experience and the feeling that it brings. It's about the way the music relates to your own thoughts, your own feelings and your own fairy tales.    … Expand

    I've never been the biggest fan of Swift, but I gotta say she is a really good songwriter for sure and I'm actually enjoying this album so far, maybe more than her previous works. The piano parts, the melodies, the voice, the lyrics... everything is magical and relaxing.

    Taylor Swift's new album showcases her undeniable songwriting talent. "folklore" is a collection of excellent written songs with minimalistic, simple and clean production. The singer takes a step further and keeps building her sound, but some songs were extremely similar to each other. The project is, for sure, a grower, which explains the 9.

    These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
