Perhaps the best Panic! album of all time! Urie's incredible vocal range is a force to be reckoned with.

Even though pray for the wicked is a great album this is just the better version of it with an actual good mix of rock and pop which accelerates the album to highs but it does drag on a bit at the end with the good the bad and the dirty and impossible year. A must listen for any panic! at the disco fan

Death of a Bachelor, Panic! At The Disco’s out-of-time fifth album, is a pretty fun one. I enjoyed the musical theme of the Roaring 20s that the artist pulls off very well, and this album is fairly consistently good. There weren’t really any songs that I didn’t enjoy, though this album is certainly at its best when they go all-in. Death of a Bachelor begins with Victorious, which was a strong start to the album. I liked the a cappella start and the riffs that came in later (the horns were a great choice). For some reason, the melody of the verses stood out to me and the whole thing all fit super well together to form the resulting toe-tapper. Don’t Threaten Me with a Good Time featured a great guitar riff and I really liked the e-piano as well. I thought it was fun how the titular line was spoken instead of sung, but for some reason I couldn’t get down with most of the lyrics (there was a one-liner in the bridge though that I really enjoyed). Musically, I thought the absence of bass during the harmonizing guitar solo and the ending’s drum only prechorus were awesome. Hallelujah’s extended intro was great and I appreciated the calmer/slower music. The song had some good lyrics and I enjoyed the vocals only ending. The fuzz bass in Emperor’s New Clothes, though I wasn’t sure how I felt about the vocal effect. The bridge is pretty cool but dropping to vocals only was starting to get a little old by this point. I loved the loud bass in Death of a Bachelor but the e-drums sounded a little generic. There were some well-written lyrics and I liked the horns, though. The bridge was fairly staccato for me but I did like the comeback with the horn solo. I enjoyed its catchiness and fun ending. The Roaring 20s vibe was taken to 11 with Crazy = Genius. The toms and vocals made a great combination and the horns were probably the best choice for the song. The e-guitars in the chorus reminded me of some of their Vices & Virtues stuff, which rocked. I was also a big fan of the lyrics in this song. I enjoyed the upbeatness of LA Devotee and I also found the lyrics and different-sounding bridge to be fun. The key change was yet another thing about this song that I thought worked extremely well. This song included, I thought so far that Death of a Bachelor had used horns in a very fun way. I appreciated how all-in Golden Days was and I loved the panned distorted pm guitar. The transitions in the song were golden (get it?) and the timing of the bridge was fun. The Good, the Bad and the Dirty continued that current win streak. A gutsy opening, good lyrics, and a pleasing “post-chorus” melody made this song great. House of Memories was panned pretty well and I enjoyed the guitar and piano combo, especially with the dirty horns. I thought that the slowing down was really cool, but I felt that the distorted synth wasn’t the best choice for when it sped back up again. Impossible Year’s calmer music was actually a really nice way to end the album. It showcased Brendon Urie’s low range extremely well and I liked the horn break. The whole song was great until the ending, when I wished it wasn’t drawn out as long as it was. In general, I thought that Death of a Bachelor was one of Panic! At The Disco’s best releases yet. I thought that thematically with the music, this album was spot on. Of course, Panic! always gets creative with their music choices, so the quality of music shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to fans. People who enjoy more upbeat pop should enjoy this album, but it works especially well for me because “pop-rocky” music is my favorite genre and I’d say that a lot of Death of a Bachelor fits that category. I am extremely eager to listen to Pray for the Wicked, as I hear Panic! may release something else later this year and I’d love to be all caught up. Highlights: Victorious; Hallelujah; Crazy = Genius; LA Devotee; Golden Days; and The Good, the Bad and the Dirty.

It's a fun, fast paced album with impressive vocals and great production. It's not perfect but I had fun listening to it and the songs were stuck in my head throughout the day.

this album was nonstop energy and i loved every minute of it. Panic! at the disco albums just keep getting better and better. Brendon's vocals on this album are insanely good and this will definitely go down as one of the legendary albums of rock music, and he is clearly the best vocalist alive. 10/10. this album will spark a lot of jealousy because its so good.

The only problem I have with this album is that I wish it had more tracks. Totally in love with Urie's new sound. Let's (again) take a moment to appreciate how incredible his voice is.

This may be one of the most vibrant albums I've ever heard. The songs are catchy, energetic and great fun. In Brendon's first solo project, he is confident enough to showcase his stronger-than-ever vibrant presence.

idk about other people, but this album to me is perfect, seriously it changes my life in very good ways, and thanks to this album I discovered Brendon, that's it, maybe my review it's too good, thx to the situtation, but in overall I really think that is a very amazing album.

Death of a Bachelor foi a introdução do Brendon! At the Disco para o mundo

Lyrically, this album is pretty weak throughout. The exceptions are "Impossible year" and "Death of a Bachelor", which are very classy and good lyrically. Death of A Bachelor is an enjoyable album throughout, even pretty at moments.

It isn't lyrically incredible, but the music is energetic and it doesn't get full of itself in length (the album is only 11 tracks long). If you like Panic! At the Disco already, yeah, you'll enjoy it. If you like the alternative rock archetype without much of a story, you'll enjoy it. If not, there isn't

One of my favorite albums of 2016. Takes elements from the debut classic A Fever You Can't Sweat Out but more pop and jazz influences. Urie's best vocal performance to date.

Clever blend of new and old styles of music and never has a dull moment. The ranges covered are fantastic and the songs are extremely catchy. Not the most positive of lyrics at times but overall a great album.

This is amazing, the music, lead singer's voice and atmosphere it is all purely amazing.
I really enjoyed this album especially lead singer's voice, holy bananas , it is just phenomenal.
I would also recommend you watching the music video for the song "Emperor's New Clothes" it needs Jesus but it is really good.

This is what Baz Luhrmann's Great Gatsby soundtrack would sound like if done by Panic! Main gripe is it feels like a collection of songs, not a unified project.

Favorite Tracks: Victorious, Hallelujah, Emperor's New Clothes, Death Of A Bachelor, Crazy=Genius, Golden Days, House of Memories, and Impossible Year.

Urie is close. Really close. Tracks like Emporer's New Clothes and yes, even Death of a Bachelor show Urie's range and talent without sounding too much like Fall Out Boy which, I'm afraid, has always been Panic!'s thorn in its side. His musical genius is obvious, its just finding something that will appeal to more of the mainstream crowd that will ultimately determine if Urie truly is destined to be of caliber to the next Sinatra since, lets face it, Urie is no Michael Buble (which could be a good thing). Some of his tracks are still too emo-sounding or Fall Out Boy-sounding, which is when Urie is at his worse. It's tough when your voice sounds exactly the same as another pop band's leader. But, like I said, this effort is probably the closest Urie has gotten to developing his own, mainstream niche. Expand

Panic! at the Disco's new album "Death of a Bachelor" is something that we as fans haven't heard in their sound since their beginning. I think the new sound on "Hallelujah" and "Victorious" are fantastic. They continue to be lyrical and Brenden Urie's voice gives a new life to the music.

Now that Brendon Urie is the only remaining member of Panic! at the Disco, he has created an album that can be personal while still being true to the band's unique style. Every song has meaning while still being fun enough to listen to multiple times.

Ultimately, Death of a Bachelor marks the final transformation of Panic! At the Disco from egalitarian emo band to collaborative pop band headed with singular charisma by Urie the uncontested chairman.
  3. Simply put, Death of a Bachelor is exactly the hot mess it wants to be. It’s been a while since I’ve heard an album that’s so divisive in its quality, so manic on one end and so lazy on the other.
