Its not a bad album. Its not a very good one either. Applause is my favorite song from the album, this song is amazing, to sing and at the same time to dance at the disco... I live for the Applause.

It's no instant classic, then, but neither is it the calamity that some have foreseen, being a typically mixed Gaga outing with some ludicrous highs, questionable digressions and plenty of not-unpleasant filler. «ARTPOP» wants to hide that it doesn’t have much to say. Podríamos describir al álbum como infravalorado y muy arriesgado pero, varias Canciones del Álbum Pareciesen Descartes de Sus Álbumes Anteriores, Jewels & Drugs Por Ejemplo, Gaga quizo Reforzar su Estilo EDM Y A la vez promover el Arte, Pero por ese Entonces el EDM Era Muy Popular, ARTPOP es la Referencia Perfecta de que Todo en Exceso Hace Daño

ARTPOP is quite the roller coaster, to be a little soft. It starts out amazingly strong with Aura, but getting further into the album, it just becomes more odd than enjoyable, plus Jewels N' Drugs is totally misplaced on the album. The album definitely has its shiny moments, but its mostly forgettable, experimental EDM that has terribly aged as time treks onward.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expand

ARTPOP’s music is at least more three-dimensional. Still, Gaga’s weird streak comes through—the record also has raging electric guitars (the Adele-goes-wild “Manicure”), sparkly R&B electro (the R. Kelly-featuring “Do What U Want”) and Sun Ra quotes (“Venus”). EDM stalwarts Infected Mushroom even collaborate with Gaga on “Aura” for a hiccuping disco hopscotch. Expand

Only 3 memorable songs. This would not be good even in 2013 when it was released. You can dance to it, and I love Gaga, but this album is not it.

Sonically interesting but too grandiose to stay grounded. Gaga aimed for the stars, achieved liftoff, and immedietly got stuck in a boring limbo above the clouds.

Gaga se queda sin una idea clara para su tercer album y termina perdiendo su esencia para pasar a ser una artista pop mas del monton y reciclando viejas ideas.

The entire concept for this is so pretentious that it looks embarassing. The entire record looks like discarded tracks from her "The Fame+Monster" CD. I would add that it has even pretentiousness on the album cover. Why waste so much art to make delibaretely stupid material? It has a few good songs that lacks originality and creativity. Artpop is a very mixed bag, despite its excellent production with very talented producers like Zedd and Madeon the lyrics are simply bad. Very few songs on the album stand out and when they do it is thanks to their production. Favourites include Applause, Gypsy, Swine, Mary Jane Holland and Aura.

ARTPOP is an electronic and electropop album, that made Gaga a better artist. For me the best songs of ARTPOP are Applause, Dope and Mary Jane Holland. But the album does not have a feeling of good quality and it seems that Gaga made it in a hurry. It is great that it has 15 songs, but I heard a lot of filler material

Lady Gaga's ARTPOP is a huge, somehow ambitious project. The production work here is quite colorful, expanding and explosive - which, for the most part can't be said about Gaga's performances. Yes, there is quite a satisfying amount of well-composed pop songs here that could easily stuck with the listener, hadn't there been so many mixed feelings rolling around. Yes, there is quite a satisfying amount of well-composed pop songs here that could easily stuck with the listener, hadn't there been so many mixed feelings rolling around. It is her most explosive, well produced and strange release yet, but also her messiest, most tiresome album as well. As great as some of the deeper cuts may be, it is the first half of the tracklisting that contains the most cohesive moments, and in the long run, the whole experience steadily becomes more and more compromised by the hyper colorful instrumentals and huge beats (never mind the horrible lyrics). Had it used some trimming in the seemingly endless tracklisting, ARTPOP could be a very successful pop record, both comercially and... yes, artistically as well. Expand

This is by far the worst record by Lady Gaga. Far away from the incredible 'The Fame' or 'The Fame Monster', Lady Gaga gaves us confusing and mixed feeling towards what was supposed to be an artistic speech through music. Not feeling it.

Is here wrongly, full of promises he could not keep, "ARTPOP" sounds like an attempt not very successful innovation, which ended up being more confusing beats and lyrics without much sense. The Pop Art vein was completely left aside here, and ended up making him a pop music album undefined.

Incredibly mediocre. She could have made a big thing with this, solidifying her status. On the contrary, GaGa went out for an oddity without heart, bland lyrics and the usual exhausting hyper-sexuality. Definitely, her next records needs a better thoughtness.

On average, I really had the impression that this record suffered from some rushing production, to keep at peace with the period and surfing the big wave of her own fame. And she failed. Some more working and less fillers would have helped a lot. Also, she needs to give up every "ohhh ohhh" "ahhh ahhh" and actually put meaningful words to conceive a "good" song.

Expect much MUCH more after Born this Way, BTW was one of the best records of all time and after that i expected much more especially with the hype that was created. But i don't think there was a SINGLE track which deserves recommendation. Venus was probably better but that was probably it.Was very disappointed with Gaga's effort.Maybe next time!

ARTPOP suffers from too many EDM songs and it makes me feel that Gaga's team was rushing this album, even the lead single "Applause" was almost left off at the least minute. The highlights of the album are "Applause", "Do What U Want", "Dope", "X Dreams", and "Aura".

ARTPOP isn't a terrible album, but that doesn't mean its good either. What Gaga tried to accomplish with ARTPOP is diving into pop's underbelly, delivering an EDM-charged record that is louder, angrier, and more aggressive than any of her prior releases, or any album to hit the market in 2013. And that's exactly where ARTPOP failed. For a pop star that has widespread appeal, experimental records that stray from the artists original sound often fail (see: Bionic, Erotica) and ARTPOP is 60 minutes of one musical extreme to the other. The album transcends from bass heavy EDM (Swine) to Hip Hop (Jewels N Drugs) to electronica (Applause) to oddly placed piano ballads (Dope). Gaga's intentions for this record might've been good, but it was poorly executed. Expand

Comparing to her previous works, ARTPOP stands alone. Lady Gaga wanted to make it like a performance (with an opening act and applause in the end), but I think that she could make it a little bit better by bringing more ART or musical styles she's famous for.

Of course, there are some songs that show us how hard she's been working the past 2 years prior the album's release (G.U.Y., Sexxx Dreams, DWUW, Artpop, MANiCURE, Swine, Gypsy and Applause); but the other part of what was meant to be the story of "How ART Met POP" is like an old Hollywood cliche, and sometimes you find yourself asking what kind of ART she's bringing to Pop Culture in these songs.
Yes, no one is perfect and even the greatest people make the silliest mistakes, but when we talk about such a revolutionary artist like Lady Gaga, we mean that she is a perfectionist and always tries to make everything brilliant (she's said about it hundred times).

So I hope that ARTPOP: Act II will be in same matter that The Fame Monster and Born This Way were.
