This Album makes you feel some Women Empowerment. I love it so much. Its just an 8 tracks but the production and how it's composed sounds a high quality songs. They made efforts on each tracks that makes it good. And their title track is so meaningful. It sounds so good.     i dont ever buy kpop albums but this is the first album that i bought after listening. no skips at all, been listening to it on repeat since it came out and haven't got bored yet. very diverse yet cohesive, has amazing collabs, mixes different genres of music using both korean and english in beautiful and touching, as well as badass and empowering lyrics, amazing production skills, all 8i dont ever buy kpop albums but this is the first album that i bought after listening. no skips at all, been listening to it on repeat since it came out and haven't got bored yet. very diverse yet cohesive, has amazing collabs, mixes different genres of music using both korean and english in beautiful and touching, as well as badass and empowering lyrics, amazing production skills, all 8 tracks are title track worthy. one of the best releases of 2020. you can see they really prepared well for their first studio album, it was worth the wait for me… Expand

I highly recommend this album even to non kpop listeners, I'm sure they will enjoy it. The only disappointment was the number of songs, but hopefully YG Entertainment will release a deluxe album with three or four new songs later.… Expand

    i gave it 10/10 this is a bop album for a girl group and i actually don't to these kind of music but i just happened to listen to one of the edit videos on twitter and i kinda like the song and yeah i think this is a good album that has 8 tracks of great songs and maybe a few more listen to it.     it's a FULL Album by South Korean standards.
    The Album has no fillers, each track can be a hit on its own.
    The vocals from all 4 members are the highlight.
    I just like a couple more tracks

    If you are trying to be edgy like some of these mainstream "no talent" critics this Album is not for you, the Bars will cut you to shreds.

    the defining song of this album is definitely "lovesick girls". it's an anthemic song that explores why people continue to seek love and validation after being hurt time and time again. it's a song that doesn't song like it's trying to be a hit, which is a much different direction for the group and shows that, while they can make songs that are pure fun, they can also explore interesting and deep topics.

    i love everything about this album and the girls' vocals really shined, especially on "you never know", another heartfelt song that discussed the rampant harassment of idols.

    i didn't expect to like "bet you wanna" because i'm not the biggest fan of cardi, but it's so chill and almost ethereal that her feature doesn't even bother me.

    i don't have much to say about the other songs, but don't get me wrong, i love them as well. "how you like that" is one of my favorite releases of the year. i'm very impressed by the cohesiveness, an element that was somewhat absent from their past releases, of the album as a whole.

    i really only have 2 complaints about it. i think some of the choruses were a bit underwhelming and pretty savage needed some improvement. but besides that, this might be my favorite album of the year.    … Expand

    Each track felt like it could have a music video and be a title track! Didn’t even feel the need to skip a song at all like I do with some other albums that’s how good it is for me! Definitely worth buying!

    The Album is so much fun, no skip, no flop. The girls keep showing their strengths, when it comes to singing they really nailed and made an impact to everyone. Each songs have their own story to let people how their moods will be. It gives chill and hype at the same time although the album was short, it is still made a powerful impact to everyone.

    It's interesting how every song sounds completely different and truly feels like an unique song. There's no secondary tracks, there's no songs that just fill the album to be a long project. Every track sounds as if it was worked to be a tittle track and that's something I love about blackpink, they always release the best of the best. I love this album

    All tracks could pass as title track. Pure bops in one album of 8 songs. I could listen to it repeatedly and not get bored

I didn’t expect them to change their concept, since this is their beginning, they’re showing their signature and BRAND on their very first full album... and I think that means alot. My favourite tracks are lovesick girls, pretty savage and you never know!     This album was not that good to me. The title track, Lovesick Girls was not bad, however it didn’t fit in with the album at all. For most albums, the songs kind of go together, but it is totally different and only goes with Ice Cream, which was not a good song at all. The bsides sounded very rushed and you could tell they were fillers. I also feel like the album definitely could’ve hadThis album was not that good to me.     All the songs are very good, the versatility you can find from "Pretty Savage" to "You never know" is incredible. Blackpink have totally caught my interest.

    The Album by BLACKPINK is one of the best Albums of 2020 so far, it has no skips at all. The songs can also have each Music Video because of it's Quality. I love the girls' exquisite voices specially Lisa's rap parts each song. Blackpink deserves more recognition and I'm hoping for them to snatch a grammys nomination next year. By the way, track 'You Never Know' is my favorite song from THE ALBUM.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. you don't see that many girl group are doing it like them, BLACKPINK got it all! they sing great live, they can rap, they can dance, they got the swag and THE ALBUM really show how versatile and multi-talented these girls are, they sing in Korean, Japanese & fluent English.. they become the trendstter, the standard, the inspiration for so many kpop gg/international gg who wanted to be just like them, some of you may not like sone of the song on this album but wait until they performed it to you live, you may change your mind after that haha, they stage presence is insane even COACHELLA approved it!

    I’m not a kpop stan but this album is a masterpiece. Each and every song is catchy, flawless and show the girls’ amazing vocals. How You Like that is a song that does not get old and it’s an absolute bop. Ice Cream is a fun song that definitely cheers you up and makes you feel instantly happy. Pretty Savage was insanely good and well-produced; I can go on and on... I will never stopI’m not a kpop stan but this album is a masterpiece.     Loved it except the fact that Jennie barely had a rap part. That made me reconsider if i liked it or not. Also Ice cream was the worst song in their discography. But i have to admit Love to hate me and Crazy over you was amazing. Bet you wanna was one of the best collabs they made. Line distribution was nearly fair. Hope Jennie gets more rap and Jisoo gets fair lines next time.
