    3AM’s muted irony dulls the sparkle, leaving the cracks more visible. The album doesn’t have any disastrous lows—but it never quite surpasses that initial dopamine rush, either.

    Fun, naughty, and a little nasty, 3AM stretches the typical party-friendly novelty sound that Confidence Man perfected on their first two albums, showcasing artistic growth with a laser-focused intent to keep your body moving late into the night, when it feels like anything can (and will) happen.

    3AM (La La La) feels like an album to lift Confidence Man up to the next level. As Brat Summer draws to a close, it seems like we’re about to prepare for a 3AM winter, and this will be the soundtrack.
