Lady Gaga came back to reclaim her spot back at the dance floor. This album is a brilliant metaphore of pain getting into EDM and pure pop beats transitioning smartly with interludes and a scrip that would make you dance all night long while you take rif of all the sadness.

Without a doubt, the best album of 2020. Lady Gaga returned to her pop roots and brought us a danceable album from start to finish, which, without a doubt, reflects all her pain and her ongoing struggle with herself and gives us a whirlwind of emotions.

Best songs: Babylon, Replay, Free Woman, 911, Enigma, Sine From Above & Rain On Me.

Chromatica is Gaga’s best album since The Fame Monster. With no filler songs, Gaga is back to dance-pop in her best form yet, with a voice so mature that it will make all her little monsters from a decade ago so proud.

Just from the beginning, Alice hits you with nostalgic 2000’s pop, disco, haus dance song and the drop just takes you out of this world. Then comes the song that we all know and love Stupid Love. It makes you dance unconditionally and it is such an earworm, the more you listen, the more you love and crave it to last more. This is true for the most of the songs, you don’t want them to end.Just from the beginning, Alice hits you with nostalgic 2000’s pop, disco, haus dance song and the drop just takes you out of this world. Then comes the song that we all know and love Stupid Love. It makes you dance unconditionally and it is such an earworm, the more you listen, the more you love and crave it to last more. This is true for the most of the songs, you don’t want them to end. Right after Stupid Love, Gaga hits you with a phenomenal hit Rain On Me. Collaboration with Ariana Grande was so smart, their songs go so well together, even tho they r basically opposites. Gaga hits you with lower range of her vocals, at some points she basically speaks, but paired with Ariana’s airy and soft vocals and amazing runs, it just works. This production on this song is so good that it will make you want to dance in whatever mood you are. Then comes free woman which is just an amazing song empowering women and telling a story of Gaga being a free, independent and strong woman who doesn’t need a man to be someone. Feminism and female empowerment is actually something that Gaga has always been strongly supporting with her songs from day 1. After that amazing female empowerment anthem, comes fun tonight. Don’t be fooled by the title, even tho it says fun tonight, when u listen into the lyrics, she says I am not going to have fun tonight. It’s a song how Gaga’s friends try to cheer her up and go to club when she is depressed, and even tho she tries, she just cant have fun. Which is absolutely genius! Only Gaga! I want to take a moment and talk about the interludes a little now. CHROMATICA I, II, III just do their jobs perfectly as interludes. They paint you the picture for what’s coming, set the mood and give you the smoothest transactions possible to make you experience as enjoyable as possible. A great example for this is the beloved by many transition from Chromatica II to 911. 911 is an amazingly dirty beat that gives you all the funk you need and makes Chromatica, Chromatica. Every song on album just plays a role to bring it all together. Collaboration with BlackPink on Sour Candy is just genius. They just WORK together giving us the BOP of the year. This song just makes you want to party and dance and be sexy and feel yourself. Plastic doll tells a story how Gaga tells a man not to play with her feelings as if she is a plastic doll. She plays with words on this album, and does a lot of metaphors and this is one of them. Enigma showcases Gaga’s extremely strong vocals that keep you hypnotized. Personally, it’s one of my favorites. Then comes Replay which is basically a time machine that takes you back to 80’s, 90’s roller-skate stadiums. Lyrically and sonically it has a more dark vibe to it. You can just hear the pain and struggle in her voice on this track. It’s such a bop and once you get into that vibe, you don’t want to get out. Overall the second act is much more experimental and is reminiscent of ARTPOP. Then comes the incredibly good collaboration with Sir. Elton John which is favorite by many. Their voices just work together so well. 1000 Doves is a beautiful song, very vibey, very authentic. Just when you thought it couldn’t get better, Gaga gives you a piano version, which takes it to the next level. Last, but definitely not least, Babylon is a gay anthem. It gives you such immense positive energy, it just empowers you to a point you want to vogue and catwalk like you are on a fashion show. It brings out the sassy queen even from the toughest, driest crackers. It’s just a perfect song to finish the album. Just listening to the choir and gospel like ending you can tell it’s gonna be a banger during her Chromatica tour, with everyone clapping and singing along. Overall CHROMATICA is a whole universe of experiences that you definitely dont want to miss on. Just make sure to listen with good headphones to truly appreciate the masterful production on this album. Gaga hits you with her professional, powerful vocals throughout the album. During songs you can hear how she taps into different vocal and editing techniques to make the songs as engaging as humanly possibly. You just don’t get tired of these songs! Lyrically this album is actually pretty sad and deep, as Gaga touches a lot of important themes especially regarding her past and present mental struggles. On the surface and sonically, this is a very fun dancy album, but when u pay attention, and really listen into it, you realize that lyrically it’s so much deeper than just fun songs. It’s a very intimate and personal album that shares Gaga’s everyday struggles. However paired with upbeat songs, you just can’t help it and dance. Which is the whole concept of the album, where you dance through the pain and struggles and it heals you in a way. And the timing just couldn’t be better. Everyone could use some healing nowadays. So let’s listen to this phenomenal album and heal by dancing through our struggles! Expand

The nostalgia in the production — a blend of crisp digital synth textures and ringing grooves drawn directly from '90s house music — further bolsters the shadowed euphoria of a song like "Sour Candy," in which Gaga is joined by the K-pop girl group Blackpink; "Sine from Above," featuring Elton John, gets a similar friction from the interplay between their voices.

Infectious, exciting and even a little hedonistic during some of the most confusing of modern times, now’s never been a better time to get lost in this new destination.

Chromatica’s frank grappling with the vagaries of Gaga’s brain – and the way fame exacerbates them – ends up feeling much more real than touring dive bars with a guitar and a Stetson ever did.
