Its entire length feels a lot more like an EP than an album, which wouldn't necessarily a bad thing if all the songs were of an equal quality.     the voices of the girls, jisoo having more lines, jenlisa raps and of course the vocals that miss rosseanne served in this album , makes THE ALBUM an album that was worth all the wait after 4 years

    To have waited so long for Blackpink to release an album and the sings were okay at best? The few standouts I really enjoyed were Pretty Savage (although I wasn't so fond of the lyrics the beat was nice) and Lovesick Girls because the melodies & bridges in those songs were good but the rest fell flat for me.     Some of the sons are really good and have some deep like Love To Hate Me or You Never Know which was a pleasant surprise, however, sadly, most of the songs follow the same formula blackpink have been stuck for years, the similar beats, the similar lyrics. of course it works, that’s why they use that formula so much, the problem is, at some point it becomes tiring.

    generic pop, just the beats changes but lovesick girls is really good, the only song in the whole album i can listen without had a headache.

    The wait was totally worth it. Although short for a full album, I appreciated all the songs. The members have so much chemistry together and we definitely saw an improvement in their artistry. Rosé’s magical voice is the top tier in this album. We already knew she was a talented vocalist but with this album, she’s the one who shined the most. That’s how powerful she is. And funny little note, I love how sometimes her Australian accent comes out. It’s so cute!
    The Queen of Rap is back. Blinks have been *impatiently* waiting for the queen, and when she comes she never disappoints. In terms of female kpop rappers, Jennie is undoubtedly the best one out there. Her rhythm, her tone and her swag are what all wannabe rappers wish they had. But not only does she thrive in rapping, she’s also a wonderful vocalist. Her notes so well done.
    Jisoo’s the one who stood out the most for me in this album. We all know she’s a wonderful vocalist and so under appreciated, but this album she threw me away. Her husky tone voice is so special in makes me feel so at ease every time her part comes out, especially in “You Never Know”. She’s usually the one who has the least lines, but this album we finally saw how great she can be when given an opportunity.
    Now we close with the maknae of the group, miss Lisa. My bias.. she wrecked me. In. Every. Single. Track. There’s something so special about her that many don’t have or wished they had. Her swag is out of this world every time she raps. She and Jennie are definitely the two best female, or should I say, rappers in general. Although I wished to hear more of Vocalist Lisa, the parts she sang were great. And she could even be mistaken as a Lead a vocalist. In conclusion, the wait was long. 4 years to be exact. Do I wish it had more songs? Yeah of course. But am I happy with what we got? HELL YAH. Is this album of year material? HELL YAHHHHHH. The girls outdid themselves with this album and i’m so happy to see them finally getting the recognition they so deserve after some many other fandoms hate targeted them. Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, you guys are awesome so incredibly talented. Cant wait what you have in store for us in the future!    … Expand

    The album is AMAZING, it's very diverse and they really step up their game, every track brings a fresh and exciting flavor to the name blackpink, it's almost like they all could be the title track for this album.

    Amazing first full length album. So much emotion put into one Masterpiece. Each tracks has different raw emotions and each has its own vibes. The Album itself is a BOP with so much Swag. Korean Pop music crossing over to an electro pop, hip hop, and trap with a mix of R & B. Love it!

    This is what we call perfection.Pop mixed with Hip hop and Ballad,it's just the most perfect and flawless album you can get around this time.This is a masterpiece and you won't find a single skips.Every track has its own unique story and they all are superior on its own.I guess maybe this album just saved 2020.Blackpink world domination periodt.
