Toy Story is Pixar's animated film. Animation may seem outdated today, but at the time it was a real shift in the history of animated films. It's no secret this movie revolutionized the animation industry. Taking that away, you're left with an above-average movie with really good voice acting, story, heart, and everything in-between. Toy Story is a delight from beginning to endIt's no secret this movie revolutionized the animation industry. Taking that away, you're left with an above-average movie with really good voice acting, story, heart, and everything in-between. Toy Story is a delight from beginning to end and the characters are very well-realized. Woody could have been an unlikeable jerk in this movie but thank goodness he wasn't because it saved PIXAR. If Woody was in anyway unrelatable or unredeemable, PIXAR would not be the successful studio we have today. The music is also very good in this movie; Randy Newman did a fabulous job with the score and songs. Personally, Randy Newman is my favorite PIXAR composer. Overall, Toy Story is a great movie that also happened to be a ground-breaking movie for the animation industry.… Expand

When you think of a modern classic animation feel good movie, I think it is safe to say that this always comes to mind or pops up in conversation at least. The movie that made Pixar what it is today and even after 15+ Years, STILL holds up. No film has yet come close to Toy Story in legitimizing animation as a film art on the level of movies with live actors. Great comedies are hard to come by - Toy Story strikes gold on that basis alone, but it is so much more. One of those animated movies that I grew up with, and to this day it's still fantastic. It's filled with action and humor, the pacing is great, and the characters are very likeable. This movie will be remembered as one of Disney's greatests for sure.

As the world's first fully 3D animated film, it has aged very well, both visually and story-wise. i do however find 2 and 3 to be better than this just because I prefer their more diverse stories and characters, but this is still a very good movie.

This was the first ever fully CGI animated movie, and it still holds up to this day! Also the first Pixar movie and still one of their best! The story is very well written and the concept of toys who come to life when their owner is not around was done perfectly. There were many great characters, of course the best ones being Woody and Buzz Lightyear. They were casted well too especially Tom Hanks as Woody. The relationship between Woody and Buzz shows great character development, with them being rivals at first but then later they become friends. The film is great for people of all ages, with many parts that everyone including the adults can have a good laugh at. This film is so good that John Lasseter won a special achievement award at the Oscars. It is an instant classic and should be considered one of the biggest movies of all time.… Expand

Woody and Buzz’s dynamic was never as entertaining again as it was here, and as great as the sequels are it’s the one thing they all unfortunately lack. And while the animation is clearly dated in many respects, the textures and lighting make the world feel completely tangible. Seeing this in 4K really helped me appreciate the little details. Pixar’s first is still one of their finest. Masterpiece.… Expand

Toy Story is a whimsical, hilarious, heartfelt story with an incredible display of brand new technology. I found myself laughing out loud much more than I thought I would, and the sheer creativity on display is astounding. My kids really like this movie, and I wonder why they are so in linking to this movie, so once I sat with them and watched "toy story". I started liking to watch toy story, it is a really good movie, everyone should watch it once.

This movie is such a classic for a reason!

The jokes are very good and still make me laugh, the story is surprisingly good for a kids movie made in 1995 and the animation holds up surprisingly better than I thought it would especially sinceThis movie is such a classic for a reason!

A true landmark in animation history and a major masterpiece, especially for 1995 standards. It's sad to say that they don't really ever make movies like this anymore. True 10/10. Fantastic start to Pixar's film production. And truly one of the best.
