    Although her voice has declined massively (note: she has had vocal nodules since before she began her career) in the consequent four years since 'Me. I Am. Mariah.', her vocal work on this album is incredibly clever, and highly melodically interesting. I have not stopped listening to this album or stopped watching reaction and review videos for this album!!     Amazing penmanship by Mariah Carey and a truly outstanding production. Everything is contained and cohesive but by no means ordinary. The record is deceptively lowkey, but ask Mariah why all classics are so difficult to master. She sure knows the answer.

    Superb. We'll keep it short and sweet, Mariah's best output since Butterfly in 1997. Yes, I said it's better than E=MC2 and Emancipation sue me.

    Caution reveals a mature version of the excellent songwriter/singer who mesmerized fans throughout 28 years of a solid career. Mariah suppressed the well known whistles and high notes and highlight the ability to make her low notes sync with the chilling vibe of the album. It's a must-listen-to album!

    It's really great to know that a 90's diva managed to make one of the best career albums of almost 50 years. Mariah's always reinventing herself to get the best results in music, which almost always works out. "Caution" is an album that has an RnB mixed with trap, something that had effect in the quality of the album. Mariah Carey is a legend in music, and her 15th album confirms this again.

    This is the best R&B album of the last decade.
    Amazing production that creates a hunting, atmospheric vibe. The song Giving me life is literally a masterpiece, a work of art. And let's not delude ourselves: Mariah Carey is master of her craft, one of the best singer-songwriters of all time.

    Only Mariah can outdo Mariah like this. It's fresh but welcoming and comfortable. It's music at its best. Songwriting, melodies and arrangements on point.

    A consistent and solid RNB album, fresh and so contemporary, 30 years into her career Mariah is still delivering better bodies of work than her current fellow pop colleagues, legend status.

    This album is fresh, slick and cohesive while still sounding like classic Mariah. Without a single filler on the album this is definitely Mariah Carey at her best. An essential listen for R&B fans.

    It has been a lot since I do not like an album of her from the first listening and that was that happened here. She gave some electronic vibes to some songs making an album with alternative r&b undertones. I am more than happy with the result even if she did only ten songs.

    This is the Mariah Carey I missed most: vulnerable, sexy and completely involved emotionally and vocally in her work. It's like a Butterfly in a modern key.

    I'm only now getting into her full discography, but I've always appreciated classics such as Vision of Love and Bliss. her last album, the often angelic Me I Am Mariah...The Elusive Chanteuse, brought some great synthpop textures to her classic lush R&B musings, and it satisfied for longer than the standard pop era, despite frustratingly being a flop.    goddamn.....she truly delivered here.
    I'm only now getting into her full discography, but I've always appreciated classics such as Vision of Love and Bliss. her last album, the often angelic Me I Am Mariah...The Elusive Chanteuse, brought some great synthpop textures to her classic lush R&B musings, and it satisfied for longer than the standard pop era, despite frustratingly being a flop. now though, Mariah reclaims her throne, and hopefully this era will do better commercially. this is my favorite thing she's put out since Rainbow, based on my limited knowledge of her discography. I hope to immerse myself further in depth in her discography and I feel this is a wonderful starting point. highlights for me include the stunning classic R&B of first single With You, the smooth PBR&B centerpiece Giving Me Life, One Mo' Gen, The Distance and the album's most dazzling banger: A No No. it's an immediate highlight, and her harmonized A6 feels like a victory. it feels like that scene in an indie movie where a peak in a newfound relationship is flourishing. Mariah delivered. a Q4 stunner. will absolutely end up on my (as well as that of many other pop music listeners') best-of 2018 list. to all first time listeners (there have gotta be some out there): start with With You.    … Expand

    Mariah has touched hearts with this album, so compact with soft and moving sounds and rhythms. This LP is a total journey. She has put her heart, her ability of writing and her powerful voice in 10 songs. 83/100

    Well Mariah recognizes that time passes but she is still fresh and her Caution is out of line, she returns with a contemporary album and with her voice shows the maturity she has achieved since her last album, finally "With you" stands out as her pure essence of its R&B roots of the 90s.

    One of her best albums, which includes a masterpiece like Giving Me Life among other great songs as A No No, With You, GTFO or The Distance. Really recommended to give her a try even you don't usually like her.

This frees Mariah up to experiment and boy, does she ever do that here. From the fire-starter that is GTFO to the sonic groove of Giving Me Life featuring the also-legendary Slick Rick, it is evident that Mariah is playing the industry game with a new hand of cards.

    It's pretty embarrassed to say that it was when her last album came out that she somehow became my favorite singer and to-the-most-I-can-say idol, even mentor particularly in how one should make his own way of living. As one of her fans, this record has been waited for too long, but it tuned out that it's worth all that. Portrait is the song that really makes me feel like I'm kind-ofIt's pretty embarrassed to say that it was when her last album came out that she somehow became my favorite singer and to-the-most-I-can-say idol, even mentor particularly in how one should make his own way of living.     Previously, Mariah Carey has made it clear that she’s been through too much to care what anyone else thinks, shrugging off critics and denying all drama. On Caution, Carey has channeled that energy into the music itself.
