Um álbum muito neutro, as melodias são bonitinhas, nada muito criativo exceto por "how you like that", não me desagradou, de forma alguma, mas é raso

O mv de lovesick girls cópia uma parte do clipe da girlband britânica little mix shout out to my ex. Em conclusão o álbum é composto por canções genéricas, e vende a música como produto comercial e não arte. Expand

Absolutely loved this album! Wish there were a couple more tracks!
Hopefully waiting for a repackage or some kind of deluxe edition with new tracks!

it's a FULL Album by South Korean standards.
The Album has no fillers, each track can be a hit on its own.
The vocals from all 4 members are the highlight.
I just like a couple more tracks

If you are trying to be edgy like some of these mainstream "no talent" critics this Album is not for you, the Bars will cut you to shreds.

I mean, it is only 8 tracks, 2 of them are pre-releases and the album has a run time of 24 minutes, so, can we even call it a full album? Don't get me wrong, the tracks are good, but this album was long overdue and it doesn't feel complete? Like, it could have another two songs and the ending wouldn't be so abrupt? You Never Know ends in such an unsatisfying tone and I'm so mad at it. I like the tracks alone, but they don't fit together to make an album. The lyrics are nothing to write home about, but I didn't expect much when YG DOESN'T LET THE GIRLS WRITE!!!!! So, in conclusion, this felt rushed even when YG had 4 years to do it, but the fans will stream the sh*t out of it, buy a few physical copies, and the terrible management will continue. Expand

This album is the perfect debut album. It showcases their versatility as singers as their voices fit perfectly with every single genre used and it also shows how well they work together as their voices blend with each other in a blissful harmony. The album is a perfect mix of singing and rapping. In many kpop girl groups, the rapper position is unnecessary but that clearly isn't the case with blackpink as both of their rappers have showcased their talent and technique. Apart from that, I really enjoyed how each song is vividly unique. Every song has its own color. I enjoyed all of the songs and I'm even finding it difficult to pick a favorite. I highly recommend this album even to non kpop listeners, I'm sure they will enjoy it. The only disappointment was the number of songs, but hopefully YG Entertainment will release a deluxe album with three or four new songs later. Expand

The Album is so sonically cohesive and truly captivates the meaning of Blackpink. It gives you attitude but with class. They definitely are now at par with the main pop girls. Top songs are Pretty Savage, You Never Know and Love to Hate Me (aside from the official singles). Give us more!! We need a longer album. Blackpink is TRULY the revolution.

album nada inovador, musicas ultrapassadas que parece ter saído de 2010, como o crítico falou ainda bem que só são 8 faixas ninguém aguentaria escutar mais que isso

Their albums are always full of bops, and this album, THE ALBUM, is no exception. This was a perfect album to showcase their sound, though I wish there were more tracks. (I know it is not the girl's fault.)

This Album makes you feel some Women Empowerment. I love it so much. Its just an 8 tracks but the production and how it's composed sounds a high quality songs. They made efforts on each tracks that makes it good. And their title track is so meaningful. It sounds so good. You can feel that even in this album, they put their own emotions that makes it more enjoyable to listen. They killed every genre of the tracks. Expand

"The album" does not try to be innovative or bring a great artistic content, Blackpink bet on its already known formula in the structure of the songs and the sound very generic and close to American pop, a probable attempt to introduce itself in the western market, something reinforced in the lyrics of songs that have more english than conventional k-pop. Blink (fandom name) has been waiting for this full length album for many years and it's finally released it. The album has total of 8 tracks (how you like that, ice cream, pretty savage, bet you wanna, lovesick girls, crazy over you, love to hate me & you never know), all of the songs are truly masterpiece & very enjoyable. Although 8 songs wasn't enough for the full length album but it's still a truly piece of artwork Expand

Crammed chockfull of crowd-pleasing EDM pyrotechnics and cheeky one-liners, The Album is undeniably a product of a well-oiled, state-of-the-art pop machine, but it feels stuck looking back to tried and true trends in both K-pop and Western pop music.

The Album showcases their signature style of blending genres and influences to create songs that are just as classically pop as they are identifiably BLACKPINK.

Overflowing with confidence, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa conquer each track on The Album with their vocal ability (both singing and rapping) and effortless charm, switching up styles to offer something for every type of fan.
