Lana Del Rey barely manages to sing her way through the first three songs, and all of it sounds so last minute and lyrically weak. Chemtrails Over The Country Club deserved the delayed release; it should've been a posthumous release. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Featuring a title track that made rapidly its place amongst Lana Del Rey's greatest songs, you would imagine the rest of Chemtrails Over the Country Club to be as hauntingly beautiful. Unfortunately, it's the opposite. On her 7th album and massively awaited opus to Norman **** Rockwell!, a new staple in modern music, Lana searches herself by surrounding her melodies with acoustics instruments and an overall yee-haw atmosphere. The problem is that by the last few songs, it's clear she failed to achieve the same charm. Most of the tracks are lacking depth, and gives us an unpleasant taste in the mouth when reaching the finale. Expand

#LanaDelRey really is on top of her art! Her best music to date! This album is beginning to end full of deep lyrics toped with masterful vocals. She's definitely in a league of her own.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

Lana needs to change her sound cause it’s starting to be boring. NFR was a masterpiece but Chemtrails it’s just NFR but boring. Her previous albums were fantastic, she should go back to the sounds from BTD or LFL.

3rd album where she complains about fame. It feels completely ungenuine when she keeps releasing record after record and doing everything in her power to drawn attention to her. Only the title track has replay value and good songwriting. Breaking Up Slowly is average and the production ruined For Free. It ends out of nowhere and they sound like a white hippie lower middle class church3rd album where she complains about fame. A singer who hates other singers achievements couldn't make a soulful and worth listening music. The album didn't give me good vibes.

Every song looks same tbh ever since 2013 I have not heard a good song from her it feels like she just been singing the same song over and over again she does not challenge her voice or add some extra effort on her music and I don't think it would change in future .

It's more of the same, very basic and boring.
It is not an album with which it will be in the first places

It’s hard to resist the sensory impact of these songs. Chemtrails picks up the nostalgic thread of 2019’s Norman Fucking Rockwell!, though here she’s mostly Midwest and more melodic. [Jun 2021, p.25]

“Tulsa Jesus Freak” is arguably closest to the Lana Del Rey longtime fans know and love, and it’s no surprise that it was written in 2019, around the time NFR! came out. “Yosemite” is another highlight, a stunning number with Del Rey’s vocals at their best. But most songs on Chemtrails don’t stand out. They blend together in their delicateness.

[Closing track] aside, most of the 11 songs on Chemtrails are melodically and vocally substantive, replete with sensual hooks and evocative images.
