Where does creativity come from? And how do the lucky few who are touched by it make it last? Can they? Touched with Fire isn't a perfect study of the question, and it can't really provide a complete answer, probably because there isn't one. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. We're often told love is a form of madness.. BPD are like people with third degree burns over 90% of their bodies. Lacking emotional skin, they feel agony at the slightest touch or movement.Having Borderline feels like eternal Hell. Never knowing how they going to feel from one minute to the next. Hurting because they hurt those people who they love.It is hard to be accused of manipulation when really it's a scream for love Belive me its hard to be in love with a persson with BPD there are able to instantly drop all their feelings for somebody who meant the world to them moments before..belive me ..i can relate..i have been there . They crush your insides every time with cruel words and behavior .. but you know deep down they love you.. more than anyone elese have ever loved you ..… Expand

Katie Holmes give the performance of her LIFE. I was really impressed. With the movie not that much but it is still good. I just thought some of the metaphors were heavy handed and the editing was a bit all over the place at times. A movie about a young poet (Katie Holmes) suffering from bipolar disorder sounds sufficiently complex. Toss in a 2nd tortured bipolar poet (Luke Kirby), who she meets at a treatment facility. And there are some interesting moments (plus a few unoriginal flights of imagination). The reality is that it's slow-moving and self-indulgent. The leads are competent, but never really break out or break our hearts. The dispassionate direction and repetitive screenplay don't add much value. Ultimately it becomes an informational assessment of bipolar disorder stuffed into a mediocre romantic drama.… Expand
