Same dire, boring material from Lana Del Rey, just with a different album cover 18 months later.

it didn't exactly blow me away, it was pretty standard. i always have a hard time getting into lana's albums but when its good its good and when its not.. its genuinely not. this might just be because i'm not a fan of nfr either however honeymoon is top tier

Expand

Every song looks same tbh ever since 2013 I have not heard a good song from her it feels like she just been singing the same song over and over again she does not challenge her voice or add some extra effort on her music and I don't think it would change in future .

Mostly the same formula. Boring songs, lana really needs to reinvent herself. She can just do those boring songs and has less catchy songs with every new album.

Featuring a title track that made rapidly its place amongst Lana Del Rey's greatest songs, you would imagine the rest of Chemtrails Over the Country Club to be as hauntingly beautiful. Unfortunately, it's the opposite. On her 7th album and massively awaited opus to Norman **** Rockwell!, a new staple in modern music, Lana searches herself by surrounding her melodies with acoustics instruments and an overall yee-haw atmosphere. The problem is that by the last few songs, it's clear she failed to achieve the same charm. Most of the tracks are lacking depth, and gives us an unpleasant taste in the mouth when reaching the finale. Expand

Lana Del Rey barely manages to sing her way through the first three songs, and all of it sounds so last minute and lyrically weak. Chemtrails Over The Country Club deserved the delayed release; it should've been a posthumous release. Expand

white dress, this song is… and the album compared NFR is just garbage, like NFR was such delightful and tasted like strawberries on a summer evening whereas this one sound like a rabbit that died cause of a white old car

As a Lana del Ray fan, i am truly dissappointed by what i've heard. She continued to put out another album which sounds the same. Hopefully her next project will be more inspired. I can't believe it has come to this.

#LanaDelRey really is on top of her art! Her best music to date! This album is beginning to end full of deep lyrics toped with masterful vocals. She's definitely in a league of her own.

After a couple of songs the album becomes so monotonous, the high vocal delivery gets old pretty soon and the instrumentation leaves a lot to be desired.

It’s hard to resist the sensory impact of these songs. Chemtrails picks up the nostalgic thread of 2019’s Norman Fucking Rockwell!, though here she’s mostly Midwest and more melodic. [Jun 2021, p.25]

“Tulsa Jesus Freak” is arguably closest to the Lana Del Rey longtime fans know and love, and it’s no surprise that it was written in 2019, around the time NFR! came out. “Yosemite” is another highlight, a stunning number with Del Rey’s vocals at their best. But most songs on Chemtrails don’t stand out. They blend together in their delicateness.

[Closing track] aside, most of the 11 songs on Chemtrails are melodically and vocally substantive, replete with sensual hooks and evocative images.
