    The vocals remain top-notch but Justin has traded his ear for production with a general lack of taste. Songs come and go without sticking.

    Changes marked Justin's staggering move to R&B. The instrumentation felt softer, a lot of reverbs, and calming; but then the vocal came in along with lethargic and noisy beats. To think Yummy is going to be the worst of this album, the next three songs after it will tell otherwise. His collab with Travis Scott and Kehlani wasn't ended up intertwined.     I’ll give it a cute 3 for the first three songs that were somewhat decent. Fourth track and beyond it is bland, heard before, generic, etc. Purpose was a solid album, and it’s disappointing to see what his music has become now. Justin relies on the people around him to achieve his success, but maybe now he relies a little bit too much, as those people created a horrendous piece of work. AtI’ll give it a cute 3 for the first three songs that were somewhat decent.     Compared to Purpose, a step back. Flat, boring... I wanted something from him. At least, I wanted something similar to his previous work, but it is miles worse. The instrumentals are so basic and his voice comes and goes in a weird way. Every song sounds the same. I don't understand why he put this out after 4 years. So disappointed

    Canzoni tutte simili fra di loro. Ha ripetuto per mesi quanto l'album sarebbe stato R&B, ma in realtà segue semplicemente i trend del momento in modo fallimentare. Niente di innovativo o che faccia notare una possibile maturazione di Bieber, anzi. I vecchi album, forse, sono pure migliori.

    Ma con un singolo come Yummy, cosa potevamo aspettarci?

    Come Around Me, Forever, Second Emotion, Get Me, Changes, That’s What Love Is, Intentions, E.T.A have only good 15 second parts of the songs and that’s it. The lyrics are so repetitive and boring. He is an amazing artist and it feels like he’s wasted his talent on this. Writing about Hailey is what like that magazine said writing about an appliance lol.

    Even though I don't like Justin attitude and the way he is, I always gave him one thing he is good as a musician and has a lot of potential. Between the releases of Journals and Purpose he had a lot of improvement in lyrics and production. Even though I was not a fan of the singles from this album, gave Justin the benefit of the doubt.     As much as I want to loveee this album. I find it too repetitive. For me, a lot of the songs merge into one and after listening to the album I wouldn't be able to differentiate them from each other. They all kind of say the same thing with hardly any originality. I expected a bit more from this album I can't lie.

    Unfortunately pretty average melody. After listening to the whole album I couldn’t really distinguish between the songs. Every song sounds similar - personally speaking, for me there is no real rememberable hit on the album.

    The album it’s not all good, the beat from Running Over it’s from Asher Monroe. I think he didn’t get any message for stealing them beat. That’s so sick Scooter Braun! Justin asked a lot of famous to promote him album and then paid a part of them to get some downloads Streams etc. that’s wtf. Okay I know he’s so desperate for that. Thank you.

    Justin seems like he just making music to stay in bussiness . No purpose , no dedication and no artistic view . Maybe he just wants to make songs for charts and be a single artist in that case ok but if he wants to make goid albums he really needs to start searching for his sound and what he wants be known for .

    I am a Belieber since 2010 but I have never heard such a boring album from him. In my opinion all of the songs sound waaaay too much alike and the lyrics seem not the slightest bit believeable. Plus, the melody of "Running over" is just plain stolen from Asher Monroe's song "Synergy".

"Purpose" can't be beat, least of all with a mostly monotonous album. With the only tolerable songs on this album, easily "Changes" could just be an EP and I would have enjoyed it.     The album as a whole is not amusing. The main reason would be the similar sounding trap beats and the songwriting it self. The songs too aren't quite catchy. The artist has potential with a truely gifted voice but the hope he puts them to the perfect use.

    Quando você tenta fazer algo sem nem ao menos entender aquilo que você almeja, o resultado vai ser provavelmente um Changes. A tentativa grotesca de Bieber produzir álbum R&B foi sem dúvidas o que mais afeta o entretenimento nesse disco. As batidas e melodias mais lentas só tentam disfarçar o pop genérico presente. As the disastrous "Yummy""Purpose" was his best album, no debate about that. It was also his only decent album, thanks to a high-budget tidy production. Here the production is mechanical and uninspired. It sound like one song streched for the duration of an album. Bieber's tiresome vocals remain the biggest problem of his music, not even his impressively pathetic lyrics can top that. As the disastrous "Yummy" might suggest, this album tries to fit in Bieber into the new trend of music, dominated by urban genres, without geting too deep, mixing it with his ultra-mega-cheesy pop-appeal that his 11-year old target loves so much. "Intentions" was the only good song in this sea of mediocrity. "Running Over" gets the second place, even with that Lil Dicky verse (that says enough about the rest of the album).

    While Bieber's voice still sounds like that of a mid- to late-teen, singing seems to come more naturally to him, and his falsetto pleas are neither bitter nor entitled, strictly genuine and adult.

    Artists can certainly grow up and mature without losing their edge or creative spark. Changes, however, is ultimately a transitional record that finds Bieber navigating how to reconcile adulthood with pop stardom—and discovering that, at least in his case, this merger is a tricky one.
