    While it would be interesting to see them lose control at some point and take things on a different gear, the band encapsulates very nicely their core concepts in Black Rainbow Sound, making it their strongest record so far.

    Menace Beach have shown a lot of creative growth in their relatively short existence, constantly homing in on their essential elements and discarding the rest with each new release.

    Black Rainbow Sound is an album that shows a band in flux. The songs sounds bigger and more articulated. Menace Beach are using a larger musical palate and it mostly works.
