This movie was good but I would have liked to seen more explanation of what was going on in her head rather than just all those disapproving facial expressions, leaving it up for interpretation as to what she was feeling.

The Queen is a powerful historical drama that beautifully demonstrates the power of friendship through an outstanding performance by Helen Mirren. She definitely deserved her win for Best Actress.

The movie's shallow depth, uninteresting story and frankly bad editing make for a dull and downright boring film. Helen Mirren's performance was solid but nothing to jump up and down about.

Perfect movie. Almost all the motion pictures show the point of view of other people, this one shows how Elizabeth II felt at those moments. And I think Mirrer won that Academy Award for an actual & incredible performance.

A great modern period piece featuring a virtuoso performance from Helen Mirren. I think I would have liked it even more if I were from the UK, but really good film nonetheless.

This is an intelligent film. Helen Mirren really took you inside the thoughts and emotions of the queen. Very well made and was quite a history lesson. Intriguing to see everyone's sides to the story.

Mesmerizing potrait. Beautifully filmed, great script and charismatic performance by its two leads, Hellen Mirren as Queen Elizabeth II and electrifying Michael Seen as Tony Blair.

You can't argue that Hellen Mirren performance wasn't top notch but the film was dull and never really caught my interest. Didn't care about Diana's death then (sad she died but I would be sad if anyone died) and don't care now either.

Hellen Mirren is stunning. I´ve never seen such a natural as well as deep interpretation, so delicate, balanced...just gorgeous.

Immensely boring. I can't understand how anyone's attention could be held for the 104 minutes of this movie. Sentimental pap. Helen Mirren can't save this dull, dire, dirge.

Some movies seem to exist simply in order to win awards. This i feel is one of those movies, and while i did think it did a good job showing why she responded the way she did it did not keep me interested.

Excellent on all levels. I enjoyed it, was amused and I was touched by all of the characters and not just The Queen. Everyone did a magnificent job with a very difficult subject.

A really boring film. Made for cardboard Brits. Not at all entertaining - I feel asleep 3 or 4 times and then turned it off. I won't be going back.

"The Queen" shows that in today's film industry there are still intelligent people who make intelligent motion pictures for intelligent audiences.

This movie did a great job portraying the main events in the Diana tragedy. It has great acting and has both comedy and adds in the true problems that occurred. Overall it is very good.

Brilliant emotional drama depicting the life behind the scenes and complex feelings of the English Queen and the royal family in the months following the death of princess Diana. Got Oscar.

I was very excited about seeing this movie because it had gotten such good reviews, but I was disappointed. The acting was great, some parts were great, but it took a lot of energy for me to not fall asleep.

The screenplay is dreadful. Helen Mirren is grossly overrated. It's really an embarrasing movie. Should have been on Lifetime channel. All characters are chariactures and totally unbelievable. Not the true story surrounding anyone.

Fascinating. Stephen Frears and Helen Mirren deliver yet again. Michael Sheen is probably a better Tony Blair than Tony Blair.

The only reason to see this film is to watch Helen Mirren's performance. Other than that it might just as well have been made for a TV audience.

Performances were great, but there just isn't much there to keep your interest. The entire 90 minutes is summed up in one line near the end and you are wondering why you just had to watch all that time to get that one idea.

It was interesting, and the acting was great. However, it's not at all applicable, and the situation that the queen finds herself in couldn't be more insignificant in the real world. How can I relate to these people?

Boring film, Kate Winslet ('Little Children'), Meryl Streep ('The Devil Wears Prada') or Penelope Cruz ('Volver') are much better than Mirren.

I kept falling asleep during this movie. While the acting was very good, there was nothing that I did not know about this story that was revealed in the movie. Just the same story. I was somewhat bored.

Best film I have seen in years. Captivating from the start. One can easily determine this picture was written from the head and heart in equal parts. Very well done indeed. Tony Blair is still a bit of a tosser.

A fine choice for TV, or for rental, especially for Royal gawkers. But as a theatre movie, it's no more than "a nice job". Put this against The Insider, or a good Bogart film, and you see how limited this flick really is.

Outstanding film. The score is dead on. I love the portrayal of Tony Blair - if true, it restores my faith in liberal thought. And damn, Helen Mirren is hot!!

I am amazed by the adulatory critics' reviews. Helen Mirren does a great job, of course, but she cannot single-handedly save the film. The screenplay is clumsy and the characters are all caricatures.

Stephen Frears does not seem to make a bad movie. Solid, interesting, has plenty of meat on its bones. Gross caricatures of Philip and Charles, but still a quality job far more memorable than most pictures.
