    For an album with such a grandiose title, Big Thief’s Double Infinity is bafflingly mediocre — especially since it arrives on the back of a string of good-to-great albums.

    Adrianne Lenker has undoubtedly earned the right to record what she wants, and through both full band and solo releases has established herself as one the century’s preeminent and most prolific songwriters. The indulgences of the former though nearly outweigh her talents towards the end of the album.
