example: CASUALLY Jane discover a small portal that CASUALLY lead to the Aither that CASUALLY is the thing that Malekith want and CASUALLY she is the gf of Thor that is CASUALLY nephew of Bor who stopped Malekith...I should write 2000 lines of **** of this movie but I'll end like this: GARBAGE and offense to the intellect

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Dark World is a textbook example of the “sequel is worse” trap. The action, dialogue, humor and story are all major letdowns from its predecessor. This movie also has the unconvincing and lackluster villain problem, as Malekith is underwhelming and doesn’t add much to the film. It feels as though he there mostly because the movie needed an antagonist and he was just thrown in there, and he doesn’t add much emotion to the movie and overall feels bland as a villain. The script tries to overcome this at a few points but fails to do so. Stellan Skarsgard is done very dirty in this movie with his character becoming a sort of “crazy person”; this again adds little to the movie and is unnecessary. The actors do their best with their roles, but the chemistry isn’t really there for the most part making the movie fairly boring. There are only two things about this movie that are worth watching it for: the interactions between Hemsworth and Hiddleston and the intro of the reality stone. Hemsworth and Hiddleston carry this film from start to finish and have a few nice and emotional moments, and the reality stone helps to further along the MCU storyline, giving viewers a legitimate reason to see this film. Other than that, Dark World is a huge letdown from its predecessor and remains today likely the worst movie released in the MCU. Expand

A few years ago, I decided to catch up and see the movies I'd missed before Captain America: Civil War. After the first half of the movie passed, I realized I'd already seen the movie, and neither half of the movie was good.

The antagonist is bland. The stakes are either boring (the end of all worlds), or things the story obviously isn't brave enough to follow through with (Jane Foster in danger, the end of all worlds). The action scenes are uninteresting, and lack the personal choreography of Captain America, or the creativity of Ant-Man's or Doctor Strange's scenes, or the flashy coolness of Iron Man's scenes. They throw actors and cars with wires and then CG in stabby blobs.

Thank the lord that Ragnarok gave the series a personality.

The worst MCU movie so far. The only acceptable thing are the VFX and Tom Hiddleston. A very awful and forgettable villain in a predictable and boring plot.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.
