    Not my favorite Adele album, but it's clear to me now that the singer has liberated herself through her art. There are some great and different songs here, but "To Be Loved" is the real standout.

    I finally had the chance to sit down and listen to Adele’s most recent album, 30. There were a couple of songs that I was particularly blown away by, such as Easy On Me, Can I Get It, and I Drink Wine. Interestingly enough, I found that her best songs tended to sprout from simpler music (soft band or mostly piano/acoustic guitar). That being said, unlike 30’s predecessors, some songs (Oh My God, All Night Parking, etc.) felt a little overproduced (and others a little on the lengthy side), but as a whole this album was pretty solid.

    The work started off with Strangers By Nature, which featured some nice e-piano, very pretty strings, and fun chords. Dynamically this was a very beautiful song and was a really cool way to start an album. Easy On Me was very reminiscent of her previous albums, “21” especially. The piano sounded so sick and the song got even better when the busy bass guitar came in to assist the main instrument. Topping it all off were some great lyrics throughout. My Little Love gave off jazzy vibes, similar to the tone of some “19” songs. Fancy bass is always welcome and the vocal harmonies all sounded good. I appreciated her use of the voice clips, though at times it felt like there was a little too much going on. The far-away effects were awesome and though the string ending was cool, this song was already pretty long without it. To its credit, this song had some powerful and clever lyrics. Cry Your Heart Out was a winner. A fun opening, cool timing, and great lyrics were a recipe for success. All of the instruments fit super well together (especially with the backing vocals), and the bridge had well-done, seamless transitions. Musically, Oh My God was a toe tapper (fantastic kick drum, more groovy bass and splendid backing vocals), though some of the lyrics were a bit hard to decipher. An acoustic guitar start shook things up in Can I Get It, and I loved how much like “Rolling in the Deep” it turned into. The chorus was so sick, along with the transitions. This song had some spot-on production choices and was probably my favorite from the album. I Drink Wine was refreshing with it’s bare piano, and while it was slower it was still a vibe. The lyrics were so powerful (and accompanied by outstanding backing vocals). Additionally, I really enjoyed it when Adele started to belt and the message at the end was great. All Night Parking didn’t seem to completely fit. I did really like the vinyl-sound though I wish she didn’t use the trappy drums. On the brighter side, the backing vocals and lyrics were good, much like the rest of the album. Woman Like Me was another powerful song. I enjoyed the extra reverb on the vocals, the bassless drums in verse two, and the well thought-out lyrics. Other highlights of this song were the simplicity of the music, and the great backing vocals in the final chorus. It took a while for Hold On to pick up, but it began with some strong lyrics. The addition of the e-guitar was nice, along with the whole song being a gradual build. Eventually, the full band sound was great and I really enjoyed every layer within the ending bit of this song. The quiet start of To Be Loved was nice and though it featured many powerful good lyrics, I wish this song was more upbeat; some parts felt a little dragging. The emotion in the final portion was more than welcome however. This song was extremely powerful, it just would have been nice if all of the song was like the ending. Love Is A Game was a great choice for the closer. With its cool string opening, building throughout, and powerful lyrics, this song packed in a lot of punch like its siblings.

    Overall, while 30 doesn’t quite reach the heights of its two predecessors, I would still definitely recommend it. It contains some outstanding songs from Adele and is a wonderful return-album. I really hope that it means that Adele will start to release more albums more often. It’s also relieving to learn that she sticks to her winning formula a bit without conforming to the musical trends of today. Adele fans should dig this album, along with some other lovers of music as there are some extremely good songs in this release. Highlights: Strangers By Nature, Easy On Me, Cry Your Heart Out, Can I Get It, I Drink Wine, Woman Like Me, and Love Is A Game.    … Expand

    I think 30 is less satisfied than 21,25.
    I don't like soliloquy content in the album.
    But, besides easy on me "can i get it？” is the only song I can get.

    Oh My God, Can I Get It and Woman Like Me could easily not be part of the album. Those 3 songs are annoying as hell, the rest is just masterpieces. Get My Love and Hold On should be singles

    Even though songs like "Can I Get It" or "I Drink Wine" seem discordant and you miss an "Adele classic" like "Rolling in the Deep" or "Someone Like You", "30" is a well-considered progression and after six years of silence, Adele is back. 8 out of 10.

    Interesting theme and style but the lyrics are not as strong those of 21. I need another densely written song like Rolling In The Deep/Rumour Has It/Someone Like You.

    out of all the songs i connected to 'to be loved' and obviously 'easy on me'.
    Still love her though.

    This heartbreak coming during her most transitional age 30,one that signifies the crux of adulthood and the age of definitive change, things present throughout this record's maturity. There are no fingers pointed (unless sometimes to herself) and she navigates the fine line between acknowledgement &self depreciation.

    A lot has happened to Adele in overwhelmingly short periods from her debut to her breakthrough to her marriage and motherhood and now to her breakdown framed through the lense of a shifting paradigm. Her divorce is a supporting character in this record showing up for a few scenes and disappearing for a few songs giving the album space to breathe.
    The intro begins with an almost camp dramatic couplet set to the most uncharacteristically Adele sounding production. We know that she is taking stock of herself, saying goodbye to moment's past. "Strangers by nature" feels like an astronaut setting foot on an alien planet light years away after waking up from hibernation:scared but aware of the fact they can't go back and this strange world would be their new normal.
    Epiphanies like that spot the record and probably prompted her strength to leave that nuclear world she'd tried to build.

    Following that the record breaking single that despite having been underwhelming as a lead is a necessary component in the records process. She is not asking for pity but that they be understanding of her story. "Easy on Me" can be applied to Adele, her son or her ex- husband. It's the first revealing song in an album filled to the brim with them reaching a breaking point when she gives up on biting the bullet to put them first.

    "My little love " sequels "Remedy" off of 25 but here is set to black. Sounding more somber both musically &lyrically. It's scenes between the despondent depression clouding Adele and Angelo's innocent confusion and fear make this a poignant conversation most products of divorce could remember feeling or having. The addition of the private voice recordings don't ruin the songs momentum elevating it to new highs on Adele's consistent discography.

    Like in all encompassing grief comes few moments of reprieve that while still in it find buoyancy in a more cathartic release,this is the case in "cry your heart out". Even beginning with the chorus seems significant to seeking out the best part first when in the thick of it and here despite the deceptively upbeat delivery she's a ghost cosplaying as a person. She is using an old map to find herself on new terrain coming to a black wall ("i created this storm it's only fair i have to sit in it ")but that only lasts so long before the recovering "oh my god" stomps in. She's losing herself in other people she's finding excitement in the release but under tge condition it must be able to be love again. Here she's almost fed up saying how she's made her choices abd that she doesn't need to justify them to us(the public) it's one of the most outrageously pop moments on here which turn into a pray for strength during the bridge.

    "Can i get it" is so fun despite the subject matter being so frustrating. She's looking for a relationship whilst the single world around her is looking for fun. It's funny how the song is built up by these genuine heartfelt wishes only to crash against a plea to fuk. It's a sobering moment for Adele to realize that love as difficult as it is to sustain is just as difficult as it is to find . No one is serious. This calls on the black current as a glass is half empty on the "I drink wine". Performed in her special we were given a taste of just how grown this record was but on the studio version it's severe. Touched by church sent choral backing vocals her crisis feels religious. Her loss so important. It's a sensitive Elton John-esque monologue that feels shorter than it's runtime suggest. A full composition not too out of place in a opera. It's mournful but glad it's moving past it to something else.    … Expand

    Adele's newest album 30 is seem fine. 12 tracks aren't acceptable for a comeback. Her album seems a bit bland compared to her previous albums (21 & 25).

    Next two ones rounds around high alteration of Adele's voice. "Cry Your Heart Out" starts with it and its chorus are full of it, but it picks up later to be really engaging listening experience. "Oh My God" is sucha groovy song, with even better use of vocal pitch. And those high notes in background. Gorgeous! Begining with guitar riff, we have next entry of that cool songs string with "Can I Get It". However, just like "Cry Your Heart Out", here is another let-down: the song's verses are amazing, but instead of booming chorus you have a slowdown with some whispers. Plus, the production sounds like something done by P!nk last decade. Going back to more piano-oriented sounds, we have "I Drink Wine". Sounds like happier "Easy on Me" to me.
    On "All Night Parking" we can here different approach to the instruments than on other tracks, that includes Adele's vocals. Cool track! The following track, "Woman Like Me", is pretty dope background music. Subtle instrumental and not-to-the-top vocals. "Hold On" first section, which is featured later in the mix, sounds like a demo of the song, not something finished. The song fails to hold on my attention for the first half, and turns out to be a boring elevator music which happens to have a cool second half. Another "Happier Than Ever" situation I assume. "To Be Loved" is actually a boring shlock of music. Just like an album opener, the closer, "Love is a Game" tries to be cinematic with the opening string notes. It goes better, hence the song features more lush instrumentation and different tone. And it doesn't only goes into cinematic direction, it is also a mix of Christmas and 80s sounds.
    Album seems to be classical with some modern touches. I'm not a fan of such music, but still this album prooved me, that kind of music can be not boring. The biggest let-downs of this album are too long tracks and too much spoken words spread throught it. (And maybe too much classical arrangment?) "Easy on Me", "Oh My God" and "All Night Parking" are definitely my favorites.    … Expand

    Having listened to this twice I'm so disappointed that it has not lived up to 25. There's about 4 tracks that feel like filler which is good but 25 had all killer no filler tracks for me. I will give props to incredible vocals, the modern production and the use of voice memos in the likes of my little love but overall the build up to the release means i am overall disappointed.     I’ve always known Adele made good music but I never bothered to check her discography. I thought her new album would be a good place to start and I was not disappointed. The album has so many good songs. I decided to rate it a 7 because there are two or three songs that I just get bored of halfway through. The album definitely has a lot of highs but has a few skips too.

    mediocre album compared to her past great albums; only a few of the songs are decent while the rest are just fillers. one song where she is complaining about her past husband was fun but other than that its really not of the high Adele standards that people have come to expect.

    I love Adele and I definitly understand the concept of the album, the production is not bad, some songs feel too much like 19 but longer And that Is not bad but I feel like I Heard this many times before.

    Adele made a diary, of herself and to herself. The album is so personal that it gets very hard do connect with it. Besides, the songs lack criativity and appeal, turning boring somehow.

Another very strange thing is that Adele decided to sing songs like I drink wine, Easy on me, Hold on and Love is game to promote the album, which after listening to the whole album do not represent the sound of the album, which at times reminds me of Jorja Smith (All night parking), Celeste (My little love), Amy Winehouse (Cry your heart out), Yebba Smith (Oh my God), Whitney Houston (To be loved) and Sade (Woman like me) and a song from a cheap pop rockish band (Can I get it) that is probably the worst song in the album totally unnecessary. As for the lyrics, Adele knows what she's doing, and a couple of clichés won't ruin this album. Sometimes I can listen some sounds that you can find in “19” her first album which is nice.

    Not exactly the album I was expecting for a divorce album. I was getting ready to cry but instead I danced. Probably I misunderstood the kind of “divorce” she was talking about, maybe she is another Adele now.

    This time won’t be big singles, I couldn’t find another “Rolling in The Deep” or a “Someone like you” or a “Hello” but Adele sells anyway but only time will tell if the album is memorable enough or not.

    Adele is a great singer and writer, but... my problem with this album is that I find it "overrated". It can be said that the musical evolution is not only in lyrics but also in rhythms, and I think I've heard similarities in terms of sounds in their latest works. I'm sorry but this album leaves me unsatisfied, I expected something different.

Like, some of the more neo-soul and trad-pop influenced tracks on here absolutely blew me away. Adele's pengame has gotten much better since 25 as well. It's 1 AM rn so I can't formulate my thoughts but Love Is A Game is probably going to end up beingOk, so I might actually do a full review on this because this is, if you take away a few duds in the tracklist, Adele at her absolute best. With the release of its first single, “Easy on Me”, I was already in a position to be worried about the album, but the more I listened to this particular song, the more I liked it, so I had hope. My biggest worry from “Easy on Me” is that 30 would have too similar of a sound to her previous albums, but, now having listened to 30 in its entirety, know thatThis album was unimpressive to me. I struggled with 2 major things: I felt like several songs were unnecessarily long and the style she played with did not suit the nature and cadence of her voice.     While Adele has changed her sound a little this time around, it gets tiring after a while to listen to the same heartbreak songs and sadness three albums in a row. It's sad that she doesn't challange herself to write about other themes and topics, I mean the world just has a pandemic, and here we are again, singing about failed relationships.

    I don’t think she carried jazz & blues well. Only ‘Easy on Me’ & ‘To Be Loved’ are the tracks that feel the classic Adele. She more suitable to pop instead of other genres.

    3rd time through and I’m really hooding it will grow on me! Waiting for my vinyl to arrive, maybe it will hit different on the spin. I want to love it, there are a few songs I like but I keep zoning out. All respect and well done. Hoping it grows on me.

You could argue that the whole album is cohesive and that’s a plus but not when its a cohesive collection of bad songs. 10/12 songs are bad. Not her best lyrics either. When you sit down and compare to her previous work, the production, the message, and the lyrics just fall short.     After her last two albums I expected so much for her lyrically and this is un-relatable for me. Therefore I’ll never listen to it again. Cool she’s still using real instrumentation though . Other artists need to take note on that front.

    Boring and unoriginal, sonically bland, almost nothing distinctive, one song sounds like ed Sheeran wrote it which is not a compliment and the last 4 or so tracks sound like the music was taken of one of those low fi beats to study to playlists, embarrassed for everyone buying into the hype

    While listening to new Adele music is great, this album feels rush, incomplete and at point boring. The experiment with new sounds fr her is promising but the combination of that and common lyrics for Adele just does not click with me, there is no hit in this album.

    This is definetely the worst album she ever put out. In my opinion there is only 1 good song which and it is 'easy on me'. The rest is pure garbage. She should have just put out a single instead of this boring album with mediocre lyrics and stupid back ground people who repeat the words of adele in a stupid way.

    Despite her albums being snapshots, sometimes a little more diversity in subject matter would be a good thing. Ultimately, while some intriguing risks have been taken, 30 is probably the weakest, as well as conversely the most intimate and in many ways bravest, Adele album to date.
