    This cheap pop-folk album did not deserve grammy Rainbow was so much better and Shape of You was the worst song of 2017 along with D-E-S-P-A-S-H-I-T-O

    El nuevo album vino con grandes pretenciones de la mano de "Shape of You", una balada potente pero con sonidos nuevos y bastante comerciales e incluso bailables. Luego de escuchar el resto del disco me llevé una gran decepción, el disco contiene DOCE BALADAS, con sonidos repetidos, incluso similares a su anterior album "X". Es entendible lo de Sheeran, vino con un álbum que sabía que iba aEl nuevo album vino con grandes pretenciones de la mano de "Shape of You", una balada potente pero con sonidos nuevos y bastante comerciales e incluso bailables.     Too Generic. Except ''Shape of You'' whole album kind of sounds the same. Lacks vastness. Stands no where near ''STARBOY'' by The Weeknd or ''Sweet.Sexy.Savage.'' by Kehlani.

    I've always been an advocate of Ed and his talent for composing, but this time ... unfortunately you have to be brutally honest.
    This album seems composed for a mediocre Boys Band. Which makes me think that many songs originally were for the sixth album of One Direcion before they announced their "break" cofcofBreakUpcofcof

    I am a genuine fan of Ed Sheeran and going to see his concert in April. His second album was simply stunning. I was really looking forward to this album, I even got up a few hours early on Friday 3rd March to listen to it.... such a disappointment. I love the song Castle on the Hill and love how honest Eraser is but I think most of the album is so average. Some of the songs sound like wereI am a genuine fan of Ed Sheeran and going to see his concert in April. His second album was simply stunning. I was really looking forward to this album, I even got up a few hours early on Friday 3rd March to listen to it.... such a disappointment.     Boring album There's no innovation at all, the songs look the same. Ed this album is really bad. Only Perfect is good. In quality left a lot to be desired.

    Ed Sheeran´s "Divide" fails to bring the artist to any new directions and results in a generic, poorly written musical mess. While tracks like "Eraser" bring pleasnt reminders of great previous tracks such as "I´m a Mess" for it´s great lyrics it isn´t enough to prevent this from being Sheeran´s worst record so far.

    Overall, Ed Sheeran shifts from the "underdog", "hopeless romantic"    Ed Sheeran´s "Divide" fails to bring the artist to any new directions and results in a generic, poorly written musical mess. While tracks like "Eraser" bring pleasnt reminders of great previous tracks such as "I´m a Mess" for it´s great lyrics it isn´t enough to prevent this from being Sheeran´s worst record so far.

    I was hoping an album with quality is totally audible, but I was wrong. The album is totally flawed, it's not something that comes to be terrible, but bad. Hearing this, I could understand the kind of general sound he was aiming for, but he couldn't create compelling songs to achieve that vision, and create songs that are so-cohesive. There's a lack of focus.

    a collection of my least favourite radio tracks. nothing particularly revolutionary. it was - somewhat - fun, however, to see how the singles exploded.

    unfortunately this isnt a good album of Ed, I hope that the next album would be better than Divide and make a much better job, who make all world like.

    Unfortunately, but this album did not meet my expectations. Only Castle on the Hill and Shape of You are worth listening to. The rest of it is so dolorous, but good to fall asleep quicker.

    He simply made this album to become richer and more famous, and surely he will because it has easy songs and a lot of ballads, which he is known for. But it's really bad in terms of quality. Ed became obsessed with fame and money, and maybe that's the problem, because + and X were really good.

    Regardless of your style or musical career, every artist must have the need to renew themselves musically. You should not just cling to the trends or your comfort zone. And unfortunately this is the case with Ed Sheeran, who owns a collection of records with the same composition model, without allowing himself anything new. Shape of You is a terrible over-played song (the lyrics are the worst part of the song), Galway Girl is utterly annoying with its failure to implement folk into his style. Perfect is a cliche ballad with no substance. I can go on and on. The only song I like is Castle on The Hill. Its clear Sheeran set his eyes on commercialGeneric trash to be honest.     Divide is rather disappointing. Looking at Sheeran's other songs, it shows creativity, passion, and his inner emotions. Divide shows almost none of it. Besides "Save Myself" and "Supermarket Flowers", Divide is just Sheeran just giving in because of his fame. Majority of his songs in Divide just become unplayable after a few listen, because of how annoying they can be. He clearly thoughtDivide is rather disappointing. Looking at Sheeran's other songs, it shows creativity, passion, and his inner emotions. Divide shows almost none of it. Besides "Save Myself" and "Supermarket Flowers", Divide is just Sheeran just giving in because of his fame.     This album is totally garbage. When "Castle On The Hill" was out, I thought this would be a good album until I heard all of the tracks, I was poisoned, this album is the worst of the music industry along with Memories... Do Not Open by The Chainsmokers. I think Ed should retire and never make music again
    The only good song from the album was "Castle On The Hill"

    Ed Sheeran merece 300 grammys por fazer um álbum tão datado,genérico e básico assim,As mesmas baladas horríveis algumas canções legais mas super enjoativas.
    Algumas músicas parecem demos descartadas para o One Direction no começo da carreiras.
    Resumindo com três palavras esse álbum é Chato,Genérico e Datado.

Relying on being catchy and his appeal to fans, Ed Sheeran keeps his everyman nice guy image to create a record of tacky and shallow love ballads like "Happier" that could be done with a little more depth, folk inspired songs to target his demographic like in "Galway Girl", a failed attempt to make a doo wop song like in "Perfect", tawdry world music mixing in "Bibia Be Ye Ye" and a cheap dancehall song like "Shape Of You'" to complete his generic and basic project. Having different styles in an album doesn't make it good. It must be executed properly. Making music for fans doesn't immediately make an album good either.

    Sure, it will be a commercial success, hell it may even take some popularity awards like the GRAMMYs, but this is a huge disappointment after + and X.    … Expand

    Piece of garbage. As simple as that. It is so unbelievably bland and lacking in sincerity or really any sense of vitality. Sheeran's ego is more substantial than the music he makes.

    First of all this albums is garbage. No redeeming factor whatsoever. Same old cheesy horrendous ballads and a couple of catchy but tragic songs. Why this album is so populat is BEYOND ME. I don't get the appeal. It's full of overdone cliche songs. Someone delete this from the history of music

    Sheeran's cheesiest album to date. The ballads have a lot of potential but failed lyrically. The pop sounds felt cluttered and all over the place. All songs sound familiar.

    At best, we have a middling collection of songs that are going to sound great in a packed arena. At worst, it’s a pretty significant step back from X, and once the initial novelty of its release wears off, it’s unlikely to enjoy the popular acclaim or the longevity of its predecessor.
