Hilarious. Action packed. Emotionally charged. Best DC film since the dark knight. A fresh super hero experience that was desperately needed to contrast the cookie cutter MCU. See it twice!

Is it perfect? no, but I loved it regardless. 9/10 for me, if you didn't like this, just stop going to see DC movies, I feel like it means you just don't like DC. I don't understand how did people hate this. It's fun, joyous and ten across the board. It did a great way of adapting the FlashPoint story to the theaters, sadly, in a time where, well, there's not going to be more this universe. It's unhappily, but joyously, a great way of finishing the DC Universe. I just hope James Gunn understands that he can't go with the Marvel formula (that one that got bad after its story finished) and that DC has its uniqueness in storytelling. No, i'm sorry, we don't need 30 origin stories before we get to Darkseid or whatever. I'd be more than happy to just watch my favorite superheroes fighting crime. Expand

I loved every minute and am so glad I got to see Keaton as Batman on the big screen after having grown up watching Batman/Returns over and over again. The fact that it is only a 5.9 at the moment of this writing is truly mind boggling and I almost feel like some people clearly saw a different movie than I did. It's truly a shame Miller lost his mind because he made a truly unique Barry Allen that still felt Authentically Barry Allen.

Also I'm not sure why people are complaining about CGI when it was clearly intended to be stylized. Some of the VFX were shaky but the majority of the CGI was not "bad" it was clearly designed with a certain look in mind.

Aside from CGi issues, I don't see any problems with this movie.
Running time and the whole plot are both executed nicely.

It is easily the best DCEU movie after Snyder Cut, and also possibly the best CBM after No Way Home/Endgame.

It has so many references/throwbacks to those important DCEU movies. Makes you feel like MoS, BvS, ZSJL, WW, Aquaman and The Flash are all closely connected.

At least we have this one connected saga before they wipe everything with the upcoming reboot...

.

Pontos positivos:
- O Barry e a mãe dele me fizeram chorar demais

I've already enjoyed about 5 seasons of TV's FLASH, which means I've already gone thru a FLASHPOINT story and didn't need another. The lead actor's real life antics totally made seeing this a non-starter. Not to mention the fact that the new people running DC movies have completely abandoned this universe -- and so THE TRASH D.O.A.

WRONG. (There, I admitted it.) Completely wrong. I really didn't find the Chris Nolan Batman's that great and so THE FLASH is now my 3rd favorite DC hero film ever, behind Reeve's SUPERMAN and the 1st WONDER WOMAN. I know, you think I'm crazy. Nolan Fanatics aside I'm tell you this movie is fun and funny, mostly the latter. I simply will see this again with a big smile on my face the second time. Despite everything going against it --

-- it delivers plenty. And at it's length how could it not? Don't sit and see this in one sitting. I recommended breaking it up with a leisurely dinner.

Mythic in all the best ways (love you, Supergirl). Tragic in all the right places. Plenty of humor to balance the myth and the tragedy. I'm a VFX-CGI fan, saw it on a regular big screen sitting up front; I didn't notice any bad VFX (way better overall VFX results than Quantumania). Time travel is represented more clearly and graphically than in many time travel films. I was no more confused than in any other time travel film, mostly less. Ezra is a strong and effective lead, a rarity in such films. The finale has genuine pathos. In comparison, Guardians of Galaxy 3 is merely a tear-jerker. Expand

Yes there's some bad CGI. Obviously the studio didn't want to spend the money on a movie they weren't sure they should even release.
Regardless of all that, this is amongst the best the superhero genre has produced in the past 30+ years and is better than anything Disney has yet achieved in the genre by some margin.

It's actually a pretty good movie and one of the better DC movies that have come out in recent years all the actors were great and while I may not like Ezra Miller as a person, they basically 2 different characters which is impressive.

while there were some Cameos, they weren't really important besides Keaton and there weren't enough for this to be an Easter Egg hunt movie like a few other movies have done.

while a lot of recent superhero movies have been overly focusing on the Comedy and not enough on the Drama this movie, I think found a good balance between the two.

Let's Get Nuts, goddamn right this movie is nuts, The Flash was a fresher and definitely the best movie in this three weeks of big major releases (Across The Spider-Verse and Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts), The Flash is another impressive and exciting takes on the Multiverse which are the thing that they loved to make right now, Ezra Miller outside of his real life behavior, man he is a damn good actor, he really is, it's not easy to play two roles at the same time and he nailed it perfectly, the rest of the cast including of course the one and only Michael Keaton returning as Batman and man did he still got it, Sasha Calle performance and appearance was really pleasant, the action are solid, the score are solid, it was a well written story, well written dialogue, and it's surprisingly funny, the comedy is mostly work, and the rest of the cast was also great, it's an engaging story with a very good character study, the special effects are great and talking about special effects it was in a way also the major problem i have with the movie, which is the CGI on literally every human in this movie, it was too CGI, it's too animated, it looks too plasticky and too jelly, it wasn't great, and i'm hoping it's gonna improve but it's literally the whole movie that the the CGI on the human was just too animated, if it's intentional then i'm still much prefer if they make it more realistic, and besides couple of slow scene and some decisions, overall The Flash was still an incredible journey, a wild trippy adventure with good dark serious theme and story, impressive effects, action, and some amazing performances, it's a pretty exciting experience in one great movie, The Flash is one of the best films of the year, and at last all i can say about the surprises was that it was mostly worth it, all the cameos was great but there is this one jaw dropping long sequence that are just NUTS!, and that is all i can say, go watch The Flash, if you can only choose one between the three i'll say pick The Flash, it's more than worth it. This was a fun movie. I liked Ezra’s humour and having lost my mum at an early age, I found this story relatable on that personal level.

I'm surprised by the bad reviews from some people who are some fans of the Marvel universe, really I even saw a score of 1/10 for this film, and I wonder why they hate this film so much, is it because they hate Ezra or CGI but I don't know 1/10 hey not even a C grade movie deserves such a low score you think they make a 1 dollar movie and a cell phone camera this movie isn't as bad as the critics reviews it's a really fun movie two hours was less for me i really enjoyed it and the cameo was really shocking, keaton was right really really cool here, ezra plays the role very well, and sasha calle which he is also good. Some of the action is really stunning with dark flash as the main villain is not boring to watch. The moral message of this film is also very deep about giving up something and moving on moving forward oh my gosh I cried when barry met his mother that was very touching. The drawback is of course the visual effects especially in the final half, which really needs to be improved especially the fight on a large scale. only, but very influential with the development of his character. Overall this is a good film, almost better than Spiderman no way home, don't mind what critics say, just enjoy the film, you won't regret it
my score is 9/10

The storyline of the film was fast-paced, keeping me on the edge of my seat throughout.
Beyond the action-packed sequences, Ezra Miller also delves into the emotional core of Barry Allen. He brings a sense of depth and complexity to the character, exploring the traumas and personal struggles that have shaped him.
Visually, Affleck's Batman remained as impressive as ever. The action sequences featuring Batman were intense and thrilling, with Affleck effortlessly portraying the character's physical prowess and tactical brilliance.
Keaton's return to the role was nothing short of extraordinary, and his presence in the film added a layer of depth and nostalgia that fans of the Dark Knight will truly appreciate.
Sasha Calle brought a fresh and vibrant energy to Supergirl, embodying the character's sense of hope and optimism. Her performance was heartfelt, showcasing Supergirl's strong moral compass and her desire to protect and inspire those around her. Andy Muschietti skillfully weaves together thrilling action sequences with poignant character development, allowing the story to unfold in a way that is both exciting and emotionally satisfying.

9,5/10 Expand

After an upbeat hospital rescue sequence, he "speeds" back in time, which causes ripples for everyone. There is a villain, Kryptonian General Zod who wants to destroy Earth (yawn), but this movie is really about Miller's character, or actually 2 characters (I'll leave the movie to explain). His mildly awkward, off-beat charm creates 2 versions of himself that play enjoyably off each other. There are a few of the usual action scenes with additional superheroes. The fights are fast, obviously, and the effects are decent. Batman is cast as his friend, so that gives Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck a chance to revive their roles from the previous films. Even at 2.5 hours, this never drags and even manages to present a DC film that's funny and fun. NOTE: Stay thru all those credits for yet another DC character to have a comic moment. Expand

Two Ezra’s is definitely as annoying as you’d expect. The longer hair one eventually becomes tolerable but it takes half the movie.
Spoiler Warning: Michael Keaton and Sasha Calle steal the show but by the end it is a little disappointing how ether were used.
Andy Muschietti is a fine director but unfortunately it’s more of the Muschietti who did IT Chapter 2, than the one who did Chapter 1. So there’s a combination of goofiness, drama, some dark moments and back to goofy again.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. E-Value: 8
Acting: 8
Plot: 8

After being stuck in developement hell for seven years ranging from change of directors and writers numerous times because of creative differences to COVID-19 pandemic, the thirteenth instalment of DC Extended Universe finally arrived on the big screen and featuring the return of Michael Keaton as Batman along with another version of Supergirl (Calle), which the character have not been seen on the big screen since the terrible 1984’s Supergirl.

After helping Batman and Wonder Woman stop a robbery led by Alberto Falcone in Gotham City, Barry Allen/The Flash (Miller) revisit his childhood home where he remembered his father, Henry Allen, was arrested by the police for allegedly murdering his mother, Nora Allen, which he strongly believed that he did not committed the crime but he have no successes so far to prove his innocence. Overcome by his emotions, he unintentionally use Speed Force to time travel back to one day earlier.

Realising that he can change the past using Speed Force, he told Bruce Wayne about it and how he can use the power to alter the past to save his mother and prevent his father from going to prison but the latter warn him not to do that because changing the past can have unintended consequences. Despite being warned, he choose to change the past and he got knock off by an unknown dark figure where he end up in a timeline where his mother is alive and his father is not in prison.

In the timeline where he is in right now, The Flash encounter his younger self which the former help him gain his power but end up losing his. To make things worse, General Zod (played by Michael Shannon) is alive and trying to find what appears to be Superman while there are no superheroes in this timeline except Batman. Both of them seek him out only to find that the Bruce Wayne/Batman (Keaton) is not the one The Flash knew. Together, the three of them locate the Kryptonian to aid in their battle against General Zod and for The Flash to find a way to restore the entire timelines back to its original state.

While the movie is not a 100% adaptation of the comic book, Flashpoint, the movie still retain the core parts of the storyline. As a loose adaptation, the idea of bringing Michael Keaton back as Batman is one of the good thing as it’s not just for nostalgia purpose but also give him a send-off to this version of Batman because his story arc was never finished back then. The use of two Barry Allens which both are played by Ezra Miller is creative and impressive instead of using another actor for the other Barry Allen. As the movie touches the multiverse, there are some cameos from past DC movies especially there is one character I really did not expect to show up in the movie at all. Thankfully, these cameos are not being overused or else the movie would have ended up like 2021’s Space Jam: A New Legacy. The movie puts more efforts on character developments for The Flash and Keaton’s Batman which is the right thing to do.

The cast in this movie did a great job in their performance especially Ezra and Keaton. The former did an amazing performance portraying two of the same character with different personality which are the main version as an experience and mature character and the other one as a inexperience and immature character. It’s not really easy to portrayed two different personality of the same character at the same time but Ezra did pulled it off without problem. As for the latter, Keaton still got the charm and have not lost his touch after many years of not playing the character. The original Batman theme also helped give out the vibes of nostalgia on the big screen especially if you have watched 1989’s Batman and 1992’s Batman Returns. Ben Affleck also did a great job as Batman for the last time despite being a short screentime and he seems much more relaxed in the role than his previous appearances.

However, the movie have some bad things. The CGIs is not very good as it looks outdated, obvious and rushed. With all the delays, the visual artists should have used those times to polish the CGIs but if they actually did, they have done a poor job. On the other hand, Sasha Calle’s Supergirl did not really have much character development and she only shows up near the end of the second act in the movie. Despite that, she still did a great job considering this is her first acting debut in a feature film which I find it not bad. I would love to see her playing as a different version of Supergirl in the upcoming DC Universe if she is given the opportunity.

While not the best movie but given the circumstances with all the delays, props to Andy Muschietti for not only making The Flash a good and watchable movie but pulled the movie out of developement hell. He saved the movie from being a disaster. If you are fans of The Flash, then you should give this movie a try. There is post-credits scene but it’s just a funny scene and you can skip it if you want.

Beforehand I am going to make it clear that I will be reviewing the movie and not Ezra Miller and the actions he had done in the past.

So this was one of my most hyped movies ever. Loved all the flash comics waited years and years for this so yeah I was very excited. While some areas made me happy some did not but in the end it was a great movie.

The plot was well done. It was a well-written story, with less no.of plot holes compared to other CBMs to come out nowadays. The comedy scenes in the movie along with emotion were very very surprising and something that many CBMs too have been lacking nowadays. Flash has always been a comedic character and seeing Younger barry having that comedy sense was great. It was also good to see present barry more matured compared to the justice league while keeping the comedic sense which was nice. Micheal Keaton's Batman and Sasha Calle's Supergirl both killed their roles. Keaton Batman was very very well done and written however Calles Supergirl felt a bit underbaked and underused. They should have used her a bit more and expanded her arc rather than just being there for the final fight. Batfleck got a perfect send off except that his suit looked well horrendous. Zod and others too were fine for the small part they had. However, something great was the entire cast killed their part. Keaton was brilliant, Calle was amazing for her limited role and Miller was surprisingly incredible? His acting in the scene where he tells that younger Barry was incredible and one of my favorite scenes in the entire movie. The pacing of the movie however was mixed. Some parts were well paced while the others were eh. The inconsistency in pacing was a minor issue. The emotion part of the movie was incredible. The final scene with Barry and his mother was just so well done, it had many people crying. That was one heck of a scene. The action scenes were incredible and the nostalgia with 89'Batman theme was just chefs kiss.

So great plot, amazing acting, good jokes and emotion then the negative of the movie? The CGI. God the CGI was awful in the movie. One of the worst in any CBM which is important cause flash relies on the CGI, unlike grounded characters such as daredevil or batman. It was god awful. I have no idea how Andy looked at it and was like yeah this works. The action scenes were so good, especially the last fight which was single-handedly brought down by the horrible CGI. In addition the music in some parts of the movie weren't great either. So overall an incredible movie brought down thanks to horrendous CGI and average music. 7.5/10 would reccomend.

If you ask me, it sure as hell was! First off, putting the allegations against him aside, Ezra does a great job playing Barry 1. He feels like he's taking things mostly seriously, something I didn't expect based on his performance in Justice League. Barry 2 on the other hand was a little annoying, and only really worked when playing off our main Barry. Michael Keaton and Sasha Calle were both great, especially Keaton. He was probably the best part! The CGI was very hit or miss. I t either looked fantastic or really really bad! The plot was engaging and quite emotional. The problem though was that Barry's arc was ruined 30 seconds after it was resolved, which really soured my thoughts on the movie. It's fun and epic, emotional and tragic, The Flash isn't as amazing as I wanted it to be, but it's still a great movie, despite it's flaws. Problem is, I don't think this is a movie that will get any better on rewatch, and I feel this is a movie I will end up liking less and less. Hopefully, that doesn't end up being the case! Expand

Andy Mushietti of the "It" films and the underrated Mama, proves to be a wonderful director for this material, as he handles the action scenes with efficiency and style, as well as scenes dealing with loss and emotion. Of course tying it all together is Miller. If they don't work, the movie doesn't work. Keaton's grizzled Wayne/Batman is the cherry on top. It may have come in late following all the multiverse themed movies and TV shows (Loki), but The Flash is a fun time. Expand

This wasn't terrible, but the CGI was. Good to see Michael Keaton as Batman again.

Miller finally brings a more nuanced take to the character, Keaton is outstanding and a joy to watch in the batman moments and Sasha is one of the strongest Super-people on film to date. More charisma than cavill by a country mile. Low expectations coming in, happy feelings going out. Worth the watch but also happy to see the final bits of Snyders DCEU put to rest. Expand

Despite some janky CGI and some jokes that don't really land, it's a fun movie.

There is a lot of humour in this one, but also some touching moments. The action is fun. The CGI are not so bad, once you understand it was conceive that way a bit distorted and comical. The actors are just superb. Yes, there are a lot of references to other films and cameos. But I felt they were well placed and in the tone of the movie. Ezra, Keaton and Sasha are excellent in their respective roles. One thing I though the film could have done more, are those moments of speed and accelerations. I give it 80%. I recommend you go see it in the cinema. I enjoyed that movie a lot, for it's good pace, humour and no political agenda.

Second watch: I have downgraded the review to 70%. There was two places where the CGI were really bad. 1- The hopital with the babies at the beginning. Poor choice of action because there is no way that scene would look real in CGI. 2- The fight scene at the end, where the compositing is just ugly by moments and you get zero sens of speed from the speedsters. I still think the chrono bubble scenes were exaggerated and cartoonist, by choice, because it's way too evident. I still think the movie is somewhat touching and funny at times. But it's sad to see that Zod combat scenes in the end, just feels partially finished.

Had a good time. Worse part is clearly CGI, but I since the movie was actually pretty entertaining, it didn't bother me too much. Some parts of the movie seem lazy though, visuals and choreography especially.

I enjoyed this more because it was surprising. I know, heresy. But I did. DC beat Marvel at the multiverse, imo. And not for some bizarre mission, but to save his mom. I guess I can finally forgive Ezra Miller for his horrible turn as the Trashcan Man in The Stand reboot. Expand

movie was fun and had great humor... definitely not perfect but the good parts outweighed the bad imo. If Ezra hadn't lost his mind this movie would have been much better received. He did a fine job as the Flash imo.

This film is essentially a time-travel adventure. Easily accessible, no need to have expert knowledge on the movies that came before. They even manage to show you, sort of, the origins of how Flash came to be in an original and creative way. Expand
