The performers do what they can with the tired material, with Starr mining his doofus character for all it's worth and Perlman making a committed investment that doesn't pay off. Very funny, with a backbone of racial/social justice. Feels like a timeless movie that will be relevant 20 years from now as it is today. Incredible performances from Martin Star and Ron Pearlman.
