Chromatica is the best album of the year. This album be hard to top. Gaga has outdone herself once again.

Chromatica is an album struggling to find an identity within a modern day music landscape, that has unflatteringly obvious flaws and issues painfully stemming from Lady Gaga's lack of artistic or musical creative effort, and hence more lack of cohesive sound or vision.

Gaga has possibly released the most underwhelming album in recent memory. This thing lacks direction, cohesion or differentiation from its predecessors and its modern competition. It has so many sounds, ideas and potential that is shoved into a clunky, awkward and often boring musical and lyrical route, that masks its misused and untouched sounds and ideas as some kind of artistically driven vision. It looks as though Gaga has, disappointingly, seen an opportunity to latch onto sounds that look appealing to general audiences - yet failing to pair most of those sounds to something resembling anything more than poor. It lacks depth, meaning, rhyme and reason and doesn't deserve to be held in any sort of high regard.

Stuffed with inconclusive experimentation and befuddlingly unsatisfying musical elements, Chromatica appears as a leech onto music that, in theory, appeals to the most people possible. The execution of this, however, is basic, uninteresting and ambiguous in its message, if it even has one. From the cold and raw dance house pop of "Alice" to the surface level emotive disco-reminiscent of "1000 Doves," this body of work feels messy at best. The tether between what Gaga needs and wants to do is muddied in ambiguity and her vocals come off as eerily unpleasant in most of the times she tries to emphasise her voice. It seems as though the intent for this was to have Gaga return to a somewhat comforting dancefloor sound, but with little to no effort to have any semblance of artistic growth or sonical depth.

In the grand scheme of her musical career, Chromatica is a harsh reminder of Gaga's failure to keep the edge and flair she once held so pristinely, as she battles modern-day musical trends and struggles to re-establish herself as a musical force. This album epitomises devolved and uninspired musical artistry, and makes me doubtful she will be able to reclaim the sound she has been so desperately chasing for years.

Certainly one of Gaga's best albums, she gets it right in this new era. The harmonization of the songs, the transitions, the production of the album is perfect! From the album stands out "Sine From Above" the feat with Elton John that is simply electrifying and at the same time sad.

The production, lyrics, melody, storyline amazingly crafted just like the usual Lady Gaga
Every single thing on this album is perfect but not too much, everything just put it perfectly & go with the album theme dance, futuristic with a twist of nostalgia that is so earcatching!

With an extreme effort lady Gaga create a stretched 43 minutes album 4/4 kick + snare or hh or clap + 4 random notes. Flat, nothing new, not even a single spark of creativity. Ok, it’s a dance album, but it doesn’t mean it has to be that flat.

The most basic of albums....I see Gaga hasn't left her habbit of making a career out of only visuals with little musical inspiration...I thought Joanne was a move away from that but I was wrong....the sounds are some of the most uninspired dance pop sounds and the lyrics extremely corny. The collabs don't bring anything to the table either.

Absolute monster of an album from start to finish. Everything from the interludes to the heavy thumping of each song combined with the incredible lyricism and cohesion of this body of work is simply a delight. Sine From Above might just be my favorite Gaga song and Chromatica my favorite album of hers.

An adrenaline fueled dance pop record, a return to Gaga’s EDM roots which she popularized almost a decade ago. Orchestral interludes transitioning to club bangers is something I never thought would be possible but Gaga proves she is a musical genius yet again. The lyrics are personal and emotional. 10/10 for the album.

It isn’t a bad album, but she has produced better music. The pros of the album are that it feels very cinematic, the interlude makes it like we're walking through a film so as a whole it does keep you gripped in. There are some stellar songs on here such as Rain On Me, 911 and Babylon and the record I feel is another part to Artpop with its experimental sound.

However, the drawback is mainly with the production and that I think it is really overproduced and is very overpowering. It may be a dance record and it is successful in making you want to dance but still I want to hear Gaga’s voice without being distracted with what’s going on in the background.

Absolute experience. After Lady Gaga went for a different sort of style with her last album, she returned to her roots. The vibes are very 80-90s nostalgia like, but also futuristic, creating an unique and new sound.

Well composed, some hiccups, but overall great sound, some lyrical depth. The opening of Alice is haunting and rememberable, that along with 911, Sine from above will see lots of remixes to get you dancing from the dance floor to your living room. #AgressiveCarDancing. Boundaries are not pushed like her other albums, but there is a lot of nostalgia for 90s house early and 2000 pop with a little mix of fun, punk, and traditional disco elements. Some might say another "reductive" Madonna rip but that is so last decade, ( or two), let's embrace this feeling of simpler time, let our memories replay of rotting our teeth on warheads #sourcandy, playing with plastic dolls, and dance as it rains! The production in this album is pure joy, and the beats are amazing. It mixes perfectly the EDM from the 2010s with 90s and 80s influences and also futuristic touches. Her voice/way of singing changes a lot between every song, and adds more diversity to the tracks. The interludes add so much to the album and the transitions are super smooth and perfectly placed.

The nostalgia in the production — a blend of crisp digital synth textures and ringing grooves drawn directly from '90s house music — further bolsters the shadowed euphoria of a song like "Sour Candy," in which Gaga is joined by the K-pop girl group Blackpink; "Sine from Above," featuring Elton John, gets a similar friction from the interplay between their voices.

Chromatica’s frank grappling with the vagaries of Gaga’s brain – and the way fame exacerbates them – ends up feeling much more real than touring dive bars with a guitar and a Stetson ever did.
