Muitas coisas me incomodaram nesse filme, era melhor que continuasse com a pegada de amizade entre os três jovens que dá início à produção, mas o roteiro meio perdido acaba por abandoná-los, na tentativa de humanizar os personagens, inserindo-os no contexto da vida, e a partir daí umMuitas coisas me incomodaram nesse filme, era melhor que continuasse com a pegada de amizade entre os três jovens que dá início à produção, mas o roteiro meio perdido acaba por abandoná-los, na tentativa de humanizar os personagens, inserindo-os no contexto da vida, e a partir daí um amontoado de clichês do gênero sobre filmes que discutem a sobrevivência humana nas cidades, com direito a doenças, despejos, dificuldade financeira e esperança.
Ao deslocar o eixo para a família de um dos garotos, somos jogados num emaranhado de dificuldades. para completar, os personagens são irritantes, a exemplo do pai, que sofre de diabete mas se recusa a fazer o tratamento. E com isso sofre graves consequências.
O prédio que dá título ao filme é o sinônimo de resistência para as famílias afetadas por projetos que põe em cheque sua moradia. Assim, o filme até funciona como retrato de época e como registro. No entanto, é muito pouco.
Lotado de cenas vazias e lentas, com um trabalho de edição seria possível encurtar uns 20 minutos de filme, mas restaria a prova de que o roteiro é bem vazio. Mesmo os sonhos dos meninos, que é algo interessante a se explorar, soou episódico e frio. Tanto que ao reencontrar amigos num campinho de futebol no final do filme, parece que a obra ganha um brilho não aproveitado, é como se grande potencial fosse desperdiçado para mostrar cenas onde nada acontece numa família particularmente chata. Seria proposital para demonstrar o quanto a classe desfavorecida, nessa visão elitista, seria desinteressante?
O fato é que o filme tenta pegar qualquer apelo emocional e transforma tudo em uma colcha de retalhos, e esquece do principal, o edifício que dá título ao filme, retomando-o na cena final de demolição.
É um filme no geral chato, lento e sem graça, que parece ter mais de duas horas de direção, narrando o drama pela sobrevivência urbana já visto em inúmeras obras do cinema, pecando na tentativa de transformar todo plano em algo melancólico para reforçar o drama, pois na verdade, acertou em transformar os planos em melancolia, mas reforçou a sua chatice mesmo.… Expand
