    The Album is appropriately named. It is THE ALBUM. The different sides of Blackpink shine through in the 8 tracks that can easily stand alone as title tracks. The Album takes you through a roller coaster of emotions as you get sentimental and ready to cry listening to "You Never Know" then  jump to feeling empowered and channeling your inner Badass  as you listen to "How You like That" andThe Album is appropriately named. Thats not all, the 4 Queens of Blackpink collab with powerful women, Selena Gomez (Icecream) and Cardi B (Bet You Wanna) to deliver fun flirty and catchy tracks that will have you singing along all day.  There's even a track for the haters titled  "Love to Hate Me" If any of this sparks your interest, go ahead and give The Album a listen. Please disregard all those negative reviews that are only there as an insult to Blackpink. The girls said it best there are people out there that "Love to Hate" them and will gladly go out of their way and waste their time to try sabotage them by leaving a review for an Album they probably didnt even listen to. I can’t get over it, reallyyyy ahhh i cried and party while listening to this gift of God. I keep on playing this masterpiece over and over again, it’s like an oxygen of my body that I keep on wanting it moreeeee... congrats to the songwriters, artists and producers of this album because its soooo worth it to play a 100000x, worth it pa saimong uyab! This Album makes you feel some Women Empowerment. I love it so much. Its just an 8 tracks but the production and how it's composed sounds a high quality songs. They made efforts on each tracks that makes it good. And their title track is so meaningful. It sounds so good. You can feel that even in this album, they put their own emotions that makes it more enjoyable to listen. They killed every genre of the tracks.… Expand

    i dont ever buy kpop albums but this is the first album that i bought after listening. no skips at all, been listening to it on repeat since it came out and haven't got bored yet. very diverse yet cohesive, has amazing collabs, mixes different genres of music using both korean and english in beautiful and touching, as well as badass and empowering lyrics, amazing production skills, all 8i dont ever buy kpop albums but this is the first album that i bought after listening. no skips at all, been listening to it on repeat since it came out and haven't got bored yet. very diverse yet cohesive, has amazing collabs, mixes different genres of music using both korean and english in beautiful and touching, as well as badass and empowering lyrics, amazing production skills, all 8 tracks are title track worthy. one of the best releases of 2020. you can see they really prepared well for their first studio album, it was worth the wait for me… Expand

    Their albums are always full of bops, and this album, THE ALBUM, is no exception. This was a perfect album to showcase their sound, though I wish there were more tracks. (I know it is not the girl's fault.)

Apart from that, I really enjoyed how each song is vividly unique. Every song has its own color. I enjoyed all of the songs and I'm even finding it difficult to pick a favorite. I highly recommend this album even to non kpop listeners, I'm sure they will enjoy it. The only disappointment was the number of songs, but hopefully YG Entertainment will release a deluxe album with three or four new songs later.… Expand

    i gave it 10/10 this is a bop album for a girl group and i actually don't to these kind of music but i just happened to listen to one of the edit videos on twitter and i kinda like the song and yeah i think this is a good album that has 8 tracks of great songs and maybe a few more listen to it. Congratulations to this Girl group you guys are good

    it's a FULL Album by South Korean standards.
    The Album has no fillers, each track can be a hit on its own.
    The vocals from all 4 members are the highlight.
    I just like a couple more tracks

    If you are trying to be edgy like some of these mainstream "no talent" critics this Album is not for you, the Bars will cut you to shreds.

    i've been a blink since the start of this year. i've always viewed their music as very fun and not necessarily trying to be deep or meaningful. there's nothing wrong with that, but with this album, blackpink proved they could be more than a group that makes fun music and can explore a range of topics.

    the defining song of this album is definitely "lovesick girls". it's an anthemic song that explores why people continue to seek love and validation after being hurt time and time again. it's a song that doesn't song like it's trying to be a hit, which is a much different direction for the group and shows that, while they can make songs that are pure fun, they can also explore interesting and deep topics.

    i love everything about this album and the girls' vocals really shined, especially on "you never know", another heartfelt song that discussed the rampant harassment of idols.

    i didn't expect to like "bet you wanna" because i'm not the biggest fan of cardi, but it's so chill and almost ethereal that her feature doesn't even bother me.

    i don't have much to say about the other songs, but don't get me wrong, i love them as well. "how you like that" is one of my favorite releases of the year. i'm very impressed by the cohesiveness, an element that was somewhat absent from their past releases, of the album as a whole.

    i really only have 2 complaints about it. i think some of the choruses were a bit underwhelming and pretty savage needed some improvement. but besides that, this might be my favorite album of the year.    … Expand

    Each track felt like it could have a music video and be a title track! Didn’t even feel the need to skip a song at all like I do with some other albums that’s how good it is for me! Definitely worth buying!
