    Many of their B-sides are just as good as their album tracks, so it's terrific to see them collected onto a single disc. But a number of factors make it somewhat disappointing, not the least of which is that Complete B-Sides is available only as a U.K. import, due to U.S. licensing problems.

    As B-sides albums go, this is fabulous. As Pixies releases go, its pretty decent while obviously not measuring up to the material preferredAs B-sides albums go, this is fabulous. As Pixies releases go, its pretty decent while obviously not measuring up to the material preferred for inclusion on their albums. At 19 tracks, the release does what it says on the tin in terms of completeness. The highlights include versions of songs included on albums, e.g the blistering version of "River Euphrates", the instrumental version of "Letter to Memphis", the surf version of "Wave of Mutilation" as well as "The Thing" which can be found at the end of the Bossanova track "The Happening". Other highlights include "Manta Ray", the classic Pixies B-side "Into the White" and "Evil Hearted You". A release well worth having for big fans of the band, casual fans will probably have enough in the albums.… Full Review »
